friendly staff and environment. range of resources and great location
Hi there. Thank you for leaving us a review. It’s so nice to hear that your time at Hallam was so positive, and I hope this was the case for the rest of your time here too. We have created a lovely environment here and we have a great community of staff and students who are always there to help you out whenever you need it. We are so proud of both of our campuses and love how great the locations are. Our Collegiate campus is located just off Ecclesall road which is a lively student area and our City campus is right in the middle of town and right next to the train and bus stations. We love all of our facilities and resources that we have on offer for our students too. We have two 24 hour libraries, great social and study spaces and laptops and computers for students to use and rent. We will have even more when our new buildings open which is really exciting too! it’s a good uni campus but i would really enjoy seeing more societies such as an A-capella society

Good university and great societies

Our clubs and societies cover a huge range of interests in culture, active hobbies, creative arts, politics, and volunteer projects. There are also societies for academic subjects, which can be useful networks through your studies. Visit the Students’ Union where you can attend one of the many events hosted throughout the year.

The course content is thoughtfully structured. In addition to theoretical knowledge, a significant emphasis is placed on practical laboratory sessions, making the learning process both engaging and valuable.

We are very proud of all of our facilities and what we can offer our students. We have a 24 hour library on both of our campuses, as well as loads of study and social areas. We also have great course specific facilities such as our moot court and labs. Our tutors work so hard to ensure that every student learns a lot here and is happy and confident in their work. Sheffield Hallam Univetsity provides excellent facilities across its broad campus with fantastic hardware availability in the library as well as a large library collection. The internet connection is great across the entire university.

its nice place to live，its pretty close to city central

Excellent university with many facilities

Great accommodation and transport links

The University changes class time table with very short notice like less than 24 hours notice which affects students other plans not thinking about students who have to travel from far distances.. Setting Classes time tables on Friday not thinking about Muslim Students who goes to Mosque for Friday Jumna Prayers, Students who works part time on Friday and Saturday yet leaving completely empty no classes at all on Wednesday and Thursday.
Great university. Fits to all learning types and has great learning facilities. The WiFi is quite complex to connect to. I haven't been able to connect to it so I've had to rely on mobile data and hotspot

Sheffield Hallam is one of the better universities for societies and clubs while also having great location and lecturers

It is sucha. friendly place to be in. I do feel like there cpuld be a little more infomation on careers and how to live in sucha. big city. But so far I am enjoying being here and feel very welcome!

Great uni however the wifi won’t let me connect and I’ve been here for over a year

Staffs and teachers are very nice . Affordable tuition fees and it is so far so good to be in the city center.

Sometimes hallam help do not know the answers for our questions. More space of hallam kitchen would be better as there are many students during lunch time

The university experience so far has been great! I have enjoyed meeting people and getting to start my course. The staff are great and easy to talk to, the facilities for equipment and the vast areas like the library etc are really useful. The SU is dedicated and has a range of activities you can view at any time. Even though I haven't checked out the clubs/societies I know they're a lot within and around the university. The wifi was easy to get on and I have full coverage throughout the whole university.

Good uni. Nice central location with many accommodations nearby

Students in Sheffield can enjoy a range of exciting music, art and film festivals, as well as stylish restaurants and cosy pubs. We have a variety of accommodations varying in price and facilities and include bills! All accommodation is within walking distance of both campuses. SHU wasn’t my first choice for university but since staring in September, my university experience has completely changed my outlook on SHU. I have made friends for life, some which I am living with for the remainder of my time as a student. My campus is well looked after and is genuinely one of the nicest campus’ I have seen
