I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying your time with us so far at Hallam! We are proud that we have created a lovely community here of staff and students, so it is always nice to hear that students are having a good time with us.

We also love that both of our campuses are in a great location and are very central! Our city campus is right in the middle of town, close to the bus and train station and our Collegiate campus is just off Ecclesall Road which is a great student area with lots to do and only a 15 minute walk to town!

I am so happy to hear that you have made the most of all of our facilities that we have to offer. We have two libraries which are both open 24 hours which is really good as it means you can come whenever you need to study! They are good as they have quiet and silent rooms, as well as collaborative areas so there will be a place you can go – whether you prefer silence to work or if you need to work together on a group project!

We also have lots of other study areas across both of our campuses which means that students can study wherever if they don’t want to go to the library. We have our new buildings opening soon which will have lots more new facilities and study spaces too which is very exciting!

We are proud that overall, we have created a lovely community here at Hallam where all students feel understood and heard. Students are always helping each other out and our staff are great too at helping everyone.

Our societies are great – even though you have not joined one they do get good reviews from all of our students who do join them! We have loads of both academic and social societies and the socials are great too.

It’s nice to hear that you feel valued as we try our best to ensure that all students feel as though they are part of the Hallam community and are part of a team. We have created a really nice space for staff and students to feel like they are part of a community, and it is great to hear this has been your experience.

In terms of support, we make sure that every student has access to three advisors who can support them. Every student can access an employability team, a student support team and an academic advisory team which our students have found really helpful.

Firstly, I would like to say that we are really excited too about our new buildings opening – they will have lots of great food spots including a market kitchen which is really exciting! There will also be lots of social and study spaces too so it will be great.

We do have lots of other cafes dotted around our campuses which are well priced and popular with our students! However, when the new buildings open there will be lots more.

We love that both of our campuses are so close to the city centre as this means there is loads around us for students to do! Our city campus is right next to the train station and bus station, as well as lots of cafes and restaurants in town. Our Collegiate campus is located just off Ecclesall Road which is a great student area with loads to do! This is great for our students and lots of our students also choose to live around Ecclesall Road in their second or third years which is nice too!

All of our accommodation is great, so I am glad that you have had such a good experience living at the Trigon! We guarantee all of our first-year students a room in one of our halls of residence so you will always be living with other Hallam students which we think is great.

This also means we can ensure that all of our students are safe in all of our accommodation as we check it all and they are all very safe and secure.

We love that both of our campuses are so close to the city centre, and we think that they are in a perfect location, so I am glad that you think this too! We are so close to the train and bus station, which is great for our students who commute, as well as all of our students when they are going home. We love that both of our campuses are so close to the city centre- we are next to the train and bus station too which is great, especially for any of our students who commute! We are also so close to lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops and shops which is great too for a treat after Uni!

I am sorry to hear that there has been some political bias in your lessons. Our tutors are always open to feedback to better your experince, so you could always talk to them or email them about this as they will do their best to ensure this stops happening. Firstly, I am glad that you have found the campus and facilities to be really good - we are really proud of all of our buildings and the facilities that they offer. We also have a new building which will be opening in the new year and courses will slowly start moving over there which is very exciting! 

I'm also glad that you have found the careers service helpful - they are great and always try and help everybody as much as they can which is really nice when you are at University. 

I am sorry that you have found the library to be a bit dated - we have two libraries here and the Adsetts library is a bit more modern and bigger than Collegiate library due to Collegiate being an older building! 

I am also sorry to hear about your experince with the SU. Our student union is always looking for feedback and ways to improve so you could fill out this form and let them know your feedback abour putting more events on! 

We also have lots of restuarants and cafes across our two campuses which have good student deals so you might like to check some of these out!

I am so glad you have had such a positive experience at Sheffield Hallam, it's really nice to hear brilliant things about the university. I agree that the facilities are great and i also think that both campuses are in great locations. We also have a new building which is opening in January: https://www.shu.ac.uk/myhallam/university-life/departments-schools-and-centres-moving-to-new-buildings-on-city-campus and courses are going to slowly start moving over there which is really exciting. From the mock ups it looks great and I think the facilities will be even better over there. 

I am glad you have had a good experience with your lecturers too - I have always found mine great and really helpful so I am happy to hear this has been your experience too! Another thing that I think is good is that we have three different advisors as they have helped me with so many things throughout my time at university.

I am glad you have been enjoing being in Sheffield and at Hallam. I think that the city has so much to offer and is a great place to live! I would recommend trying out climbing if you haven't already - Sheffield has one of the largets concentration of climbers in the UK and there are so many great indoor climbing spots. Or, I also really love going to the peak district and going on walks theer so if you are looking for something new to do this is a great idea! I am really happy to hear that you feel very safe here at Hallam. Sheffield is reported to be one of the safest large cities in the UK and I have also always felt very safe here too. The univeristy also takes lots of precautions to ensure students are safe and they have a dedicated student support team who help students with any issues that they are having. 

The University accomodations are safe too and there are a variety of these which are close to both campuses so you wouldn't have to walk too far home after lectures which is important at this time of year when it is getting dark so early!

I am glad to hear you are enjoying your time with us at Hallam and have found the staff and facilities to be of a good standard. 

We have our new building too which is opening in January 2025 which looks like it is going to be great and I am sure the facilities there will be very nice too! The plans look good and we can see it being built which makes it very exciting. 

The staff here are great and all of the staff here are commited to ensuring that students get the best out of their university experince and achieve the highest grades that they can. Hallam achieved TEF gold for their teaching standard which is great and shows the commitment and passion the teachers have. 

You also get three advisors while you are at Hallam - an academic advisor, a student support advisor and an employability advisor who are always there to help students if they need it which is great and very helpful for students.

We are very proud of the facilities we have here, and we have a new building opening up in 2025 which will have all new facilities which will be a very good standard. It's nearly finished now and people will start to move across soon which is very exciting!

Hi there! I'm glad to hear that you have enjoyed being part of societies at Sheffield Hallam and have had a great experince with the staff here! I also really like the range of societes here and had a great experince as part of a social sports team as i found it fun but not too competitive which was good for me. I also have found the staff here to be really friendly and it's just a friendly city in general. I am also glad you have got to enjoy all of the facilites that Hallam has to offer. We also have our new building which is opening in 2025 which looks very nice and will have great facilities in here too. It's very exciting seeing this be nearly finished! 

The construction project management course itself is a great, well-accredited course and Hallam is the 5th best UK univeristy for construction, surveying and planning which is reflected in the facilities and teaching quality that you have experienced. All students when they join us get access to three different teams of support – an academic team, a student support team and an employability team. This is great for whenever you need help with anything as you always know that they are there to help you with anything.

I am really happy to hear that you have had such a great time at Hallam so far. We pride ourselves on the fact that all of our students and staff create such a welcoming environment for everyone and we have a lovely community of people here. 

We also love that our campuses are so close to the city centre which makes it so easy for all students to access everything in the city centre and we are really close to the train station too! We are also currently building a new building which will be opening in 2025 and will have lovely new facilities for all students to access which is very exciting! This will be very modern and clean just like all of our other buildings.

We are so proud of the community that we have here at Hallam - all of our students and staff are very friendly and welcoming and so many of our students comment on how much of a nice community we have. We have a very diverse community of students here which is so nice as you get so many oportunities to learn about so many different cultures.

All of the accomodations that we own are of a very high standard and ensure that they are accessible for everyone. We have 14 different options, all of a varying price range, and all are in close range of campus. 

We also offer all first year students a room in one of our halls of residence with other Hallam students so it is a geat option when you are coming to university!
