The facilities provided by the school for students are diverse and intelligent. Diamond and West Bank libraries provided places for me to study quietly. The student union and teachers are very concerned about our mental and physical health and provide help for our employment.

Great experience so far despite challenges of Covid and strikes. Haven’t had any issues and always felt like everything i needed was there.
This is my 4th year at Uni of Sheffield. I’ve loved every second of it. Before, during & after lockdowns, the academic side has been great. There are more societies than I can count & the SU is second to none.
whenever I go home I honestly can’t wait to go back to uni, which is something I never thought I’d say 3 years ago. great city and uni but what are they doing with the archaeology dep

Great campus, lots of things nearby for lecture breaks
The equipment at the teaching labs In school of biosciences is too old, though practicals can still be carried out. The covering area and the speed of Wifi are good, but often to be untable.
The school is ok, the curriculum arrangement is reasonable, and the teachers are also serious and responsible. The resources provided by the school are also more abundant
The university of Sheffield has a very good green environment, and the library and laboratory are very convenient, so that we can learn more knowledge in a comfortable environment.
The perfect student city and all around great uni!! Campus is always full of life with top facilities and amazing student union, plus there are hundreds of sports, clubs and societies to join!! Super welcoming and friendly atmosphere too :))

A very good university! The facilities are complete. I like the library best. The facilities are new and comfortable.
A decent campus and support services. A lot of libraries to support you studying efforts. In addition the lecturers are open to discussion and feedback. The only drawbacks are the strikes which significantly impact the studies once they take place.

It's a livable town with friendly staff and professors. The overall facilities are sufficient and fully capable of teaching. However, the clubs and clubs are relatively lacking compared to other schools, perhaps because of insufficient funds, which seems to be a bit lacking in equipment and venues.
I’ve loved every minute of my time at university
Sport is underfunded and sports facilities are below average. Especially for a uni that’s won varsity 8 years in a row.

The University of Sheffield is overall an excellent choice. Admission to me was excellent in terms of communication with the different staff, and the process itself (no hassle and good responsiveness). Learning there has been a positive experience so far.. courses are direct and clear and most teachers are excellent, apart from some who offer little interactivity (but those are minimal).. Facilities are great and you will always find something to do (joining clubs, sports, going out, trying something new...etc.) This has truly been a highlight to me. For example, Give it a go is a way to go to events almost every week. This was perfect for me, an international student, to get to know the fun and interesting stuff to go to and do in the UK. Would definitely recommend the UoS.

The campus buildings are quite close knit around the city which makes commuting from building to building much easier according to my timetables, i found it really easy integrating into university lifestyle and socialising through the wide variety of societies Sheffield has to offer, overall I am pleased that i chose to study here!

It is a professional university in a lovely city, only one thing that I have to say, there are so much slopes in Sheffield, some of them are really abrupt. It do takes me sometime to adopt it since I am always walking to class.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about University of Sheffield. It has been noted by lots of students that Sheffield has got a lot of hills compared to other cities! If you want to avoid walking to areas of the city, do look into the excellent public transport services available for example buses. If you are aged 18-21, there is a South Yorkshire bus card called a 'Zoom travel card' where you can get a single ticket for 80p. Alternatively, you can use your U card for student discount on public transport in the city. I hope you continue to have a great time in Sheffield! Best wishes, Becca

The learning environment is very good, the students are very friendly, the course schedule is also very reasonable, the teachers are very responsible
I really adore the diamond and IC building. As a student in the engineering faculty, I believe that our university has offered us the best study facilities and useful knowledge. The student’s union is the best!^ ^
