Very helpful professors and staff
I really like the University of Sheffield. The classrooms are well-equipped and the professors are very patient when discussing academic matters. I think I will gain a lot during my one-year study here.
I’m really enjoying my time at the University of Sheffield and I love the Wave, which is the building I study in the most. The Students Union is also amazing and I enjoy playing with the Women’s Rugby Team.

Lots of societies to get involved in
As an engineering student, this university offers everything I require. The engineering facilities are awesome because they're modern and spacious. The lecturers are friendly and the clubs/societies are really exciting. I've had a great 4 years studying here so far!
I love the university and all the services it provides, from the fair to the events at night. The location is perfect as it's close to libraries and different parks, and such lovely family-owned businesses. The lecturers and academic tutors are so kind and helpful, and the lessons are structured so well. We are constantly provided with help.
The service at the apartment is so heartwarming! The front desk staff are all very nice! They respond to feedback immediately, and the public areas are cleaned spotlessly every day. They also proactively help with parcel collection, showing thoughtfulness in every detail. It's a very reassuring and worry-free place to live.

It’s a great university. I’m currently doing my MSc here and the vibes are awesome! It has a lot of space on campus for working, with an amazing Students Union for Lunch - and with constant activities on campus. The lecture theatres themselves have character to them and are perfect sizes!
Really good Su and they have lots of facilities and offer help with jobs and careers. Wifi isn’t the best though- can be unreliable especially on laptops
Job assistance could be much better, as well as mental health support. Job and internship applications are only really applicable for second and third years, there’s very little which is appropriate for freshers
Clubs and societies could host more inclusive events.
I love living at the accommodation. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place to all of my friends.

I had a truly wonderful experience staying at True Accommodation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff — they were always ready to help and made me feel right at home. The room was spotless, well-furnished, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The atmosphere throughout the property was peaceful and welcoming, which made it the perfect place to unwind. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the design and cleanliness of the common areas. It’s clear that the management takes great pride in maintaining high standards. Whether you're staying short-term or long-term, I highly recommend True Accommodation. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, convenience, and excellent service so well. I’ll definitely be returning in the future!
As a international student this is best university i could choose for msc aerospace engineering
Everything is easily navigatable, lecturers are high calibre and explain things easily. The food is also spectacular, offering a wide range in its cafes and vendors from cake to sausage rolls.

Sheffield is quite unknown to international students but it is a really cool city and University. The lecturers seem like they really care and they make your course interactive and interesting instead of just talking.

I’m proud to be part of the University of Sheffield; it truly feels like home. From the very beginning, everyone at the university has been friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The support for international students is outstanding. The campus itself is beautiful, with a mix of modern facilities and buildings full of old soul and character. The labs are excellent and well-equipped, making them a great place to learn. One of my favourite places is the Information Commons, the 24/7 library, which is also open all year round, has been an absolute lifesaver during busy study periods and while working on my dissertation. Overall, my experience here has been amazing, and I’m grateful to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community.

Haven’t used careers service so can’t say much but from what I’ve seen and heard, looks good, internet disconnects sometimes but otherwise good. Students union and activities have all been great, good social balance with study.
Outstanding and state-of-the-art campus and facilities for study and leisure purposes. A real highlight of studying here is the SU which is organised, active, supportive and loads of fun. Reasonable support from the careers department for onward study or placement/graduate jobs. Internet is good enough for studying, and any problems raised are fixed in a reasonable time.
The best part for me has been the Students’ Union. It has loads of societies and fun activities. .
Amazing university and has great student experience
Lovely and lovely student village. Lots of events going on. Village shop is in the village on site which is a great place to get essentials ! The washing machines are on site too and very cheap to use

Absolutely no complains! I love the University of Sheffield and would recommend it to anyone. There's lots of opportunity to try new things or continue hobbies/sports you have done prior to university. The student union is really good especially the nightclub Foundry on a Wednesday evening for Roar!
University of Sheffield is an amazing place to be, from staffs to students to the city itself absolutely amazing.
Excellent connection in the library but a tad slow at my accommodation.
Very good univeristy with lots of good facilities. The diamond in particular has lots of good resources, and having multiple libraries gives a wide range of materials. Didn't use the Student Union much so not much to say on that. Careers teem is an especially useful (and friendly) resource and should definitely be used!
The university is excellent, offering outstanding education, supportive professors, and a vibrant campus. Its facilities are modern, well-maintained, and provide students with everything they need for learning, research, and personal growth.

I’ve just finished my first year at Sheffield University and I’ve loved it, I’ve made plenty of new friends through societies, all the building and facilities are beautiful and I feel very safe and supported.

I’ve really enjoyed living in this apartment. It’s clean, modern, and located in a quiet, safe neighborhood with easy access to shops and public transport. The space is bright and comfortable, with all necessary amenities in great condition. The management is friendly and responsive, and any issues are resolved quickly. Highly recommended!
The societies are great and such a good way to meet people and try new things. Would definitely recommend getting involved

I love the place so much, very student friendly
Living here has been a really good experience. The front desk staff are super nice and always happy to help — it really makes a difference when you’re far from home. Everything’s been smooth, and if anything ever comes up, they sort it pretty quickly. The building feels safe and chill, and overall it’s just a comfy place to live as a student.

I've had a positive experience at the University of Sheffield, I love going into campus, especially my building The Wave. There weren't any societies which appealed to me so that could be improved and diversified. The Student Union is fine, the shops expensive but they're always putting events on and I love the film unit. Career service is alright though I didn't secure a placement year they did help me secure an internship. Internet and Wifi has always been fine.
Very close to university and perfect condition for each room. the best location , close to stores , city centre , and most important west street :)

Very nice uni. The su has everything you could ever need (shop, cafe, food, social spaces, bar, club, ect) it's got a lovely feel and is nice and new. The uni has tonnes of resources as well as many places you can access computers for free and a massive university library

Overall, the campus has great facilities. It is just the distance between campus are a bit far ar tired to walk as there are steep hills there. A shuttle bus could potentially made it more convenient for students
