Good SU and good employablity hub, WiFi is inconsistent

Enjoying my time here. Campus is lovely, lots of places to eat/ hang out/ study. Wifi works fine for me but I know a lot of people who constantly have issues with it.
I absolutely love the university campus. The students union is always having events on and there is a society or club for everyone that are well-priced for memberships and socials. The facilities are excellent, I personally love the Information Commons buildings as there are a wide range of resources to use for work. The careers service is good and offers advice on anything related to careers in the future or at present. Overall the university is a brilliant place.
The university is super lovely. Feels like a community, campus is brilliant location.

Wi-Fi is a bit slow sometimes, but everything else is really good! SU is amazinf with so much to get involved with, and all the facilities are so accessible and fabtastic quality
The student union has everything you could want with lots of places to eat and places to buy food as well as study space. There is also so many clubs and society’s and you can also create your own. However the wifi is generally unreliable unless you are on a university computer.

Good study spaces and socials with lots of societies to join. Some libraries can get very busy and so it’s hard to find a seat. Friendly people and well sized campus!

Very big range of clubs and societies
The campus offers good facilities and a pleasant environment, leaving little room for complaints. Clubs and societies are a strong point, providing a diverse range of welcoming and well-organized groups catering to various hobbies and interests. The Students’ Union is a standout feature, celebrated for its excellent organization, active support, and engaging activities that truly enhance the student experience. The careers service is generally helpful with good communication, although there’s room for improvement to make it more proactive. However, the unreliable internet and Wi-Fi connection can be frustrating and detracts from an otherwise positive experience.
Everything is great in general, it seems the student and staff are closely connected and the university is always doing what it can for it's students. It is friendly and the services available are invaluable
The university is great, its within the city so there are lots of places to go to study if you get bored of the extensive range of university owned spaces.

Internet connection is often an issue for me personally. This noticeably can take place in areas all around the university, but apart from that, it is a great place to study.
The uni has lots of events on that are always advertised so I can always be involved.
i’ve only just started my first year, i’m nearly at the end of my first semester. i would recommend sheffield to anyone i’m really enjoying it. the staff are incredibly supportive.

Sheffield is great, I've feel really supported studying here and always find things to do on and off campus.
everything is great. a few problems with the wifi in the first few weeks (it kept kicking me off) but this has been resolved now

It’s very hard to judge the university, given that I’ve not studied at any other ones, so I have literally nothing to compare it to
all good, only slight issue would be that the internet is slow/unreliable

There is a society for any interest you could have and everyone is welcome to any of them. Lots of study spaces and food outlets in the SU.

I’m really enjoying studying at Sheffield with loads of societies and social events to get involved with but also lots of academic and career support available.

There’s lots of clubs and societies and opportunities in the students union
Students union is fabulous, the best out of UK unis. Plenty of clubs and societies, but you can also make your own if there isn't anything for you. There is free internet, but it is prone to disconnecting when your phone turns off (not power off, any time the screen goes dark) and isn't very easy to connect to in the first place. Campus facilities are good, apart from the Portobello Centre which seems to have really bad heating. Overall quite good, but like most unis, has potential for some improvements.
Such a wide range of clubs and societies for everyone no matter what you like to do. I like how some are on pay as you go basis (eg ice skating) so you don’t have to fully commit or there is always a casual membership available
There are so many societies to choose from and the student union has so much food choices and loads of places to chill

Sheffield is a very good uni with modern facilities. There are loads of different societies to join. The only issue is that the wifi is poor, although I don’t think this is exclusive to Sheffield.
Inclusive, welcoming environment with good study areas and libraries
I have had a very pleasant experience living in this student apartment. The environment is very comfortable, and the rooms are spacious and bright, which gives me a relaxing feeling every time I come home. The facilities are also quite comprehensive, with a gym and study rooms that meet all my needs. Additionally, the management team is very friendly and professional. Whether it's a repair request or any daily issues, they handle everything promptly. I would definitely recommend this place to future residents; it really is great!

In whole very welcoming experience, but wi fi is not great and I think ridge needs an upgrade
a good uni with a lot of support! Mostly very friendly and great first year accom (endcliffe/ranmoor). A mix of old and new buildings and a nice mix of city/campus.
Was never my first choice but I did end up making the decision to go to UoS and do not regret the decision in the slightest.
I got really nice experience in the societies!

Enjoyed my journey so far, been fairly easy to get into the swing of and maintain, facilities are amazing and I feel the access to the student union and societies has helped me a lot.

Wi-Fi is slow and unreliable generally - outstanding facilities with top SU
Endcliffe is a good place to live for the social life, Froggatt is a good block, close to the edge but not too noisy.
All the sectors mentioned are amazing, only gripe with wifi is that I, and everyone else I’ve mentioned it to, get disconnected from it all the time. Quite annoying but quickly resolved, you just enter the password again.
Wifi is horrible. Fix it. That's all
Great Uni, campus can be ugly in some parts
The campus is really good, there are some really lovely cafes and study spaces in most of the buildings which means you can always find a nice place to sit and wait for your next lecture or just chill for a bit. The students union always has an arrange of events which is great for first years and great to meet new people. there is a wide range of clubs and societies so no matter what your interested in, you will always find something you want to do!
Made use of the societies and clubs, a lot on offer plus the ones I have joined have been really friendly and welcoming. A lot of options for the careers service. Weekly emails for jobs is useful and the cv builders are practical and useful too. Wifi has had some connectivity issues, however the speeds have been pretty good.
I enjoy my time at university and my course.
University life is rewarding because there are always things to do. There are a great variety of societies to choose from.
