My time at the University of Sheffield has been incredibly enriching. The academic environment is stimulating, with dedicated faculty and diverse courses that challenge and inspire. The campus is vibrant and well-equipped, fostering a strong sense of community. The support services, including libraries and research facilities, are top-notch. Additionally, the city itself adds to the overall experience with its cultural richness and friendly atmosphere. Overall, the University of Sheffield provides an excellent academic and social foundation for students.
The environment is beautiful and clean, the room is large and comfortable to live in, and there is 24 hours security to ensure safety

Old building no place for fun

There are so many fun societies to join and the Sheffield as a city is a really fun place to live in.

A lot of clubs and societies. However some are quite expensive if you just join for the social team once a week

Best students union in the country
Poor quality tutoring, poor mental health services, striking and absent minded staff have dogged my experience and I would not recommend wasting tens of thousands of pounds on what is essentially an open university style qualification

Had a wonderful time on campus with no lack of comfortable study spaces and friendly staff and students all over the campus.
Every tutor at the university is very strict with the course, but sometimes there will be strikes, but the tutors who need to strike will still inform in advance, in any case, I am still very good for this study abroad experience, especially my graduation thesis supervisor is very nice.
A beautiful and happiness city with a famous University — the university of Sheffield. Love it!

Great Uni, could benefit from a few more facilities, updated gym, more sports space. But, nice location, nice buldings, my department (SEAS) very helpful and kind.

It has been a wonderful experience studying in university of Sheffield
Love how it is so international here. I got to meet lots of different people which was amazing.
Great Student Union (multiple award winning), interesting city, mix of old and new uni buildings, good cafes with meal deals for £5. Coffee is expensive though. Two libraries, plus medical library with an interesting range of books. Lots of support for students' mental and physical health and emotional support provided via wellbeing teams in each department as well as student NHS and Residence Life Mentors at halls. Personal Tutor system works well and mentoring available for first years. Interesting, flexible courses, but not much space for teaching in the arts department. Lots of lessons taught in Physics or Journalism block. Lots of provision for engineering and medicine though.

Overall it is good. But for some Chinese students the we ranking is not quite friendly these years.
Hope there is clearer instructions of copying near the printer. Especially when someone need to print two sides of a document on one side of the paper. Also it's a bit inconvenient that you can only top up the printing account under the school internet.

I had a good experience at the Engineering School at Sheffield University. There are experienced professors, helpful teaching assistants and friendly students. In addition, the University of Sheffield library is also very distinctive.
