Amazing accommodation that I live in
Ive really enjoyed my time here. Made memories for life. Would highly recommend
Its an alright campus but eduroam is one of the worst wifis ever made in human history
I think my university is pretty nice with everything, but I don't really like the career service team.
Awesome place with great social events and lovely rooms
Everything was amazing from the internet to amenities
The student accommodation is clean, well-maintained, and has everything I need for a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
So far I've had a great experience at Sheffield. All the people are lovely and the city has lots of fun things to do. My department offers a wide variety of experiences you can get involved in. And they are really helpful with advice on anything you may need.
Very comfortable and happy, the staff is very friendly, and the residents are also very qualified. It is a very pleasant experience.
My experience of the first year of uni at Sheffield has been brilliant so far! The buildings are beautiful and well equipped, the Diamond especially is a highlight for engineering students. The Students Union is incredible, offering great food, activities, and a convenient shop. The teaching has been well thought out and the instructors are helpful. No complaints!
So far the University of Sheffield has not disappointed me. Great facilities and great lecturers. Super compact and fast pace learning.
overall good experience at the uni. good location away from city centre and high quality facilities and services
University of Sheffield is so amazing, if you feel lost at any point there's always some on to reach out, In terms of studies, jobs ; you just need to know this facilities are they for you and use them.
i love sheffield because the student union is amazing and the lecturers are too!
Sheffield is a beautiful city with lots of greenery and the campus is beautiful as well, there are lots of good study spaces too. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the students union is brilliant. There is a society for everything and it is so easy to join things and go to activities run at the students union; bar one and the uni club foundry is also a great night out

I am really happy for this journey
I am very happy with my studio flat and the residence in general. It is located in the city centre with everything nearby, and the accommodation itself is fully equipped. I highly recommend it.
I like it and gym and room is big I like the window Also staff are kind and friendly It has many activities
There are many facilities,i like the room size.
I have been studying at the University of Sheffield and my experience so far has been very good. It is a welcoming university with a strong student atmosphere and a good balance between academic study and student life. One of the things I appreciate most is the variety of activities available. There are plenty of events, societies, and opportunities to get involved, which makes it easier to meet people and feel part of the university community. Sheffield itself is also a friendly student city, which adds a lot to the overall experience. The staff have been supportive, approachable, and helpful whenever needed. This makes a real difference, especially when adjusting to university life and managing coursework. Overall, the University of Sheffield offers a positive environment to study in, with a good community, helpful staff, and lots of opportunities both academically and socially.
The reception staff were the best; they were incredibly welcoming and proactive, resolving issues quickly and efficiently. The gym was excellent, with complete facilities. The rooms were large and beautiful, featuring huge floor-to-ceiling windows.
The wifi is sometimes not working but it is understandable since its a huge university with lots of people using.
I’ve had a great experience at the university of Sheffield so far. I study mechanical engineering ans well ans Japanese on the languages for all scheme and I am part of many societies, including SHUOC, Mario Kart Soc, Cath Soc, Flying teapots and cubing society. My course is really interesting with a high workload. I highly recommend the language is full scheme. It’s very manageable and I find it to be a lot more effective than learning independently. What’s great about Sheffield duty as well is the student union. There are so many brilliant clubs and societies to pick from(400+ I think), so there should be something for everybody. I live in Ancliff accommodation and I think the combination is great. It has a large desk and under bed storage. What issue with my ensuite room is that the shower water doesn’t drain from the floor like it’s supposed to, but that’s the only major complaint I have.. I like that the Sheffield has both a city vibe and the Peak District is only a short Bus awa
In terms of aerospace division it's one of the best in the uk.
Really nice university, made a lot of good freinds, have good lecturers and amazing facilities as well as societies
The Sheffield University Management School offers strong facilities and solid career support, which really helps with both studies and future opportunities. The main downside is the lack of a proper cafeteria, which can be inconvenient. Aside from that, it’s a good overall experience.
The University campus is huge and walkable, with many green spaces available. There are plenty of choices for libraries and other study spaces across campus, although these get filled up pretty quickly during exam season. The professors are generally all lovely and ready to help you succeed, but this may vary by faculty. There’s also plenty to do outside of uni, with 50+ sports societies and 200+ other societies, and the SU are great at supporting the societies and the students, although they have been struggling in the 25-26 academic year due to funding cuts. Overall, I would recommend!
Great mini and friendly especially saf
Great University with a friendly atmosphere
Pretty nice overall !i quite like the uni
very nice people close relationship to professors
Amazing living, always celebrates good festivals
Overall good experience, big range of societies and great student union, although occasionally uni wifi doesn’t work, the facilities could be better maintained and the Careers service is not as helpful as I hoped it would be.
My stay was wonderful! The room was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect, quiet yet central. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Best acom ever, good staff quick service and clean rooms
Good uni, located in a nice part of town
My experience at the University of Sheffield has been really positive overall. The campus is good, there are loads of clubs and societies to get involved in, and the Students’ Union runs regular events. The careers service is also helpful, especially for placements and future opportunities, though the wifi can be a bit unreliable at times.
Very good university that has a really good international community
Great uni. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Great SU with loads of activities and events.
Uos has an amazing campus and so many amazing societies
excellent university to make your career
It's an excellent university both academically and socially. It works towards building community as well as having excellent academic standards.
Huge range of societies for every subject, sport, ethnic minority groups and interests. Loads of social areas throughout city and by campus. Range of career support systems, degree workshops and internship opportunities
There is a plethora of of places to study, may it be a silent space, a social space, a space with computers, or places you book to ensure a space(usually important during exam season). There is a wide range of societies that tend to be fun and very skilled at what they do. the student union is incredble, with lots of events, a shop, places to eat, a cafe, a bar, and a club. I have never used the careeres service but they inform you of lots of inturnships, placments etc. The internet is ok most of the time.
It would be better if there were more places to refill water in each building.
As a first year student i have found it so easy to socialize and adjust to the university
great uni - loving it here so much, love foundry nights out! roar and poptarts especially!!!
really good wifi again and all events are good
St Vincent’s place has been good accommodation so far for me, I like it and it feels comfortable as it is always near my lecture area ☺️☺️
Love the uni, it’s so beautiful and there’s always so much going on
A good university with good facilities.
Good SU, WiFi in all buildings
Great SU with lots of amazing and random societies to join.
eduroam is really rubbish and bad
I've really enjoyed my time here at uni. I love that there are so many clubs and societies. I also love the give it a go sessions . it makes uni so fun. Also i love that every tuesday i get a free postgraduate meal at the university arms . Overall amazing amazing experience.
great experience at the university of sheffield
A wide range of opportunities and support available to all students. A safe and welcoming feel
It's pretty lovely and all the staff and people I've met have been wonderful.
The uni is very pretty and wifi is good
Really lovely uni, everyone is very welcoming. Facilities are all brilliant and modern.
eduroam is notoriously bad but not much the uni can do about that. some of the lecture rooms are a little cramped especially if you’re trying to take notes but i love the student union
Just love this university, everyone should come here
the student union is very good here
Shore court is very cost-effective accomodation in Sheffield. But sometimes internet connection is bad especially night times.
I've had lots of fun exploring and looking around the student union. Always a lot of stuff going on, really exciting.
Clubs are so great and helpful for meeting people as an exchange student. I like all the students union events. Most of the classrooms and buildings are also really nice. Can't really comment on the careers services.
I’ve really enjoyed my time at university so far. The lecturers are knowledgeable and supportive, and they genuinely care about students’ progress. The course content is engaging and encourages critical thinking rather than just memorising information. One of the best parts of university life has been the societies. There’s such a wide variety to choose from, whether you’re into sports, cultural groups, academic interests, or just want to try something new. Societies make it so much easier to meet people outside your course and build real friendships. Being involved in societies has definitely made my university experience more fun, social, and memorable.
