Organisation of things outside of the course not good such as grading and information on exams.
I’ve joined many societies and had the chance to go to many events where I’ve met amazing people who I speak to regularly now. I’ve been automatically connected to Eduroam in every building I’ve gone to as well and it hasn’t been a hassle which is great.
A great experience overall. Good resources, amazing student union. Good library facilities + study spaces, including the Centre for Student Life.
As a current international student studying in Cardiff University, I must say that it offers a fantastic student experience, blending academics with a vibrant city life. Its diverse and high-quality programs are taught by passionate experts, fostering critical thinking and engagement. Beyond academics, the student union offers a wealth of societies and opportunities for personal growth. The lively city of Cardiff provides with a rich cultural backdrop, as it is the capital of Wales and offers a student friendly environment; the main reason I chose Cardiff in the first plac3e. I personally feel that it is an excellent choice for those seeking a rewarding and well-rounding university experience.
I honestly love Cardiff University. It’s such a great place to study. There are loads of good spaces around campus to get work done, whether you want somewhere quiet or a bit more lively. The library is great but there are also loads of hidden spots that are perfect for studying or meeting up with coursemates. The societies and clubs are such a big part of uni life too. There is something for everyone and it is such a fun way to meet people and try new things. It really makes you feel part of a community. Overall, it is just a great vibe here and I am really glad I chose Cardiff.
I've really enjoyed my first year at Cardiff University. I am studying Applied Software Engineering. The course is a fantastic way to help build your coding knowledge and gain the skills needed to become a software engineer without having to learn a lot of the theory that is taught on Computer Science courses. I personally didn't enjoy the theory aspect of Computer Science so this was the best option for me. If anyone else is in the same boat as me then this is the perfect course for you.
The wifi service can be difficult sometimes. The carrers services are great but i think they need to be advertised more as I only found out about most of them in my final year, such as career confident which was amazing.
Student union is amazing, the rest is all just decent
Generally a good experience on the campus even though the uni is way too much complicit with what is happening in Palestine lol
Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. This place is not worth your money or peace of mind
