Cardiff uni is the best uni, has the best people and societies, and has great academic facillities. It is also in the best city
Eduroam is difficult sometimes but often works well. I have never really known about the career services offered so maybe more information about that in freshers week would be helpful.
Cardiff is a pretty well round university with great facilities and a variety of places to eat, shop and study on campus. The student union are always active and welcoming, coming up with different things for everyone to take part in. I have heard good things about the careers service and seen them around, but have not actively participated myself in interacting with them a huge amount - i hope to look more into it going into second year
Studying at Cardiff University has been a really positive experience overall, with a strong sense of student life that makes it stand out. One of the biggest highlights is the range of societies on offer. There’s genuinely something for everyone, whether you’re into sports, creative arts, academic interests, or just want to try something completely new. It makes it easy to meet people and feel part of a community, especially in your first year. The Students’ Union is another major strength. It’s well-organised, active, and plays a big role in student life. From hosting events to supporting societies, it creates a lively and inclusive atmosphere. It also ties closely into the nightlife, which is a huge plus in Cardiff. The city itself is very student-friendly, with plenty of clubs, bars, and live music venues that make nights out fun and accessible without being too expensive. In terms of facilities, the university offers a solid standard. Buildings are generally well-maintained, and
I love studying in Cardiff! The societies and SU are great - I’ve met so many great people through Cardiff Uni. I will definitely remember my time here and take the memories I’ve made with me for life. The internet is great in all libraries and communal areas (though during exam periods it is hard to find a space in the various libraries on campus). The quality of teaching as a modern languages student is okay, although could do with more contact hours as language learning requires more immersion than 2 hours of Spanish language a week. I know that this is not the fault of the lecturers; they have been the best teachers I’ve ever had (even better than school) - in particular Angelo Silvestri and Nazaret Perez-Nieto. Because of their enthusiasm and interactive seminars, I am very much looking forward to returning for my final year in September. The current problem I am facing during my year abroad is the lack of support offered by Cardiff University regarding visas. I am distressed by t
Cardiff is wonderful! I am enjoying my studies here.
A really goof university for medical students
Excellent accommodation and I really love the ambience
Good uni, good courses with a great student life and amazing SU. Lots of support provided if needed and nothing worthy of actual complaints overall.
Very nice uni city, uni itself is lovely. Staff are helpful and there are lots of resources for support. As an estranged student I particularly appreciate the Together at Cardiff bursary fund.
