Getting a room at The Bakery came at a much needed time, I couldn't have asked for something better. Top of my reasons why I recommend this facility is the staff. The customer service is top notch, and they really care about their residents. I have a classic ensuite room in a flat of 5 bedrooms, which is okay size wise. The kitchen is well equipped as well. Perhaps, tvs in the kitchen spaces would be a welcome idea as the only tvs are on in the social spaces on the ground floor, which cannot take many people at a time . Please consider this TB team 😌🙏. Lastly, the location is great, with about 10mins walk to the city center, and there are lots of amenities around such as shops, gyms, restaurants, churche, mosque, etc. You could even catch the fair trade markets on Sundays.

Really friendly staff and nice environment :)
Proximity to river taff and city center was my attraction and also the cost. They have sizeable rooms with miniature bath...lol! The renovations was hell-ish for me but over all, I will recommend the bakery to anyone anyway!
Had many issues in the winter and autumn period because living next to the river causes issues in this accommodation. I suffered with an ongoing mould problem. But if you keep on top of it. It will be fine. The bathrooms are too small but the rooms are fine, the kitchen room tends to slam and if you're looking for quiet accommodation. Please take in consideration that there is alot of traffic at certain times on Pendryis Street and at the moment construction has had a bad affect on this accommodation as most things now are taped up and not properly fixed by the staff. But the staff if you are willing to talk to them are nice and welcoming as hell and are a highlight to the accommodation. However, if you are anxious or suffer with being a bit awkward, please consider that you would have to walk past the reception desk daily to come in and out this accommodation. But my experince has been fine, most of my negatives can be down to flatmates as it depends on who you get.

The room sizes are quite small. There is no common areas for social gathering. Rooms are furnished and Kitchen is fully equipped with lounge seating.

Thank you for taking the time to review your current stay with us. I'm disappointed to read you feel your room is small, this is not something we have received negative feedback for. Our communal spaces are limited but we do provide an area with tables and chairs, sofa, large TV and gamestation for our students to use at their leisure. This is located opposite our main reception and I do hope you can find the time to enjoy these facilities.
It's OK. Bit brilliant, but at last check it's the cheapest Private Halls in Cardiff. Free WiFi tips out at 50mb which is fine. Its not blistering fast but it's free so can't whinge. You can go up to 100mb but Ask4 (the provider) are extortionate. Last year lots of foreign students, and a good.mix of first second and third years with a handful of master's guys too. Socially it's meh, there's no common it social spaces apart from a couple of sofas in reception. Usually a free barbecue at move in, and the staff to be fair are good. BCD blocks have no lift so if you're disabled you'll need to let them know you need the lift. Only qualm is the heat. Not even full summer and my rooms topping out at 36°c which is mental. Buy a fan! You're all of five mins stumble to the pub and the the city centre so always somewhere to go.
Security are awful, don’t bother staying here if you own a bike. They’ll tell you off for trying to use the gate, and tell you off for trying to bring it through reception. This place is run by clowns.
No common room in the building, which makes getting to know everyone not easy. Nobody is very chatty.
Best things about liberty park is the location. It's about a 15/20 minutes walk to uni (usw) which some consider bad but I don't think it's that far of a walk. Also, it's about 10/15 from town, easy walk, good for getting to clubs, and if you're feeling lazy, an uber is only £4. What else is good is the staff, can't fault them, any time there were any problems they were really quick to sort them, they also tried to help if you fell out with flat mates. As well as this, the beds are super comfy! Bad things are, no common room- other than the reception area which has a TV, the trains... they can be really noisy depending on which floor you're on and which side of the building. The laundry is really expensive if you do a wash and tumble dry- I think it's about £4-5. Also I'd say due to the small size of the overall accommodation and kitchen/living area it isn't great for social- having more than 8 people round was difficult as we were so tight for space. Minus all of that.. I had fun!
good location.. there is no common room
Amazing experience and great management, location is ideal for students and transport links are phenomenal.
Nice to be by the river, long way from the uni, not far from the shops but it is far from the clubs. Not very sociable flats.
Absolutely outstanding people that live here, there was a lot of activities set up in freshers and after by management to help us make friends. The location is phenomenal as it's just next to the city centre which enables easy access to shops and bars and also keeps you tucked out of most of the drama on match day even though the millenium stadium is right opposite the accommodation. Where the money is concerned I think it's scandalous at almost £5000 per year, but I guess it's personal opinion. Staff were not accommodating to students who's student finance were late in. There's no cleaners which sucks, I know of halls that have cleaners and are cheaper than the one I live in. There's no common room, you do get a tiny kitchen/living area which gets far too warm during parties. B,C and D block all have 4 floors and no elevators, I think that should be changed as it is so hard to move in and out. Overall the halls aren't perfect but they have a quirky charm.
