The environment is amaizng, there is a gym nearby the dorm and this gym provides a swimming pool, so it’s very convenient and friendly for peoples who like workout
Good location, en suite rooms are fair, however would be great if main entrance gate could be opened after 8pm for safety of students, it is quite dangerous to be walking to the North road entrance especially at night and also during rain
ALL STAFF ALWAYS HELPFUL AND WILLING TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS, VERY GOOD LOCATION, SOMETHING LIKE A COMMON ROOM WOULD BE GREAT
Good staff, reception is friendly
The rooms are spacious and the facilities available make student live easy
Excellent service good environment 👍 👏
I think it is a very warm accommodation. The reception will respond to us quickly if we have any problem. I also enjoy the festoval event they organised.
Very good experience. Rally good staff who are super friendly
The staff here are absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful! Always available to lend a hand and give some advice. Hannah and Ryan in particular have always gone above and beyond to give us loads of help and support. Thanks guys!
This accommodation is great. Ryan is really helpful.
The staff have been very friendly and responsive, and the space you get is great for the price.
Overall high quality experience, rooms are decent for the money. Staff are really friendly and helpful, they make the biggest difference. Social space is a bit lacking but this is a limitation of the space rather than anything else
The accommodation itself was well-maintained, clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities such as a study desk, wardrobe, and a comfortable bed. The kitchen was also well-equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils for cooking.
Cambrian Point, Cardiff, is a comfortable place to stay for us students!
Very nice room for what I pay and good security.
It's been a really good experience so far
Good experience and good middle point between heath and town for me - maybe less suitable for other students.
The staff are absolutely brilliant and the value for money is exceptional. Would benefit from a cleaner that goes around the flats once a week.
Very away from city centre.. no study space.. no communal area
Brilliant place for accommodation, I’d recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay with friends. Friendly staff and there is always something going on.
Living at Cambrian point had been an amazing experience, it’s affordable with great facilities and a really nice room and living space
I love living here! And the events are so cute!
Overall a good experience. Location is the best to get to experience both calmness and city life. Value for money is the best.
I have been staying here for 18 months now and overall my experience has been great here.
Great accommodation with really helpful staff. Glad to be here :)
0 value for money. The laundry alot of times took the coins but didnt deliver the cards, and the staff didnt help at all in that. Lift being a utility that students pay for was unavailable for the whole tenancy, no concession in rent was given. Staff management regarding security was poor. Wifi was very poor and was the worst when it came to end of tenancy. Some of the night staff was very rude and arrogant to alot of students.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about the issues you have had whilst staying with us. We do aim to fix issues as soon as possible. We have been working hard to get the lift on site up and running, unfortunately things like this do take some time. Regarding compensation I can say this was given to tenants who couldn't use the lifts during their tenancy, Please contact the team on site for further information. The laundry room has now been transferred over to the cards, we apologise this wasn't as efficeint as it should have been during your stay with us. We will be feeding back to our laundry providers regarding the issues that were faced. Our Wifi provider is Glide, they are available 24/7 and will always aim to solve the issue as soon as possible. The team onsite can help contact the Wifi proviers on your behalf. All further issues will be dealt with and investigated. If you would like to discuss the issues further please get in touch- Cambrianpoint-Cardiff@unitestudents.com.
Room is good but the maintenance and service is the worst. Lift didn't function for an entire year. Cant use main gates past 8. Half the washing machines doesn't work.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you like your room at Cambrian Point. We are sorry to hear that you have been let down by the service and maintenace on site. We do aim to fix issues as soon as possible. We have been working hard to get the lift on site up and running, unfortunately things like this do take some time. As part of the building requirements for Cambiran Point the main gate cannot be used after 8pm or before 8am this is something that is out of our control. We will be feeding back to our laundry providers but if you have issues with the washing machines on site please get in contact with the team on site, they can support with getting the washing machines back up and running. If you would like to discuss the issues further please get in touch- Cambrianpoint-Cardiff@unitestudents.com.
Really happy with my choice to stay here

Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that are enjoying your time with us.
Where do i start with Cambrian Point? I moved in as an undergrad and immediately prospects were dismal. Before i came, i was forced to do a room change in which i was coerced to pay for a larger room, then i arrived there and just everything went downhill. I was paying £162 a week for a room that i did not like or want and a laundry room and that was about it. Within literal days of me moving in, one of my flatmates moved out, citing "isolation" as her reason for going, I myself was incredibly lonely and isolated and stuck in this tenancy agreement with this vulture like company. Two of my other flatmates didn't even want to live in Cambrian Point, they had been tricked into it after putting in their deposit for other student accoms which were not actually available despite being advertised as such and had felt pressured into accepting the tenancy. This place is like a prison, please, don't live here. The social isolation is too much for any average person and its not worth the £££.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here, it’s been a horrific experience. There hasn’t been one day of peace whether it be from the loud building site next door (which apparently has been here for a while) or the constant ‘contractors on site’ disturbing you in the flat and rooms. Making you constantly on edge whether there’s going to be a stranger at your door, especially during a pandemic. You also can’t get your parcels til after 5pm which is a major inconvenience especially for us who work as well as attend uni. The wifi is a good speed though, so you can’t fault that. I would recommend going into private education, but I’d stay far away from Cambrian point.
I owe cambrian point £1089.00 yet every time I try to pay they never even pick up the phone, they are sending me constant letters to pay yet I try to email them and get no response, this has been going on for weeks now, coronavirus or not I don't give a damn, you have chosen to not even divert your phone calls. How do you expect me to pay when you wont even pick the damn phone up? I was told before leaving tenancy that you would be in touch with a link for me to pay online due to covid19 well wheres that link then. Stop sending me threats and respond to your damn emails. Not only that I used to be in Liberty Court their other accomidation but I had to move becuase I had a drug dealer in my flat sniffing coacine from the kitchen tables! Rather than let me out of tenancy they transferred me to Cambrian point. Terrible company never again
The actual accommodation was good, with it having ample space (for the deluxe room) and a large area of social interactions. The problems arise with the way it was run. The security were there less than half the time which was disconcerting. The elevator broke and took nearly 9 weeks to fix which is especially annoying if you live on the 5th floor and need to bring your shopping up. Furthermore one staff member leaked all personal information to every tenant including names, phone numbers, home addresses, DOBs etc which was brought up immediately with them. Followed by a pathetic answer for regarding it as a mistake. The laundry facilities provided by circuit laundry were poor and cost £4.30. With that being said the actual facility I cannot fault, as it did feel secure. If it was £1500 cheaper it would be worth the money but with the failures listed above I simply cannot recommend this to anyone. There is a deep issue with the management of this accommodation and could be much better.
Really nice halls compared to the university owned ones. The rooms are very spacious with double beds and en-suite rooms. You’re provided with a flat screen tv which covers the tv license so no need to worry about that. You are given a hoover, ironing board also. However, the social aspect of it doesn’t match to talybont. If you’re a fresher and want to be going out every night then I wouldn’t suggest these halls. It’s quiet and it’s mainly full of international students. The location is around a 10 minute walk to lidl and 15 minute walk to uni depending on where you’re lectures are based. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s situated within a nicer location of Cathays. The staff are very friendly and will help with any queries with your room or communal spaces.
Amazing! So clean and such friendly staff. Beds are double. Wifi always brilliant. Very social
Not particularly wild when it comes to nightlife... Lots of international students. Expensive but it's definitely a lot more spacious than other halls.
Well maintained halls with a lift, spacious kitchen and spacious bedrooms. Double bed and decently sized ensuite with a well working shower. A bit pricey but worth it. Near the town centre (20 min walk) and very near business school. No shortage of people wanting to go out/have pres but also not too loud
Amazing, so clean, massive social area, huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Wifi is so good and location is on point
I was originally worried that this accommodation wouldn't be social and would be full of internationals, but I've only been here 2 months and love it!! I have to admit it's not as social as taly, but there's always someone to go out with. The rooms are lush compared to some accommodation, every room has a double bed, ensuite and spacious desk. Security on site are also fab and we have cleaners every Thursday! It's a little more expensive than some, but I can't fault it!
Really friendly staff and management, rooms and kitchen areas are large. Highly recommend these halls
Expensive but good management and the double beds are a massive benefit. Spacious rooms but little cupboard space in the kitchen which is annoying. Lack of a cleaner is not so good. Close to uni and shops but a bit of a walk from central Cardiff. Overall a good place to live :)
