I owe cambrian point £1089.00 yet every time I try to pay they never even pick up the phone, they are sending me constant letters to pay yet I try to email them and get no response, this has been going on for weeks now, coronavirus or not I don't give a damn, you have chosen to not even divert your phone calls. How do you expect me to pay when you wont even pick the damn phone up? I was told before leaving tenancy that you would be in touch with a link for me to pay online due to covid19 well wheres that link then. Stop sending me threats and respond to your damn emails. Not only that I used to be in Liberty Court their other accomidation but I had to move becuase I had a drug dealer in my flat sniffing coacine from the kitchen tables! Rather than let me out of tenancy they transferred me to Cambrian point. Terrible company never again
The actual accommodation was good, with it having ample space (for the deluxe room) and a large area of social interactions. The problems arise with the way it was run. The security were there less than half the time which was disconcerting. The elevator broke and took nearly 9 weeks to fix which is especially annoying if you live on the 5th floor and need to bring your shopping up. Furthermore one staff member leaked all personal information to every tenant including names, phone numbers, home addresses, DOBs etc which was brought up immediately with them. Followed by a pathetic answer for regarding it as a mistake. The laundry facilities provided by circuit laundry were poor and cost £4.30. With that being said the actual facility I cannot fault, as it did feel secure. If it was £1500 cheaper it would be worth the money but with the failures listed above I simply cannot recommend this to anyone. There is a deep issue with the management of this accommodation and could be much better.
Really nice halls compared to the university owned ones. The rooms are very spacious with double beds and en-suite rooms. You’re provided with a flat screen tv which covers the tv license so no need to worry about that. You are given a hoover, ironing board also. However, the social aspect of it doesn’t match to talybont. If you’re a fresher and want to be going out every night then I wouldn’t suggest these halls. It’s quiet and it’s mainly full of international students. The location is around a 10 minute walk to lidl and 15 minute walk to uni depending on where you’re lectures are based. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s situated within a nicer location of Cathays. The staff are very friendly and will help with any queries with your room or communal spaces.
We have been tottlay jooped by liberty letting who have hard sold our daughter a room saying had to book space running out etc we have then realised that it's mostly international students ... the uni has its own accommodation that she was guaranteed a place at .... We then tried to cancel liberty Cambrian and have been told we can not !! Even though it advertises no deposite needed ( we paid one !) it says you can cancel on there terms and conditions but you will loose £100 ) My husband spoke Henna Olah-Nagy Who verbally said we could cancel no problem !!!! put it in an email .... which we did then she phone back to say no we can't and we're tied in to pay the full amount of over £5000 We do not want anything to do with this company it is upsetting and disgusting that they are leagally aloud to hard sell tie you in to contacts you can't get out of ... cause upset to family's I recommend to everyone not to book any accommodation with liberty living ever
Amazing! So clean and such friendly staff. Beds are double. Wifi always brilliant. Very social
Not particularly wild when it comes to nightlife... Lots of international students. Expensive but it's definitely a lot more spacious than other halls.
Well maintained halls with a lift, spacious kitchen and spacious bedrooms. Double bed and decently sized ensuite with a well working shower. A bit pricey but worth it. Near the town centre (20 min walk) and very near business school. No shortage of people wanting to go out/have pres but also not too loud
Amazing, so clean, massive social area, huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Wifi is so good and location is on point
I was originally worried that this accommodation wouldn't be social and would be full of internationals, but I've only been here 2 months and love it!! I have to admit it's not as social as taly, but there's always someone to go out with. The rooms are lush compared to some accommodation, every room has a double bed, ensuite and spacious desk. Security on site are also fab and we have cleaners every Thursday! It's a little more expensive than some, but I can't fault it!
Really friendly staff and management, rooms and kitchen areas are large. Highly recommend these halls
putting Cardiff University students in these halls is just plain cruel. Being put in a flat with Indian students on their year abroad is just not fair. My freshers was awful as I had no friends to hang out with and I am at a severe disadvantage with my options for people I would like to live with next year. It ruined my first year and I was so so lonely all year long. Imagine moving away from home at 18 to a city where you know no one and being given no chance to make friends. It is just cruel of the university and I will never forgive them for giving me a really crap first year.
Expensive but good management and the double beds are a massive benefit. Spacious rooms but little cupboard space in the kitchen which is annoying. Lack of a cleaner is not so good. Close to uni and shops but a bit of a walk from central Cardiff. Overall a good place to live :)
