I'm in the Jomec building, it's so pretty and clean (mysterious too since it's only for us media students:) JP is ugly, but it's close to Sir martin evans and the SU so I'll give it a point for that
provides a lot of different opportunity
I’m in the maths school, the building is really nice and new, there’s some great spaces to work away from the busy library and CSL. Lectures are good, in my course there’s no seminars after first year so you have to a bit more individual learning but you get given work to do still. Careers team in maths building is ok but definitely not as good as Business school careers team, which is how I found my placement. Lots and lots of societies and things to do, definitely think we have a great student union.
I like my university for the support it is providing and also the range and the variety it offers in terms of societies, courses and also really valuable help from staff in terms of any need such as placement, technical issues, health and safety access or disability support. As an international student, I am grateful to have been recieving all these facilities through my university and am also proud about the fact that it's a Russel group university.
This is the coolest both academically and activity wise in UK
great uni with always something to do!
During my time at Cardiff university I have always felt that there have been good services for students and appropriate amounts of support, I find the university very welcoming and easy to navigate. Dealing with the university never feels tedious or annoying. If anything is to be improved I would say the student union could use more and better seating and have more dedicated study areas for students to work. As of now during term time its hard to find a seat there on weekdays.
great facilities and lecturers
only real complaint is the wifi, the uni uses eduroam, which has a habit of failing to connect semi regularly
The lecturers and professors in Cardiff University are so kind.
