Loughborough University has a very complete campus area and a beautiful landscape. Compared to universities in larger cities, Loughborough has a more clustered academic area, which makes it easier for all students to be efficient.

Overall the University is a brilliant place to study and the quality of teaching together has made it very enjoyable as I come to the end of my studies for my undergraduate. Two major issues are the wifi and the students union. The wifi in some buildings and accommodations is not to the standard that students deserve. Some of the coverage does not work and sometimes drops out completely during important moments such as online exams. The student union and the behaviour of students within the student nights need to be addressed. Since the return to full flow after the pandemic issues with overcrowding and being suffocated in the basement area is prominent. It has severely ruined my friends and my experience during this and we have boycotted them as a result for not feeling precisely safe that we won't be trampled. Security on these nights also needs addressing as they are neither friendly nor helpful when someone is in trouble, quite the opposite reactions instead.

The university has great facilities and an outstanding campus! Great value for money for the number of lectures, labs and contact time students receive especially compared to hundreds of other universities which have hardly any modules. There is great support by tutors as well as lectures if help is required. The sport facilities are outstanding at Loughborough especially IMS sport which is where halls compete against each other. This allows everyone to get involved with sport at a much lower and fun level.

I've enjoyed my time at Loughborough, lecturers are engaging and the content feels like it would help in a career situation. The extra-curricular activities and wide selection of clubs/sports are excellent and have made the experience even better. I haven't made use of careers services and the internet connection can be a bit in and out. Overall, great experience so far.

Really good uni but not very diverse in terms of nights out at the union. They took away the hiphop and rnb room which made the club not inclusive for minorities or people who only listen to that music. The sports are also ridiculously expensive throughout the year too

Campus is very large and has everything you need, like mini village. Town centre is not too far which makes it convenient for food shops and night outs. Lots of bike storage and bus going around to make it easier

I study art so the art facilities are really professional. I’ve learned about UV printing and even using a screen printing machine. My lecturers are very kind and helpful too.

It has been a joy to be part of the loughborough family!! I've loved the campus ever since my first open day when I was 16, It feels like such a community here, with so many opportunities to advance your academic, social and sporting ambitions. I feel like the student village gives an american college vibe with all the competition/stash/chants/punch parties- very frat house-esque (in a good way). The team spirit of the halls of residence really makes you feel part of a tribe, and gives that added opportunity to meet people and make friends. The typical student that comes here has a good work life balance, a proactive and practical mindset, and they don't take things too seriously, very down to earth (not the vibe I got from other unis). I have fit in very well here and definitely grown as a person thanks to my placement year (shoutout the wolfson placement team). The careers network is such a useful place for job and placement hunting too. 100% recommend TeamLboro

I came to Loughborough through clearing and knew nothing about the university when I applied. When the coach arrived in the university I knew I was going to love it here. The people were very nice and kind, and my lecturers were extremely welcoming. The vibe in the university with its open spaces and student-friendly town really made my experience a beautiful one.

Very spacious campus with a lively atmosphere, with opportunities to get involved in sport, no matter your skill level. Also has an abundance of study areas, some of which are open 24/7. Various clubs and societies available, albeit with membership fees for most. My only complaint is that the WiFi has been crashing more frequently as of late, though I suspect that has to do with the increase in students using it. A great university overall.

I have really enjoyed my time a Loughborough University. There are loads of different sports and societies to get involved with and the campus facilities are amazing.
I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Loughborough university. my course is fantastic and perfectly challenging; it has shown me around my subject area so much already and I am only in the first year of product design. i completed a foundation year last year to get onto product design and technology BSc and it has prepared me well to deal with the workload at university and adapting to new ways of learning. The teaching staff are very interested in what they do so can talk to you for hours about a subject area you are interested in

There is a real community feel on campus at this university, facilities are usually good but eduroam does crash from time to time. Great student union for nights out though and relatively cheap cost of living.

In my first year, and enjoying my time so much so far- love the community feel here, all the students and staff are so kind, and staff in particular really care about wanting me to succeed and are always here to help. A big part of my journey so far has been tennis- the tennis centre facilities are so incredible and have loved playing for dev team. Gym facilities are also state of the art. There are also so many events going on every single day here it never gets boring. Come to luffs or ten years bad luck!!!

The wifi is sometimes unreliable and can cause problems for students trying to study. I really enjoy the SU but more could be done in terms of committee perks for societies that aren't AU or sport related.

Eduroam wifi sort it out. Otherwise, this is the best campus university I have visited only because it is so spacious and there is so much going on always. Like from watching people doing matches to events like puppy petting and fun fair stalls where the community and locals actually come join onto campus. Security is also really good, the lboro uni staffs also work within the community (outside campus) 24/7 so I feel safe even walking alone after nights out and from the train station. Good community outside campus too - a lot of students and meet locals.

i am a second year student at Lboro and have lived in halls in my first year and they create a fantastic environment from move in day and supporting you during your studies. there are a wide range of sports and societies to get involved with no matter your level or interests.
My time at Loughborough has been the most amazing experience! Throughout my 4 years here I have met some brilliant people, and received excellent support throughout my studies and placement. I cannot recommend this university enough. It truly has become home.

Its been a really good three years! Everyone is super friendly and all the campus services are very useful and supportive. Its a different experience to a city university but its so nice having everything so close together
