The most supportive, friendly and student focused environment. Engaging lectures, inspiring students and insane opportunities. I really can’t fault lboro’s handling of the pandemic - refunded all accommodation fees for students that wanted to stay home, provided as many in person lectures as they possibly could, provided freshly cooked meals and a laundry service for isolating students. By far the only university that is worth the £9k tuition fees!
This year has been hard with all the restrictions, but it shouldn't take away from how students in Halls were treated. Imho, it was closer to younger years at a boarding school than an adult renting a room and studying their degree with the amount of restrictions at halls.
Great experience, amazing campus and even better people!
Life changing experience both personally and academically. Wish I could stay there for longer!

Bar covid, It’s been great so far. The one phrase I would use is “bubbled community”
I couldn't recommend Loughborough University more, it was my dream uni and it hasn't disappointed. Halls are brilliant, the community in each hall is amazing, you really do become a little family. I stayed in halls for 2 years, which was such a great decision but the choices in town are also great! The student support has been brilliant and the university have been so accommodating with my personal circumstances! I was apprehensive coming to Loughborough as im not massively into sports, but love watching them, but I haven't found that an issue at all! My lifestyle is sport for complete beginners and is completely free! Honestly couldn't recommend more! Great course, great people, great university!
Think they’ve handled covid really well and can’t wait to complete next year with no restrictions so I can experience the full Loughborough Union experience

Lovely family feel of community on campus. Opportunities for every type of student. A very open and encouraging environment for learning and self development. Top Tip: Make sure to choose your accommodation ASAP, self-catered ensuite is the most popular and can go within minutes!
Best decision I made coming to Loughborough. It really is a home away from home
Loughborough university is dedicated to making the student experience perfect for everybody and this can be seen.
The facilities available to students on campus create a great interactive learning environment, even with social distancing the university was able to provide good practical experiences when possible.
The sports clubs, sports facilities and the STEM lab are the best thing about the university. They offer you so many opportunities to try out new sports and join clubs. It’s great.
Good facilities and the students are friendly… however there is a lack of support and care for students who are struggling due to the time that we live in.

Loughborough creates the perfect balance between work and rest. It allows for you to not only get a good degree at a top10 university but also explore and develop extra-curriculars which are just as important as the degree.
Loved it my first 2 years (2017-2019) then during COVID during 2020-2021 year, absolutely awful, given less academic help because “we should be used to it by now”, I’d been on placement so struggled and also just because it wasn’t such a shock didn’t mean it was normal. Mental health services backed up for months

Loughborough has been a great university. The lecturers are great and I’ve found a diverse community that makes me feel included.
The uni was able to maintain sport where possible which was amazing for helping me stay active
A really vibrant and welcoming community especially halls, societies and sports teams. Excellent sport facilities and I have very much enjoyed my time here so far. Made great friends for life.
As someone who isn’t much of a party goer or drinker or late night owl- I was surprised to find that I could still have so much fun with people just like me. A diverse and colourful institution.
Amazing sports facilities and opportunities, allowing for you to meet loads of new people. Hall events frequently happening means you and your flat can interact with other halls as well. The union has great clubbing. Beautiful campus and all around facilities too
An amazing uni all round. Great culture in halls and across campus as a whole. Even in the difficult circumstances of COVID, the uni put on events and clubs where possible making me feel like I still received a great uni experience. The uni were easy to contact when support was needed on liaison issues I had making me feel safe and comfortable in the environment. Loughborough kept some in person teaching when other universities simply gave up, which helped give me a sense of belonging to the uni despite the circumstances. Best choice I have ever made was choosing Loughborough university.
My first year at Loughborough was good. I was happy to meet new people through clubs, accommodation and my course. Hopefully next year there will be even more opportunities to get out and properly experience student life, but Loughborough really put a lot of effort in to support their students through Covid-19 challenges.

Loughborough is an outstanding university so glad I choose to come here, the facilities are amazing and the lecturers are professional and want you to do well
The university gives such a campus feel, and I’m glad I chose to go here instead of a more city-based university, as I don’t feel like I would’ve had the same experience.
Pretty fun, but COVID was pretty difficult since i had to spend most of my time away from campus since my lectures were online. Hopefully we will be able to take full advantage of campus facilities and the student union once universities resume.

Great campus facilities - not too far away everything is in walking distance Only a few clubs but they’re great, also close to other cities with clubs Union is 10/10 Wifi is great however had issue where it would cut out for a minute a few times a week

Hard to say on most aspects of uni this year due to covid but have enjoyed what I can
Great university to go to, the campus is amazing with state of the art facilities, and has some of the highest rating student satisfaction scores in the country. Alongside this the students Union is great for a night out with 3 different built in clubs, a pub and restaurants and shops for the day. Course wise, I do industrial design and the staff are great and are specialists in the subject area, with all of them having spent time in industry. Each department building also has high quality equipment tailored to helping you on your course.
A decent year overall, especially given the circumstances with Covid.

Inter Hall sports creates a great competitive atmosphere at the University and provides students with lots of opportunity to socialize as players and supporters!

From the beginning of my studies at Loughborough University, I have felt welcomed and supported in the new environment even with the rapidly changing covid situation.
Very good social surroundings with incredible facilities. Different from any other UK University because of the size of the campus and the amount of green.
It is a very rare experience to come to Loughborough University to study during the epidemic. Thank you very much for the proper arrangement of the school during the epidemic. Compared with many universities that cancel offline courses, Loughborough University allows me to arrange experiments well. This Makes me very happy
My university experience has been great. The facilities have been great and the opportunities have been great also despite covid limiting what could be run.

The Loughborough University is good for courses but the free sport activities (extra curriculum) isn’t enough.
Excellent first year, good halls and facilities
The facilities here are amazing and the lecturers are of top most quality. However, for a new subject like mine, there could be much better planning for the delivery of the program.
Life at Lufs is unlike anything else and I've absolutely loved every moment of the time I've had here, from the course itself, to the socials and sporting opportunities throughout the year. Despite Covid, Lboro sure knows how to hold its own and that's the best bit, because even as an international student a thousand miles away from home, you know you're not alone in a pandemic: because we've got the Lufbra Family :)
The campus facilities are incredible and being able to use them at IMS level is brilliant.
Great university with amazing facilities. Had such a good first year here and would recommend it to anyone. The Loughborough community is amazing from the social life to the academic and everything in between.
Got given a bad accommodation even though I got the grades to choose top 3 what accommodation I wanted. Some catering staff nice some were rude. Queues always long during peak times would have been quicker to make meals myself. Internet great and fast. Careers service good if you take action yourself.
I love Loughborough University so much. The little things they do to make the experience above and beyond are incredible. They’ve helped me loan a laptop when broken during exam season! Honestly, the only reason i’m not looking forward to graduating is knowing I’m going to leave Loughborough
I had a great experience overall, as a international student I received a lot of help with anything I needed. The facilities and support are excellent! Really appreciate the staff work and help they offered!
Generally a very friendly and safe feeling campus. Everything is walking distance, easily accessible and mapped well. Though the students Union isn't my first port of call usually, nights out when all 3 rooms were open and accessible for FND and hey EWE were incredible and incomparable to elsewhere.
It was an amazing choice to go to this uni.
Loughborough University has felt very homely and has felt like a true community or family that I have been proud to be a part of.
The experience on campus as a first year is amazing. The facilities are amazing, such as the library and especially Papa Si’s which is a great way to finish a night out.
A very friendly and supportive environment which helps to include people from all backgrounds all whilst giving a very good standard of education. However, COVID has really affected Lboro Uni's performance in their teaching as it seems that there has been a lack of communication in regards to students preference with the style of teaching that is being shown.

The university is very responsive to student enquiries and demands. There is a strong variety in the societies offered and the campus facilities allow for students to study and exercise in well equipped buildings.
Despite the limitations placed upon by Covid the students union and university staff gave an experience that we can make the most of the year and experience as much as freshers as possible. They also made sure we were taken care of during the pandemic in situations where we bad to isolate as well as prioritising safety with restrictions.
I enjoyed my 1st year experience- it was fun, allowed me to develop as a person and when we had to self isolate my flat and I were well taken care of
Beautiful campus with wide ranging facilities. Lots of clubs and societies available to get involved in with the option to start your own! Wi-Fi on campus can be slightly slow at times.
Loughborough has a great atmosphere that encourages academic excellence while the facilities provide a wide variety of resources.
My first year at Loughborough was great. Although Covid made it less enjoyable, the uni itself is very good. Campus facilities are amazing (especially if you enjoy sports or staying in the library for hours). Hopefully next year the students union will be in full swing and the freshers can experience the “best students union in the country” as my year wasn’t able to.

Have done 4 year MChem, and started a PhD here. All in all a great experience.
Overall, positive experience at Loughborough! Thought freshers worked well and helped make friends. The Union works well in the day and for nights out. The careers service are accommodating and very friendly so approachable
I personally love Loughborough and am so glad I chose it! I am also so lucky I chose my hall because I’ve met some of my best friends and have loved all my flatmates, committee and anyone else I’ve met! I’m a very sporty person so I’ve also loved taking part in hall sport and uni wide sport as well!
Great Facilities & Passionate lecturers
Overall a great experience with lots of opportunities available, especially the wide range of societies. Career based modules and guidance is also very helpful, such as CV reviews and mock assessment centres.
Loughborough has so many amazing opportunities that’s I’ve been grateful to be a part of! I’d definitely recommend it to any new students

Very spacious campus with excellent learning opportunities in the Wolfson School, they have handled the pandemic very well compared to other schools/university and have given us as (relatively) many in-person sessions given the pandemic.
Unfortunately, I can't say I've had the full university experience yet because I'm a first year and the pandemic has changed things. But even so, the university has been really helpful in assisting us through these difficult times and ensuring our wellbeing and health are the priority, and there is a community feel at Loughborough. Overall, I've had a decent experience so far. Hopefully next year things will go (almost) back to normal so I can live the proper university experience.
I really hope you can too, we will certainly try our best to make this happen for all of our students.
