All great, a range of societies and career support
Sports facilities could be helped more in smaller sports, otherwise great facilities
A huge university and a thousand chances to meet people with all the tastes in differents AU, clubs or even halls! The infrastructures are sublime and well kept.
Campus is beautiful. Lots of open space. Plenty of societies for everyone to join, including loads of sports groups to join.
Like I've mentioned it is a fantastic place to live with many merits you guys will enjoy throughout the whole semester! Don't hesitate! Just come to Bakewell!
WiFi can sometimes be a bit iffy but majority of time is good connection, SU is very good and the facilities on campus are excellent
Facilities are amazing and next to none
unbelievable facilities for anyone remotely interested in any sport (all abilities welcome), campus has free bus service for all students
Everything is amazing in this University especially its sporting facilities which is great for me as an athlete. However, the wifi connection is quite poor in many areas of the campus, including some of my lecture halls where we could not connect at all.
Such a nice place to study at, very friendly staff and students
Cayley Hall offers a great overall experience with excellent location, cleanliness, and well-maintained social spaces. The property management team is responsive, and the value for money is good. However, the catered food options, especially for vegetarians, are limited, and the food quality is sometimes undercooked or below expectations. While social spaces are lively, the overall social experience can feel average. Internet/Wi-Fi is decent for studying, though not exceptional. 📍 Overall: Clean, safe, and convenient — but food and vegetarian variety need serious improvement. You should also check Google reviews for more real experiences.
I have found the campus easy to navigate and all the facilities very well equipped.
WiFi is on and off, does not connect a lot of the time resulting in issues working in lectures
Incredible facilities, there is something for everyone here. Good community feel and incredibly welcoming to freshers
Great campus with plenty to do, wifi can be a bit iffy at times but no other complaints
Wifi around campus needs to be better. Campus is nice and is able to enjoy the sports around. Would like the facilities to be cheaper to be able to participate more.
Wide range of activties but AU clubs are extremely competitive
The Wi-Fi is very patchy, even whilst writing this I am having to use data because the Wi-Fi is not working.
Beautiful campus with so many spaces for studying and socialising. The Student Union is a great space with so many fun events!
Wifi this week has been very poor
Its lovely being here on campus!
Best sports facilities in Europe, very hard to join any AU teams due to elitism
Almost everything I have experienced since arriving here has been nothing short of excellent, I absolutely love the university. However, the wifi has not worked for me at all, I have had to use my data hotspot to connect to WiFi for all lectures so far, my data has now run out and I have no internet access without data hotspot. The WiFi situation has been atrocious thus far.
Thwle WiFi is temperamental. It's hard to get WiFi in the lectures so I have to use my hotspot most of the time for my lectures
Internet doesn't work whenever I'm in a lecture hall, which could be a major problem if my notes weren't offline
Didnt expect to go to Loughborough and im so glad that I got in! Its the perfect place to meet people, lots of activities all the time, the SU nightlife is great fun and the campus is fascinating!!
Great university facilities. Management and accessibility is difficult. Great campus university. Town is very quite. Very much student led town
Just fix the WiFi and it’s a top uni

Haven't really explored the entire campus yet, will do in the future though.
Wi-fi is on and off - mostly off
The internet is very u reliable and frequently crashes. Often I am unable to use it in my accom or event around campus. This also affects the printers which means I can’t use them which is a big issue especially as an art student
All perfect except the WiFi which can be a bit on and off
The university is very supportive in competing in sports alongside studying.
Cannot really talk much on the careers service as i am first year and yet to use it because it is only my second week.
Of all of the above categories the wifi is the only one that is below par. The wifi is consistently down. Careers I haven't interacted with yet so I'll just say 3/5 on that.
Really easy to make friends and staff + course are very enjoyable
A brilliant uni however wifi is very poor and unreliable
Lots of sports activities to do on campus, WiFi is very poor though
Brilliant campus, with excellent sports and academic facilities
Can't fault the facilities as they're world class. The variety with societies is great too.
Experience has been good so far, lots of friendly students and staff members. Campus is nice and very walkable.
Have problems when connecting to WiFi after moving locations, clubs and societies are inclusive and there's alot to choose from. Facilities are readily available for booking and easy access.
Excellent university with many facilities to use and activities to take part in. Nightclub events are the best!
Very nice university with an amazing campus and facilities
Overall an amazing university and wouldn't want to be anywhere else !
WiFi was very bad at the beginning, but it is becoming better now.
never been happier to choose Loughborough university!
Wifi this year has been very poor. All together good experience of my course and sport
Good overall. Nice campus with lo tra going on.
I love it here. The campus is my favourite part.
I really enjoy being at Loughborough University and there isn't much to really complain about.
It's OK, the Internet is very annoying, however amd can make it difficult to study. Im also a little bit disappointed in the selection of societies available, especially to do with running, with the only run club being at the crack of dawn with people fresh out of the marines, where can I go for a slower, more casual run?
Alot of services for all needs
The campus is very nice and spacious, the disc golf course is great to have on the weekends when I’m free, supermarkets relatively close by, cool buildings
WIFI is temperamental, it works well when connected, but especially in lectures it disconnects Student Union nights out are brilliant - and general facilities are top notch Facilities in general are second to none - so glad to be studying here
an amazing campus which has provided me with so so many opportunities
Very good uni with state of the art sport facilities. Careers service is helpful not not pushed enough in my opinion, potentially leading to students not understanding different opportunities avaliable to them. Such as the benefits of spring weeks and summer internships.
decent uni lots of sports facilities etc...
Facilities in the common room need more care.
Lovely uni, best accommodation in the world, can’t complain
everything so far has been great, good facilities like the gym and always something to do. Wi-Fi sometimes drops out but will restart quite fast and is understandable with how many students are on it
It is really the best uni for sports
WiFi connection is extremely unreliable
Wifi does not work in lectures
amazing uni, very good quality equipment, with amazing facilities, in arts and especially sport.
Juste a few problems with the wifi.
A wide range of opportunities on offer as well as world-class sports facilities
Very good and memorable experience. Best decision to come to this university
Lovely campus and everyone is always friendly and there's definitely something to get involved in.
Everything is easily accessible on the campus from all halls- no more than a 20min walk
There something for everyone and their interests
Very good university with good facilities but rutherford hall the hall im staying is awful, absolutely awful, compared to other university’s accommodation is just very ran down and old and completely not worth the money.
My experience of clubs and societies so far has been very positive. Everyone is very inviting and welcoming and always inspire you to get involved further. The campus facilities are amazing and give you the best environment to thrive both physically and academically.
Great facilities and it’s close to most places
The su is massive, new and generally the facilities are great including the modern lecture theatres
A very good university with a nice atmosphere. There's plenty to get involved with and a lot of support regarding career aspirations. The teaching it also held to a very high standard.
love the campus, lots of things to do, has everything you need and is super convenient
My experience at this accommodation has been really positive. The place is clean, well maintained, and has all the facilities that make it feel just like home. Its location next to my lecture halls is very convenient, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. I haven’t yet had the chance to explore all the clubs and societies, such as Careers, but the team has provided us with helpful guidance and information to make the most of these opportunities. Overall, I’m very satisfied so far and look forward to getting more involved and sharing an even better review in the future.
Amazing facilities and service from the university but the internet connection can be unreliable
Very expensive for what it is however still good facilities.
the campus is huge and offers a range of study spaces. awesome so far
Although having a big campus can be a pain when it comes to navigating everything, it has been a fun challenge, and having wifi everywhere is great. There are so many facilities on the campus that I have seen/used since coming here; a notable mention would be the Coop shop at the SU, which has been a live-saver when I need to grab groceries in the evening when it's not as safe to go to town alone in the dark. Although I haven't joined any sports clubs, I have had a great experience with the gyms, specifically Power-base. Genuinely blew me away, and I say that with confidence after having gone 4 times this past week. There are many societies available, and I have many that I want to join, but I did have some qualms about how many of the welcome socials were centred around drinking, as I myself don't drink. But I have met many wonderful new people in other settings! I haven't trialled the careers services yet, but I have interest in a few events coming soon. Overall, pretty great so far!
Everything perfect, sometimes WiFi doesn’t work and data connection here is quite weak so have had some troubles while trying to make notes in lectures
The wifi is unreliable. If we don't have data it's complicated
All in all it is very good I am very happy with the campus
Everything’s fine, wifi sometimes doesn’t work which makes me a bit sad
Most facilities are good for education
Lots of facilities and activities to do year round. Wifi is pretty hit or miss around campus so that could be improved. Most of the important buildings are surrounded by accommodation, so you can choose where you need to be for convenience. I like the Loughborough campus overall, I'm happy to be here.
Very good place, friendly staff teachers and students, beautiful campus
Good more fun then I thought bad WiFi though
A wide range of opportunities on offer with lots of different styles of events to help socially and academically. Provide a welcoming environment. With clear guidance on event times and location
High speed WiFi is great, lots of different societies and sprouts clubs to join, and all the staff are very friendly
Although I've just started what I've seen and experienced has been great and I'm happy with my choice of university!
Very good but sometimes it's is hard to connect to eduroam especially in James France building
patchy wifi, no experience with careers yet
Offers a great range of career support
wifi depends on the lecture theatre but generally good connection across campus
I have had a really good experience overall so far thanks to the both the students, staff and amazing campus.
It has been an amazing experience at the university except the wifi is very spotty and not very reliable.
