The campus and facilities are outstanding and fit for purpose, with a variety of clubs, and great wifi except in a small margin of buildings, but other than that it is a great area to study in with help everywhere on learn and tutors that support you as you move forward closer to your goals.

Overall very good campus, the atmosphere is good and allows everyone to get involved in some of way. So many different types of sports for everyone- different levels depending on ability. Nice union space

Studying at Loughborough University has been an enriching experience for me. However, there can be much administrative/paper works entailed when purchasing reagents for conducting experiments. Also, it took me around 1 week for me to reregister because the registration website was not updated quickly enough. I would like to kindly suggest that paperworks are reduced for the procurement of chemicals and that the university registration website be updated regularly.

We have an online application process and we support students throughout this with our dedicated admissions team.
Good selection of clubs for both sports and hobbies, decent nights out at the union although slightly expensive

The social scene is incredible, with clubs and societies offering endless opportunities to meet new people. The common areas are always buzzing, and the events keep things exciting. But it's not all fun and games – the Wi-Fi is super reliable, perfect for crushing assignments in the comfy study spaces. Plus, the on-site laundry facilities are a lifesaver. Overall, it feels more like a supportive community than just a dorm – highly recommend!
Great facilities,gym can be very busy though,so avoid going after 4pm.

Good campus but there is only one or two clubs

Great uni environment however there is an abundant lack of activities/trips etc for those who want to take part in sober or non sport-related events.

Being a sports science study, at Loughborough the sporting facilities are top drawer and provides me access to some unbelievable technology in my laboratory lessons. There is a wide range of relevant clubs however I feel that there could be some more that fit more of a niche group. Hard to fault to students union, there are active, friendly and are always putting events on. The careers service is brilliant, offering regular oppourtinities to boost your CV, employability and interview skills. Also, you can book individual slots where they can help with a range of career skills. WiFi across the campus is always strong and I can’t remember ever being disconnected.

I absolutely love the campus and cannot imagine myself at any other university. With all the sport going on all the time, it really gives off an American campus vibe which I love! Everyone is lovely and there are many green areas to enjoy all over campus!

Amazing experience but as a Master of engineering student you won't find much time to participate in activities since it is an intense study programme.

Wide range of societies and sports clubs to join so there is always something to do, and plenty of cheap/free options. Lots of study spaces and free rooms that you can go in to revise and do work, although sometimes the wifi can be slow.

Loughborough University has been an amazing place to study. The range of resources is fantastic, and the professors are super knowledgeable and really approachable. The facilities are top-notch, with awesome libraries, high-tech labs, and incredible sports facilities. Campus life is vibrant, with a vast range of student clubs, events, and activities that make it easy to make friends and feel part of the community. The career support is excellent, offering great internships, skills workshops and networking opportunities that really help with future job prospects. The town itself is also friendly and welcoming, with everything you need just a short walk away. Overall, Loughborough is an awesome place to grow academically and personally!
Loughborough University is a vast campus with many departments and sports facilities all in 520 acres of land. The campus promotes inclusivity and diversity among students and offer great support to international students as well. There are lots of clubs and societies to join and make new connections and socialise. This is a great way to spend your time outside academics. The university also offers sports at different levels and caters to all abilities which I think is a great way to get everyone involved. The Student's Union has a good range of shops from subway to spar. Upstairs in LSU is the Student Hub where the executive officers, CVA office, Societies, Action and RAG offices are, you can go there if you have any queries related to those areas. They are quite helpful and very friendly. So far, my experience at Loughborough University has been great and I'm loving it here! Loughborough University is my chosen family!

Need more study spaces, the library does not have enough seats
Hey thank you for leaving feedback. The Library has just over 1,300 spaces available for study and you can book your space online too. As well as the Library, the University campus also has a variety of smaller study spaces available for use, with PCs and printing facilities in some of these. Hope you find this information helpful.

A spacious campus with a great community feel. Can feel abit isolated from the town centre but activities for volunteering in the community and the easy connection bus make it easier to get into town and get involved in the local community. Great sports facilities for all abilities and good support networks for all students.

Great uni, tons of spirt opportunities and a wide range of societies. The gyms are also amazing. Some of the sports teams however don't have a dev squad, meaning you can't be a part of the team unless you're already good at the sport. Lots of events on at the uni. Decent campus club as well. WiFi works in the majority of places.

There are a wide range of sports and societies available at the university, all of which are very welcoming and encouraging at the bazaars at the start of the year. Careers services depend on your school, some seem to be more helpful than others.

The campus is really one of the big highlights of the university, as a woman I was worried before coming to university that I may feel unsafe walking around campus alone, especially after a night out, however I have not once felt unsafe due to the familiar feeling grounds and knowledge of how many people there are around designated to our safety.

Loughborough town is also pretty safe although we always advise people to take the usual precautions when out and about.

Living in loughborough has been great, it has some lovely scenery and is great if you are into sports. Lots of good social activities in the students union. Only thing is the Spar is quite expensive for a student budget.

The Spar is great for convenience purchases and there are large chain supermarkets within walking distance of the main campus, if you'd like more choice and value.

(For anyone thinking of studying here: Loughbrough University is located in the nearby town of Loughborough where there are many more facilities. Loughborough is in an area called Charnwood in Leicestershire, UK).
Elvyn has been a fantastic place to live to is year. The services and experience has been too class. I’ve felt fully supported here by the committees and warden team that have gone above and beyond to enhance my student experience. I would fully recommend this accommodation to anyone and everyone!

Love it the services are really good
Thank you, Loughborough University is glad to offer lots of facilities including shops, cafes, eateries, bars, dining halls, hotels, two gyms, and a pharmacy, an optician, a dental practice, a hairdresser, launderettes, a taxi rank, and a large nightclub. :-) Our teaching areas and sports facilities are world class too. There's something for everyone and it's all conveniently located on campus.
Really happy with the facilties, it cna be a bit difficult with calling and walking around as it can get a bit choppy but otherwise its pretty good

If a sportsperson, most societies don’t fit into those times left free so not able to join many

It can be challenging to balance being a dediciated sportsperson, with timetables and independent study, with all the things we have going on here, but there are many facilities on offer on campus to help students make friends and enjoy student life to the full. The Holt accommodation at this UK university provides a decent living space for students. While the rooms are adequate and the amenities functional, there's room for improvement in terms of modernization and community engagement. Overall, it serves its purpose as a standard option for student housing, but falls short of being remarkable.
