Overall an amazing university and wouldn't want to be anywhere else !
WiFi was very bad at the beginning, but it is becoming better now.
never been happier to choose Loughborough university!
Wifi this year has been very poor. All together good experience of my course and sport
Good overall. Nice campus with lo tra going on.
I love it here. The campus is my favourite part.
I really enjoy being at Loughborough University and there isn't much to really complain about.
It's OK, the Internet is very annoying, however amd can make it difficult to study. Im also a little bit disappointed in the selection of societies available, especially to do with running, with the only run club being at the crack of dawn with people fresh out of the marines, where can I go for a slower, more casual run?
Alot of services for all needs
The campus is very nice and spacious, the disc golf course is great to have on the weekends when I’m free, supermarkets relatively close by, cool buildings
WIFI is temperamental, it works well when connected, but especially in lectures it disconnects Student Union nights out are brilliant - and general facilities are top notch Facilities in general are second to none - so glad to be studying here
an amazing campus which has provided me with so so many opportunities
Very good uni with state of the art sport facilities. Careers service is helpful not not pushed enough in my opinion, potentially leading to students not understanding different opportunities avaliable to them. Such as the benefits of spring weeks and summer internships.
decent uni lots of sports facilities etc...
Facilities in the common room need more care.
Lovely uni, best accommodation in the world, can’t complain
everything so far has been great, good facilities like the gym and always something to do. Wi-Fi sometimes drops out but will restart quite fast and is understandable with how many students are on it
It is really the best uni for sports
WiFi connection is extremely unreliable
Wifi does not work in lectures
amazing uni, very good quality equipment, with amazing facilities, in arts and especially sport.
Juste a few problems with the wifi.
A wide range of opportunities on offer as well as world-class sports facilities
Very good and memorable experience. Best decision to come to this university
Lovely campus and everyone is always friendly and there's definitely something to get involved in.
Everything is easily accessible on the campus from all halls- no more than a 20min walk
There something for everyone and their interests
Very good university with good facilities but rutherford hall the hall im staying is awful, absolutely awful, compared to other university’s accommodation is just very ran down and old and completely not worth the money.
My experience of clubs and societies so far has been very positive. Everyone is very inviting and welcoming and always inspire you to get involved further. The campus facilities are amazing and give you the best environment to thrive both physically and academically.
Great facilities and it’s close to most places
The su is massive, new and generally the facilities are great including the modern lecture theatres
A very good university with a nice atmosphere. There's plenty to get involved with and a lot of support regarding career aspirations. The teaching it also held to a very high standard.
love the campus, lots of things to do, has everything you need and is super convenient
My experience at this accommodation has been really positive. The place is clean, well maintained, and has all the facilities that make it feel just like home. Its location next to my lecture halls is very convenient, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. I haven’t yet had the chance to explore all the clubs and societies, such as Careers, but the team has provided us with helpful guidance and information to make the most of these opportunities. Overall, I’m very satisfied so far and look forward to getting more involved and sharing an even better review in the future.
Amazing facilities and service from the university but the internet connection can be unreliable
Very expensive for what it is however still good facilities.
the campus is huge and offers a range of study spaces. awesome so far
Although having a big campus can be a pain when it comes to navigating everything, it has been a fun challenge, and having wifi everywhere is great. There are so many facilities on the campus that I have seen/used since coming here; a notable mention would be the Coop shop at the SU, which has been a live-saver when I need to grab groceries in the evening when it's not as safe to go to town alone in the dark. Although I haven't joined any sports clubs, I have had a great experience with the gyms, specifically Power-base. Genuinely blew me away, and I say that with confidence after having gone 4 times this past week. There are many societies available, and I have many that I want to join, but I did have some qualms about how many of the welcome socials were centred around drinking, as I myself don't drink. But I have met many wonderful new people in other settings! I haven't trialled the careers services yet, but I have interest in a few events coming soon. Overall, pretty great so far!
Everything perfect, sometimes WiFi doesn’t work and data connection here is quite weak so have had some troubles while trying to make notes in lectures
The wifi is unreliable. If we don't have data it's complicated
All in all it is very good I am very happy with the campus
Everything’s fine, wifi sometimes doesn’t work which makes me a bit sad
Most facilities are good for education
Lots of facilities and activities to do year round. Wifi is pretty hit or miss around campus so that could be improved. Most of the important buildings are surrounded by accommodation, so you can choose where you need to be for convenience. I like the Loughborough campus overall, I'm happy to be here.
Very good place, friendly staff teachers and students, beautiful campus
Good more fun then I thought bad WiFi though
A wide range of opportunities on offer with lots of different styles of events to help socially and academically. Provide a welcoming environment. With clear guidance on event times and location
High speed WiFi is great, lots of different societies and sprouts clubs to join, and all the staff are very friendly
Although I've just started what I've seen and experienced has been great and I'm happy with my choice of university!
Very good but sometimes it's is hard to connect to eduroam especially in James France building
patchy wifi, no experience with careers yet
Offers a great range of career support
wifi depends on the lecture theatre but generally good connection across campus
I have had a really good experience overall so far thanks to the both the students, staff and amazing campus.
It has been an amazing experience at the university except the wifi is very spotty and not very reliable.
Great uni to be a part of if there is a course you are interested in. They offer a large selection of engineering courses though from my experience there is a lot of overlap between them. Students are generally friendly and there are many societies to be a part of beyond just sports (what Loughborough is generally known for) so there's lots to get involved with. Though societies vary a bit with how they are run so have very different vibes. WiFi can get annoying as it is quite unreliable and as internet is required to sign into lectures, having mobile data is a necessity. The uni is a large campus which avoids the bustling city vibe which could be intimidating for many students at other universities.
The library not being open at the weekends is annoying but other than that it’s a brilliant campus. The university provides a free shuttle bus every ten minutes on weekdays to ferry students around the campus.
Great campus, lots of grounds, internet so far has been terrible though.
Campus is really pretty and there is basically anything you could need! Would be nice to have cheaper shops than Co-op though. WiFi is a bit patchy and I’ve had days where it has hardly worked all day, it’s very fast when it does work though!
I continue to meet good people and it was easy to settle in with the great support
So far this academic year my accommodation has been reasonably comfortable with issues that are raised being solved in considerable time
There is a huge amount of opportunities to get involved within the university community.
I have joined the athletics Union great group to train with and hoping to compete with them in up coming competitions
Best uni in uk for sports facilities countless clubs and societies opportunities , great careers advice and a very good student union . Would prefer the SU be a bit bigger but really can’t complain much about it and the WiFi can be temperamental at times but still fast when working.
Great campus and clean halls. Would definitely recommend
Wifi is not good in certain locations. The facilities are great. There are a lot of good clubs and societies to choose from.
Everything is great but the WiFi sucks!!!!
Amazing, social, university with great career support
Great facilities and supportt but slight issues with the wifi which i assume will only be for the first couple weeks
loughborough is fun, lots of action on campus
Lots of creative people and events hosted in this area. Bought the freshers pass so I am constantly engaged.
Everything is perfect minus the wifi. Some busy days in term it can cut out in lecture and cause difficulties.
An amazing university. Excels in almost everything. Well connected with employers and lots of extracurricular activities to enjoy. Proactive and engaging lecturers and lecture material. Coming here will build great habits for life.
Its a great campus environment, with everything here. They put a lot of effort into the student experience.
Lovely University great interhall competition
Campus is lovely but WiFi barely works
Amazing university, strong sense of support and community
Wifi is quite inconsistent around campus. Facilities are very good at the gym. Wide range of societies to choose from.
Wi-Fi connection is on and off around campus
Its all good so far im enjoying it here
Wi-Fi isn’t great, but there are a wide range of clubs
Been very good so far. Lots of societies to join
I love the university and it has definitely become my home. The support is fantastic and I have truly met friends for life. I love my course and have definitely made the most of the extra curricular actives available.
Very engaging community! lots of greenery!
Everything is perfect at the university, its all I have ever wanted at my dream university.
Really great campus with a nice vibe, every time you leave your accommodation you bump into someone you know which is awesome
Loughborough is a really lively and resourceful place to be, the facilities and support are great and I've always felt very comfortable.
A great university to get involved with sports.
Great student experience. The sport is amazing and the academics are great
very nice uni, very nice university and very social
Amazing place Best choice I ever made
Good experience. Good quality of education. Good experience as an international student.
For my course specifically, the professors as well as part of the student body are really involved in making sure everyone is enjoying their time as well as learning effectively.
Great experience, friendly staff especially Rick and Kedeza. Best place for students in Loughborough.
The best uni in uk. The course is really curated by industry standards
FC is a really nice place—safe and convenient. The management is especially responsible, always replying to emails promptly and helping us resolve issues quickly. The kitchen is cleaned regularly, and there are plenty of recreational facilities like a swimming pool and billiards. Overall, I highly recommend staying at FC.
i love loughborough, it’s a great uni and place to live!
The university is great and provides alot of benefits!
Union good for nights out and studying during the day. Lots of things to get involved with — volunteering, fundraising, sports, societies, media. Lovely campus and small town. Not the best for nightlife but Nottingham and Leicester only 10 minute train and can get one in the morning if you stay up late ! Also some students walked back from Leicester and it only took 5 hours ! Really enjoyed my uni experience here
Overall the WiFi is pretty good but sometimes eduroam just decides it doesn’t want to work for an hour or so. Campus is amazing it’s so nice to walk around and there’s loads of facilities you can use whenever you like especially sport wise especially the gym. Careers have been great in helping me develop my CV for when I apply for my placement. The SU is the best place to be on a Wednesday night, love a good Wednesday night out (hey ewe). Also the SU has things open in the day like the pub and a bigger co op and other little coffee shop type things, societies I can’t say I’ve really been involved in but for clubs I’m in a few different sport clubs and they’re all well organised and loads of fun socially and competitively, there’s also loads of less competitive sports if you’re not that serious about competing
