I stayed here for my first year at uni and have already booked again for second year. The rooms are big and spacious but some rooms in each flat are bigger than others. Any issues we had were reported and fixed quickly. The only downside with repairs is that due to the location of our main door there is an airlock so it won’t close naturally we have to make sure that it is shut when we leave or come back into the flat. The laundry is paid for in cash and is a lot cheaper than other accommodations. When we moved in everything was clean and the flat was freshly painted, the only downside we had was that we had no oven shelves so had to wait for 5 days for them to be delivered. The staff are so lovely and helpful especially sean and one of the guys who’s on at night. He always makes sure me and my friends are okay and feeling safe when going out at night. My favourite parts about the rooms are the size of the wardrobe and amount of storage the room has as my room has a 3 door wardrobe.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I’ve had an amazing stay at Hardman house though the wifi is quite bad, I’m not sure if it’s to do with where the room is but I’ve had to use my data a lot as the wifi is unreliable.
Stayed here for two years wouldn’t go anywhere else perfect location and great staff
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were lovely as well as security. Friendly and warm atmosphere and location could not get better.
Stayed 2024-25, good location and rooms are decent sizes and in good condition, and building regulary cleaned Few issues with the ammenities though; internet is often very poor for a few days but can be alright most days, 2 lifts for the building which regularly break down, but do get fixed within a few hours (then breaks down again in a day), 6 washing machines and 6 tumble dryers for the whole building is a bit poor, considering they have a lot of empty space for more, and they only take cash (coins) which is a big pain and reception offers no coin exchange, have to find them yourself, maintenance is poor - rooms had no issues but shared kitchen, on arrival, had: broken heater, broken toaster, broken feezer shelves. Not the end of the world but these were reported a couple of times and they dismissed the issues every time, we just wanted a toaster at least. apart from these issues everything else was fine, just doesn’t feel like the best value for money because of them.
Very very good acom for money. The acom is in a very good location close to everything and the reception are very welcoming.
Great place to stay for university living. The location is perfect, the rooms are lovely and services are great!
Overall stay was perfect, couldn’t have asked for anything more as student accommodation goes. However, an investment of a pool table in the lobby area would be great as there isn’t much activity going on compared to other student accommodation around the area.
The worst accommodation possible. The internet is the worst possible choice, it is so overcomplicated and so inanely slow and never actually works. As someone who does online tutoring work to make some money, this is insanely frustrating and I often max out my data each month. When i first arrived at my apartment, it was a mess I found mouldy food lying around, cigarette butts, my toilet is still stained with fake tan from the previous tenant. After complaining countless times, nobody ever came to fix any of the issues. The kitchen was just as bad and a complete and utter tip, freezer and fridge still stocked from the year before. Everything is the lowest quality IKEA equipment possible, the tables are made of wood, the sofas are incredibly uncomfortable and bad quality, parts of my walls are peeling off and brick dust gets on my headboard. The glass and blinds in the bedroom are just as bad, I am misfortunate enough to overlook the high street and it is the worst thing ever.
