Gorgeous campus, some building a bit dated.
Newcastle University provides best facilities and as many resources as required by the students for the better completion of their course. And they organize many events and keep the environment active throughout all the time. You got many opportunities to explore in respect to your particular course and socially too..
Honestly haven’t encountered any major issues yet, but it’s barely been 3 weeks. Societies have all been great though!
The only negatives are the wifi
As an international student at Newcastle University, my experience has been outstanding. The academic programs are well-structured, and the professors are both approachable and knowledgeable. The university offers excellent support for international students, from visa assistance to orientation events, making the transition smooth. The campus is centrally located and equipped with modern facilities. Newcastle itself is a vibrant, student-friendly city with an affordable cost of living and a welcoming atmosphere. With numerous clubs, societies, and networking opportunities, the university fosters both personal and professional growth. I highly recommend Newcastle University to any international student!
My experience at Newcastle University has been great! I have received lots of support from the neurodivergent team and careers team who have offered great advice and support. The facilities and libraries are great for studying.

most of my experience at the university has been excellent, but the lack of wifi in university buildings and libraries often make me have to go elsewhere to work.

The Shield is the most comfortable place I stayed in throughout my whole life. I’ll never forget it, I’ll miss The Shield a lot and if I were still a student, I would have definitely rebooked with The Shield. Thank you for accommodating me during my two years of being a student in Newcastle.

An international and welcoming university, where everyone is ready to help and there are excellent on-campus facilities for both study and leisure.
Overall I’ve loved my time at uni, law building has everything a student needs. Only things I would say is that the computers are a bit slow and the level of feedback from teachers varies form okay to poor.

newcastle as a city is fantastic, the place has heart and personality in buckets which makes it worth studying at anyway. my computer science school experience has been lacking somewhat in how i think its been taught/ presented, but everything that i have needed has been readily available and all the extras like clubs social events are fantastic. big up the cosy dove

The school facilities and activities are very good, but sometimes there is a slight difference in the network. When using the printer, logging in to the account will take a long time.

The university is okay, some of the buildings are quite old and outdated but the staff in my school are lovely and there are several points of support that are easily accessible :)
As an international student, I think the school has given us a lot of support, such as foreign language classes and Chinese own societies. The teachers are very professional and patient!

The apartment facilities are very good, super close to the business school, shopping is also very convenient, the staff is very friendly, especially Michael, he is super friendly and helpful, every time we meet, we always say Hi and it is a pleasure to talk to him. He helped me a lot. When I first came to Newcastle, he kindly instructed me how to use the public facilities in my apartment, such as garbage room, laundry room and common room. Thank you very much!

The Wi-Fi doesn’t work in certain lecture theatres such as David Shaw. I haven’t had much experience with the student union so I scored them fairly low

Good uni, staff care about students
Newcastle University is a place to be. I got here in September and the experience has been worthwhile. The facilities are great and it gives a great opportunity for ‘student-life balance’, if you consider that really a thing :)
I have stayed at Leazes Parade for two years now and will be staying next year too. It is situated very close to the city centre and has on site parking. There are great amenities including free use of the gym, areas to study and chill. The staff are always friendly and helpful, I couldn’t recommend this accommodation any more!
The business school building is well equipped and the staff is very friendly. They regularly organize events to bring students together. The wifi can be improved.
