Excellent accomodation, worth every penny. Friendly and responsible staff who goes above and beyond to satisfy your needs and requests. Fantastic location, close to the train station , shops and restaurants while being in a quiet environment. Amenities on-site includes a newly furnished common room, movie room, study room and a spacious gym with air-conditioning. Both stuido flats and ensuite are amazing, comfortable, clean and offers a great view outside. Some rooms even have two big windows, providing natural sunlight and abundant airflow all time all seasons. Events are held throughout the year, with welcome parties that lets everyone get to know each other, dinner parties, movie nights, cooking events, quiz nights, Lunar New Year events, barbeque parties all making Newcastle 1 the definitive accomodation that welcomes all, regardless of your background, culture to an enjoyable time during your stay. Iwona, Cris, Laurie and Lu are lovely people they helped me so much throughout my stay for 2 years. Definitely recommend great location too.
Every thing isok，and if sometimesthe staff can clean the social place is better
The management team is fab and so is The receptionist team Lu, Iwona, Craig and John always super helpful and happy to help with any queries. It’s been like a home away from home living here. I would stay here for my whole course but the price isn’t great compared to other accommodations

The facilities are fair enough and timly maintenance for usage. human-based management . The location is close to the campus and surrounded by several supermarket and parks, which can be accessible to the close parks.
You cannot find any better accommodation than Newcastle 1! They have excellent free facilities like GYM and studying room, enjoy your 5-minutes life circle in N1! It is quite near to Newcastle business school (5mins walk only) and the city center (15mins walk), traffic system nearby is awesome, 5-10 mins walk to metro and bus station! Facilities in the room are also sufficient. Most importantly, they have courteous employees and service managers, Employees come from different countries or cultural backgrounds, do not worry about communication barriers! Very appreciated their patience, policy transparency, down-to-earth service during COVID, it really makes me fell at home.
On the whole, the staff in the apartment are very enthusiastic, responsible, and capable of dealing with emergencies, which is worthy of recognition.I hope you will pay more attention to it.

The room is quite good and near the railway station. Facilities in the property is excellent and quite clean. Staffs are warm-hearted. It is the best choice I have ever made to live in Newcastle 1.

I’ve lived there for 2 years. I’m sorry to say that household issues take longer than a week to resolve. The managers are not very kind.
I have experienced a good time here. The staffs are really nice. You can find the reception whenever you need. You can have fun in your spare time. There are gym, cinema, study room, and so on. It is a good choice.
1. Staff here came into my room without permission. I’m a girl but two guys came at around 10pm using their keys and without knocking the door. They explained that they ‘don’t remember there’s people live in this room’. Huh??? And the third one came last week in the morning while I was sleeping. Is it legal here?? What’s the problem with the staff here? 2. My bank letter and private things were stolen from the mailbox, and for two months. And this is because they took my mailbox key 3 months ago before I left this place. They suggested me to open the mailbox, and told me it’s ‘safe’ to let it open. Well but I lost everything, not even a Tesco vechour left. I told the security and the manager, but none of them tried to help find the stolen things. 3. I wrote complaint letters to the manager, but what I got reply is that their CCTV system lost the reviews. Not even an apology to me for the illegal breaking-in or stolen stuffs.
A very friendly team and an excellent location! The rooms and amenities are a great value for money and I really appreciate the small gestures that the staff dies to make us all feel at home!

Pros Safe and clean accommodation,perfect location only 5 minutes walk into the centre. Staff really friendly and approachable. 24hr security making it feel safe and secure. Cons Noise of tenants above (if you’re unlucky) ,close to main road but noise isn’t an issue when window is closed. Overall really nice accommodation would definitely recommend.
Student Roost is a great place to live. The staff are friendly and treat everyone well. The downside I have found is you dont get much of an opportunity to meet with your flatmates beforehand and therefore expect some personality clashes. Apart from that its been a decent experience and a good place to live!

Staff are lovely. However, our flat has had a number of issues and some of them have not been dealt with as quickly as we’d like. WiFi is lightning fast when it works but it often cuts out which can be quite annoying and other times it will be on but run very slowly. Drains block fairly often too but that’s sort of par for the course in student accommodation.
I am very sorry you feel your issues have not been dealt with in time, we always aim to complete maintenance issues within a timely manner and priotise the most urgent - if you would like to come and speak to us about the certain issues you are not happy about I would be more than happy to discuss these with you. Good facilities however the location and social side aren’t the best

Great stay! Its a very safe, neat and colourful building! When gaming i do have some trouble with wifi and getting on through LAN seems impossible! still great student accommodation!

Sorry to hear you think we are far away, we are only a 10-15 minute walk from Newcastle University main campus and on a sunny day we think it is a lovely walk! We do have a cycle store if you would prefer to cycle to University which may be a little quicker?
lift is broken, it has not been repaired for one month, and the network is extremely unstable.
We are very sorry about the inconveniance with our lift. It is working but unfortunately their is a fault with buttons on floors 1 and 2 so it can only go to ground, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floor. We are trying to get this fixed as soon as possible.
have been living in here for three years, and I would say I really like this place. The studio facilities are very nice, staffs are always helpful and kind. Will be here next year as well.

The staff at Newcastle 1 have been nothing but lovely to me since I moved in and I can not thank them enough for making my time living here so nice! The accommodation is all you could ask for and more... the rooms are ideal for a student, I have stayed in both the ensuites and studios. My favourite part about Newcastle 1 would be the communal kitchen, great to have fiends over to cook or drink before going out.

I have lived here for the past 2 years and couldn't recommend the accommodation more! Friendly staff willing to do as much as they can for you, a fab gym which saves a fortune on a gym membership and my favourite - the courtyard. If I was carrying on my studies from September I would defo book here again!

Fantastic accommodation ! Myself and my sister has re-booked for next year ! the team is always very helpful, since from day one we felt welcomed and safe. the rooms are fantastic we are staying in a shared flat, the rooms are very spacious and the kitchen is great with loads of space where we are always gathering together to share our experiences. I can really say after the welcome party we made friends for life at Newcastle 1, we have already traveled with each other and visit each others homelands! We have everything that we need at Newcastle 1 without getting out of the accommodation, my favorite space is the dinner room so many events and international food we get to try ! We are also very close to all Universities, I am in Northumbria Uni and my sister is at the Newcastle College lovely walks around the city ! I will always recommend Newcastle 1.

I would highly recommend these rooms to any students thinking of coming to newcastle, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I always felt i could speak to them if i had any issues. The room i stayed in had a refreshing modern design, all the facilities you might need and was also very generously sized. The location of Newcastle 1 is perfect students as your 5 minutes away from central station and the dog and parrot (best bar in newcastle). All in all would definitely recommend.

I have lived here for almost two years now; I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far that I have booked for another year. Newcastle 1 has a constant vibrant and friendly atmosphere. It offers great facilities such as the gym, large common room, car park, study room and my favourite cinema room! Its location is perfect as it is minutes away from Newcastle University and the city centre is practically on your doorstep. During the year, Newcastle 1 hold many events to get involved in which I can assure you are very fun (you won’t be bored) and great socially! Huge credit goes to the property and security team who are welcoming and make sure you are happy by going that extra mile! The maintenance team keep the place is always clean and tidy. They are also very prompt and responsive if anything needs fixing. If you are looking for a friendly and social accommodation with many great facilities in the city centre then Newcastle 1 is perfect for you!

Love the gaming room and study room. It has a great gym and it's 5 minutes away from the business school. If you drive, it has a car park for students too.
