No problems at all with the University.
Great campus facilities and a wide range of clubs and societies to choose from.
Very good uni, but dont stay at the view
Friendly atmosphere, beatiful buildings, huge lecture theaters.
Decent uni with great night life. Could do with more societies and a better student union.
Many opportunities to socialise and learn new skills. Excellent Careers Service and teaching staff!
Pros Enjoying the course and the tutors are really nice. Cons Printers hardly work.wifi is very poor connection.only in 2 days a week with many reading weeks off. Paying 9 grand for 56 days hmmm 🤔
Not the best place to study a degree
I spent a lot of interesting time at my university.
Newcastle Uni really feels like home
So far so good. Campus is in a great location just next to town so there's always something to do in your free time.
In terms of my specific course, it provides exceptional conditions for success within each student, during the university period.
10/10 would recommend to a friend.
I love my school and it will be a good memory
It is a very big school and a lot of the time it feels overwhelming to join societies.
Good WiFi nice place nice sound
Love the uni! It is in a great central location too
I love here because of its educational resources and the building are designed excellent.
Extremely good , student union is great
everything within the university is absolutely perfect
Brilliant university. The campus is really nice and there are loads of societies to choose from.
Newcastle University is a really good uni that maintains its good standards
Good uni. Great socially and goods location near the city.
Newcastle university is a great school with helpful professors. The only downside is some aren’t willing to help outside the classroom
The university is good, it scenic and the buildings are nice (for those i have been in). The facilities for my course are good. The only thing i would complain about it the wifi around campus and when in lectures often it can fail and this means you cannot get the powerpoint up during the lecture.
Newcastle University is very good
I am currently really enjoying my time at Newcastle University.
Such a lovely place to learn, plenty of facilities and a wide range of societies and clubs made it easier to make friends
Uni campus is good and WiFi is strong
I love Newcastle and my university
WiFi could be better and more societies available
Great university, highly recommend architecture facilities.
As involved as you want it to be
My course is really fun and I had a lot of help from the Student union in settling into uni life
Wouldn't think of a better university. Very student-oriented and all is in place so students never feel alone or lost.
Absolutely love everything single thing about this university, I feel grown up yet supported fully.
I love everything about this university.
good here, however wifi could be improved in places
Newcastle is a great university its very clean and the environment is very friendly
WiFi somtimes patchy although generally good. Students Union is helpful and a nice ebcuronmemt
Good uni, nice buildings and friendly staff.
Nice experience studying at NCL uni
Great University and facilities
Excellent uni great campus good ranking
Good university with great location
It is convienice to go to the market or other entertainment locate
All good and everything is great
Final year at Newcastle, the Uni is okay. Definitely better options out there, I'm sure others have had a great experience, I just got unlucky.
Great campus that’s centrally located in the city centre close to everything a student would need and all within walking distance. There’s a huge number of events going on plus loads of clubs and societies to join to socialise and try new things running all through the year. The only downside for me personally is the careers service, from past experiences I’ve just mostly been directed to what’s online which isn’t what I’d expect from a careers advisor.
Many cluster rooms with computers. The library is amazing, open 24/7.
Best art course in UK !!!!!!!!
The sport center is small, there are few basketball court
third year of PhD, and a year of Master previously. I quite enjoyed my journey here.
Good place, good school, good equipment, very kind, everyone is very friendly.
good university the students and teachers here are friendly and helpful
everything is ok.And i reallylike the students here .they are very friendly
Just have started the first year so cannot tell the truth; however I am happy that I was accepted to here. Good environment with warm people. Safer than London, and have pretty looking buildings
No other place I want to study in. Great social activities, balanced with excellent teaching as well!
Best experience so far! The help from the tutors, the library services and the personal tutors is amazing, everyone is quick to help and assist you with essays, language problems (since I'm an international student it was really important) and maths. There's a special aid in the Library where you can get free Math's aid and you can solve problems with a professional. I wouldn't have finished my first year with a 1st class if it wasn't for all the help of the uni facilities and my wonderful tutors. The student Union could have been more active though, with more activities for internationals or in general (shows, quizzes etc ). Definitely join a bunch of societies till you find your fav! I recommend the Comedy Society, everyone is really friendly and you'll get tons of funny experiences and laughs. Τhe nightlife is kind of boring after some point cause there are limited options of clubs (small city problems xd) but you can find your way around house parties and socials.
This university brushes aside student problems at placement host institutions eg harassment of a sexual nature and sweeps problematic and serious issues under the carpet to keep up a lovely publicity front that everything is going on fine .IT IS NOT. Students with unpleasant experiences at their host institutions DO NOT Forget their experiences and this university did nothing except to say sorry for unforeseen circumstances that have befallen on an unfortunate international student .The University can Do MORE to protect female interns at host institutions and future interns. Saying just sorry does not suffice to placate or relieve the frustration , disappointment and anger suffered by an individual . This university needs to set up a help centre and not just refer interns to a website for help should things go wrong. This is really disappointing
Great course and the staff go out of their way to help
The university is beautiful with loads of events with different courses to attend and the city is loads to offer.
In general, it is a lovely university.
I have good wishing abou the acceptance of my request
3-4 stars for campus facilities , ZERO star rating for Museum placement module. For students selecting Art Galleries and Museum course :- The department's ignorance on workplace hazards such as sexual harassment in the real Art world increases the risk for female interns . Failure on the university's part to adequately prepare or educate interns result in their safety being compromised. The university needs to ensure a safe academic environment for all students and acknowledge accountability and responsibility if things should go wrong at the host placement institution. Student experiences matter a lot towards a university's reputation and their unpleasant experiences should not be ignored. To think the university values the Art institution partnership more than a student's welfare , unfortunate experience and grievance plea is immensely disappointing even to the extent of appalling. The university needs to address this wake up call to provide more security to interns.
Really nice uni great buildings
Fantastic Uni. Great nightlife. Great people. It’ll be the best few years of your life.
To All Female Fine Arts and Museum internship students reading this review: The course modules and campus facilities are good and wifi connection is excellent however be aware of host institutions that are listed on placement internships for your course module . Sexual Harassment is very prevalent in the Art Institutions in the UK and interns are especially vulnerable to workplace misconduct . Academic institutions in the UK are very slow to address this challenging menace and Newcastle University is no exception. Their risk assessment forms failed to incorporate measures for interns to look into this matter seriously. The so called 'Change the workplace ' culture project that was recently implemented also failed in its outreach attempts to cover all departments . International students are particularly vulnerable as we are not familiar with the UK judicial system and upon further inquiry with legal firms in the UK, and interns not on the employment Act cannot seek compensation.
the campus is great. the people are lovely. the facilities and activities available are awesome.
Compact and very convenient. Perfect for a day full of classes.
Newcastle is a wonderful uni situated in the heart of one of the best UK city's. From crazy night life to relaxing parks, trips to the beach or a casual walk along quayside, Newcastle has it all.
Newcastle university has been above my expectations in every way. I love studying here.
I really enjoyed my time here.
Great lecturers, always happy to help. Intramural sport is second to none. Great facilities and organisations. Had a blast for the last 3 years
Such a lovely university, the campus is amazing featuring works of art from various artists. The university itself seems to have a focus upon giving back to the city, which is great, especially as the city does so much for students. Only issue is the pricing of wristbands etc. for Freshers
Bloody brilliant, I’ve loved every second of being here!
The medical school cares mostly about itself, has felt like there's not been a great support for the students. Usually, it has seemed when one of my peers has been in bother, the medical school have been one for chastising, not for supporting. It's been quite disappointing from that front. The library services are good, shame the decor is a bit plastic. Beautiful main bit of the campus, some of the satellite facilities are a bit ugly. Students' union feels more run for profit than run for students. The services available there, especially printing, are there for the exploitation, not benefit, of the students.
Feels like home. I've had a wonderful experience with Newcastle University so far, through my degree, societies and the city - there's no place I'd rather be.
Fantastic Computer Science facilities. The Urban Science Building was finished in 2018, so it's a very well kept learning environment. Internet for Park View is ridiculously good, with both upload and download speeds. Cannot speak for other accommodations. Great nightlife and filled with students.
Best looking campus in the country, with everything you need. A renowed university lives up to its name and works well with the city and it is the best place to be a student as well.
Very nice campus right next to the city centre which is very convenient especially for nights out. Staff is always willing to help and there is something for everyone to try.
The university makes an effort to make you seem at home, the Student’s Union, is a lovely space in which you can relax and study as much as you wish. The 24 hour study rooms and library are very helpful during exam and essay season.
Everything about the uni is great
Nearly finished my first year and I have loved every second! Campus is amazing, city life is amazing and most of all there is so much help already regarding getting experience on your CV for your future career even if you don’t know what it is! Wouldn’t have gone anywhere else!
Good uni which given me a massive academic support and developed my skills for future career.
for some reason our eduroam doesnt work at other unis? the students union isnt great- not many people actually go and spend time there. still a lovely uni tho and glad im here
Uni life at Newcastle is a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking to come to the city.
Beautiful campus and good facilities
Good except for accommodations
Good place to study But poor accomudation at the View
Not only is the student life enjoyable, but it is also a place where you will be challenged and pushed to your limit
I didn't particularly enjoy my time at Newcastle, feeling more like a number than a student with little in the way of support for those who struggle to keep up and find the balance between work and home life
Good place to study. Careers service is friendly but i did not find their advice helpful
Students Union was good for food and that's about it, the facilities were poor compared to other universities I have visited and the people in charge of running the union were not professional when it came to resolving issues especially with a society I was involved with where they defending students for sending threatening emails to our committee just because the emails were defending someone who had been insulting at one of our events by someone we had no control over.
You could not get a better package anywhere else! Career, Sport, Nightlife and amazing people - it’s all right there!
Just finished my first year; everything was excellent with the slight exception of the accommodation.
AmaZingly welcoming and top quality teaching staff in a great location!
Decent uni. Worst student union known to man
Great experience from a great university
Amazing university, all staff are friendly and are so are the students
