Great uni and great night life.
Newcastle university is great. I do really enjoy the campus and the variety of food places within, I just have not personally engaged enough to fully comment on certain aspects, such as having no clue what the student union truly does
Northumbria University is very student-focused and I feel as though you can truly see this as a student through the events they create, educational resources they promote (whether is about physical health or mental health services or job opportunities). The internet is more unpredictable at coach lane campus as it is an older building I suppose.

Newcastle is fun and friendly, with a fantastic, respectable university - the full package.
I like Northumbria however the wifi is difficult to access and I have to travel to coach lane for my lectures which is quite inconvenient and takes a big chunk out of my day. The free bus does help with this though.
Tends to be alot of social events and things to participate in however I do have issues with wifi and connection around some parts of campus

It’s a very friendly university and there’s not really much to complain about
As I’m at coach lane campus I feel like the SU could be doing a lot more as I hear at city campus they are always doing lots of stuff

Overall really good, a great university.
I have had a lovely experience staying at The Bridge Abodus apartment. I once experienced a shower blockage and sent an email to the maintenance team by 7am. To my surprise, by 10am they were already at my door. I was overwhelmed, as I expected it might take two to four days, but they proved me wrong with their prompt response. Whenever I receive a parcel, I get instant messages from Abodus, which I really appreciate. In fact, through my recommendation, two of my friends are now staying at Abodus. I would happily recommend it to others.

Newcastle University offers a great overall student experience with strong teaching, modern facilities, and good career opportunities. The campus is well located in the city, and student life is vibrant, with lots of societies, sports, and a friendly atmosphere. Overall, it’s a well-rounded university in a great student city and a solid choice for both academic and social life.

I have loved being a part of the cold water swim society - me and my friends go religiously every week and it’s genuinely one of the highlights of our week

I like the university and it has anything you could need. There are new buildings and equipment that is very useful

I love Newcastle so far! I did have wifi issues at first, but I went to the IT department with my laptop and they were so nice, fixed it straight away.

Good location and very soothing nature
Moving to Newgate has been a true blessing, from the incredible staff and the top notch facilities, I am grateful everyday I get to live here. A massive mention to Amber, who has stood out in many departments, she is a wonderful person, she has been friendly since the second I walked through the doors and is always available to help when necessary. She truly has made Newgate feel extra special and homely, she is loved by so many! Another mention to Maha, a welcoming and friendly face, it truly makes all the difference.

I’ve really enjoyed living at St James Point. The location is perfect close to everything, including campus and shops. The rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. The staff are friendly and always helpful, and there are plenty of great facilities, like a common and study areas. It's a safe and welcoming environment, and I’ve made some great memories here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for student accommodation!

Newcastle University has been an incredible experience for me from the beautiful, modern campus that makes studying enjoyable, to the huge range of clubs and societies that helped me meet new people and explore my interests. The Students’ Union is always energetic, supportive, and full of events that make university life feel exciting. What really stood out to me is the Careers Service, which genuinely goes above and beyond with personalised guidance for placements and graduate opportunities. Overall, Newcastle has given me a supportive, vibrant, and inspiring environment to grow both academically and personally.

Not much clubs or activities for PG students. Could improve PG students university experience a little more. The library and its services are just top notch. Classes and support from the staff is also commendable.
The University is very good appreciate the Tutors they support in teaching but when it comes to socialising with friends kinda too much Racism
It’s a vibrant school in the sunny days. I think there is decent student activities but lacks open day.
Great experience so far at the uni
As an international student, I’ve had a great experience at Newcastle University Business School. The lecturers are supportive, the teaching is practical, and the campus feels welcoming. The Business School building is modern, and the city is safe, affordable, and very student-friendly. Highly recommended!
When I first arrived in the city, I had many problems with my luggage getting lost and my journey, but when I entered the university, all my worries and sadness disappeared because it was a very warm and welcoming university. I had and continue to have many wonderful memories. It is a university that values its students very much, you experience everything to the fullest.
I love the lectures and often use the facilities around campus including the gym regularly which is very well equipped and a lovely environment. I’m part of the trampoline club which has lots of great equipment too and is super friendly and chill. The students union provides free health products that are helpful and the campus is beautiful and clean.
amazing uni, city is kind of small but it’s okay
Everything has been very enjoyable and is going really well. I haven’t been able to fully take advantage of every feature the school offers yet, but everyone is very helpful and kind, so I don’t think there will be any problems. I definitely believe that I am receiving an educational experience that is helpful and instructive in many ways.
The university offers a good learning environment with modern facilities and a supportive community, though like social activities for international students, it has areas that could be improved cause international students will suffer more social loneliness more

As an international MSc Finance student, my experience at Newcastle University has been genuinely fulfilling. The campus feels safe and student-friendly, and the support here has honestly surprised me in the best way. Whenever I needed help — whether it was about modules, attendance, or even personal tutoring — someone always responded quickly and made things easier. The facilities are modern, and the library has become my second home (I practically live in the quiet study rooms). The only small challenge is that during peak deadlines it gets packed, but that’s kind of expected. Overall, the environment feels warm, diverse, and very community-driven. Coming from India, I worried about settling in — but the university made the transition much smoother than I imagined.

I am a third year student at newcastle university and also work at mcdonalds to pay for all of my needs, i find it difficult but also rewarding as it gives me the responsibilities that i need
