N/A N/A. . . .
Studying at Newcastle University has been an incredible experience. The supportive lecturers, engaging courses, and vibrant campus community make it truly outstanding. I feel valued as a student, and the university consistently exceeds expectations in academics, facilities, and overall student satisfaction.
great student experience with great lecturers
I love Newcastle University. It’s the best university.
A very good university, many societies and interesting events, nice buildings and facilities
pretty campus with lots of good facilities, staff are always responsive and helpful
Great uni, the campus is beautiful. Only complaint is a lack of support in finding work or opportunities for after graduation.
I really like my student accommodation. It’s comfortable, clean, and feels like home. The location is perfect and close to everything I need. The staff are friendly and always helpful. I would definitely recommend it to other students.
I'm a fine art student at Newcastle university, best faculty and top-notch facilities.
So happy I chose it!! I love the campus and the city as a whole feels really safe and welcoming
Overall, the university has been a great place to study. The campus facilities are well-equipped, especially the library and study rooms, which provide a comfortable and productive learning environment. There are plenty of resources available to support students academically. The workload is manageable, and the overall study pressure is not too heavy, allowing for a good balance between academics and personal life.
It’s good cafes are expensive but I love the studying facilities
Its a good uni, my campus is very modern and its getting me a degree!
the university is great i like it
Very good!Perfect!Nice management
Yaoli is very responsible and considerate in her work.
No much to say, the tuition fee is expensive
Very good. Awesome. Can’t be better!
Mark is the best and the accom is lovely
That' s all great in surveys ,all good. But the internet sometimes have fluctuations
Everyone at Newcastle 1 is lovely, especially Yaoli she is always brings us cheerful vibes and supports.
The campus is beautiful, with a strong academic atmosphere. The teachers are responsible and caring, and the students are friendly. It is a great place for growth and success.
It’s nice . I am having a good time
I’ve had a generally positive experience living at Newcastle 1 Student Roost. The location is very convenient — it’s within walking distance of the universities and the city centre, which makes it ideal for students. There are also plenty of shops, supermarkets, and transport links nearby. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained. I particularly like having my own private bathroom, and the shared kitchen space is spacious enough to cook and socialise comfortably. The building feels secure, with key fob access and 24/7 support, which gives peace of mind.
The uni resources are very useful and good. Lectures are interesting
The uni is broke considering I pay more than 9 grand a year.
Really good accommodation would absolutely recommend, we'd like an upgrade or fix the pool table. Rhys has been a gem extremely helpful during his night shift
I’ve had a great experience at this student accommodation. The facilities are well maintained, and the environment feels safe and welcoming. A special mention to Rhys, who has been incredibly helpful, approachable, and efficient whenever support was needed. Highly recommended for students looking for a comfortable place to stay.
Met some lovely flatmates who are friends for life. Wi-Fi is very good for studying and social life no problems at all. If I have something wrong in my flat e.g. failure of an electrical appliance the staff are very helpful and it is easily to register the issue on the Unite students app. I don’t use the social spaces a lot as I’ve already met good friends on my floor and above so I mainly stay in their flat when I socialise. The location of my accommodation is good because it isn’t too far from my university buildings and it is also a good distance from the town centre and public transport including the metro. Overall I am having a very positive experience here!!!💕💕💕
Its beautiful and very welcoming
Campus has a big range of buildings with modern and old. Close to city centre.
Good school environment. But the internet/wifi really need some improvement...
Excellent facilities and great staff. Careers service has lots of events and super helpful and my course (Biology) has quite a few practical sessions.
Great university with a range of course which give you not only the learning but also give you the skills needed for the real world.
Good uni, able to do everything I wish
Fun uni, lots of social activities and a great city to be in!
wifi needs work always has issues
In a really good location and the campus is very clean. There’s some very modern buildings and facilities but also a few dated ones.
Brilliant uni with devoted staff
Lovely university. I have found everything very good
Good rooms decent sized bathrooms quick to sort any issues and has parking
Love my time at university, I can’t think of any negatives!
It’s great been having an amazing time here
Perfect for students who want to make friends and socialise wether that be going out or having chill nights in, the location is great and everything is very modernised
Great compact campus however there is sometimes a problem with WiFi access. There are some good facilities however especially for music, there are no music rooms to allow for practice if your a non-music major student
Yes its amazing and a studious university
Career services could be better, Enjoying my student life,
Compared to my home university, I much prefer and enjoy my time here! Being able to view the lecture slides before class helps give me the gist of what to expect for class. The practicals are more hands-on and they have all of the facilities I could never expect. The campus is so wide and to go from A to B can be tiring but so fun as it gives me a chance to exercise but it’s not as fun when my next class is far away from my current class lol
Haven't really used the careers but there seems to be a lot of opportunity. The campus looks really nice and the location is very good internet is mostly good but some places in the library some of my devices like my laptop can't connnect but my phone can so it might just be me. I live in Portland so I don't go SU much and neither do my friends in Bernicia as apparently the spoons is more expensive so I'm not too sure about it. The clubs and socs are rlly good there's tonnes and they're very good.
Good place and really close to centre
Overall pleased with the university; I feel like there is nothing more to add than the automated msg with the starred review.
Really social, wide range of societies and a lot of affordable events on.
I love studying pharmacy here.
The main campus is gorgeous, there are so many societies to choose from and there’s lots of resources to support students.
Very good experience. Friendly managers.
Newcastle University has been a fantastic experience. I have been able to unlock opportunities such as placements and internships I never thought I would be able to do. Thank you so much!
I like my university because it’s in a great city
Good university, very welcoming
Newcastle is an amazing university with staff that care and an amazing support service.
So far I am loving university. Great opportunities and meeting great people.
Great place to be at . Enjoy clubs
From my time studying physics I can say that both the staff who run and teach the course go to great lengths to make the university the best experience for students at all stages. Furthermore, the clubs and societies offer events for all people so there’s no pressure to drink. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I can assume my experience here applies to whatever field you study and which extracurriculars you take.
Lovely uni good facilities and lecturers
Lovely, well-kept campus with friendly staff. However, access to resources and contact information for certain faculties could be more easily accessible.
Nice location and multiple libraries, which is really helpful for studying. Overall a good university.
Pretty sweet place to be all in all.
I love being at Newcastle University it has lived up to all expectations
Everything so far has been excellent in Newcastle , they’ve been very supportive and the facilities are excellent
The uni itself is very nice, all the accoms are semi close together meaning if you want to visit friends in other areas, it’s not too much of a trek! Newcastle is definitely great for having a whetherspoons as its student union bar, it’s always filled with people which brings a sense of community and is quite nice! The nightlife is amazing here and you always bumb into people you know! The internet is okay, sometimes switches between 2 different routers and one can be slightly slower.
good facilities to aid studying. A range of societies and activities to take part in. all areas have strong wifi when eduroam wants to work
Slightly disappointed with the amount and level of contact time we receive. Lots of the first year content seems like a recap of A Level and feels like a bit of a waste of time. The library is okay. although always crowded. The campus itself is pretty and well maintained.
My experience so far here at Newcastle University has been very positive, full of social and professional opportunities. I have found it easy to make friends, go out nights out and join clubs and societies. My course has been very practical, as well as many academic curricula's that have completed my experience.
Market House is a really good student accommodation in the heart of Newcastle. The location is ideal — right in the city centre with easy access to shops, food places, and public transport, and it’s convenient for getting to uni. The building is modern and well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable with good facilities. The communal areas are a nice bonus for studying or socialising. Staff are friendly and helpful, and overall it feels like a safe and supportive place to live. Would recommend to students looking for a central location.
Really good university, with excellent facilities and clubs/societies.
The flat is close to the city centre and the front desk staff were very nice!
