Studying at the University of Dundee has been a genuinely rewarding and balanced experience for me as a current student. From academics to social life, the university offers a supportive environment that makes it easier to grow both personally and professionally. Academically, the teaching quality is strong and engaging. Lecturers are approachable and encourage open discussion, which makes classes feel interactive rather than overwhelming. The campus is compact, so moving between lectures, the library, and study spaces is convenient and stress-free. I’ve found that support services are readily available, whether it’s academic guidance, career advice, or wellbeing support. This creates a reassuring atmosphere, especially during busy assessment periods. Overall, my experience at the University of Dundee has been positive and enriching. The combination of supportive academics, a close-knit campus, affordable living, and an active social scene creates an environment where students can th
my uni experience so far has been great! sometimes the wifi cuts out here and there but nothing too notable :) the facilities are really accommodating for my course too
My experience has been mostly good, although the campus is a little run down.
Gradually getting accustom to the University, so far so good, welcoming environment, conducive for learning, and a well resourced library.
Overall everything is at a good quality.
During my experience at Dundee I have been pleasantly surprised of the campus, and the societies which are very inclusive and fun
Dundee University has a good social life, with lots of society's and out of class activities to take part in. The campus is very close together meaning short travels between classes and it gives the place a sense of community. The eudoroam wifi is sometimes good sometimes bad, depending on the time of day and location around campus.
University meets expectations even with the changes due to the financial issues.
I've really enjoyed starting at Dundee uni this year, and love the medicine course. I also particularly think there is such a good range of societies which I have loved trying.
yh eveything is fine, havent had a single complain about the followiign
I moved from sheffield to dundee for uni and it couldn't have been a better experience. It was so easy to make friends through activities that they host through societies. Everything is easy to access and the staff are more than happy to help with any problems or questions you have.
Dundee uni is a nice and quiet place
Overall I find my campus has everything that's is needed for a student like me which helps me in my day to day student life style if that's for studying or going out nights.
Great resources! Very excited to be here.
I’ve loved my experience in the University of Dundee so far. Great facilities, lab equipment functions properly. The lectures are informative and well presented. The lecturers are very helpful and approachable.
I liked the university, all on same campus so easy to get between classes, lots of societies for everyone, the union is nice for coffee breaks
I think my campus is great! there are loads of societies available for anyone to join, and the libraries and student services are always so helpful! The union is sooo friendly and the shop has everything I could ever need ! I personally have never used the carrers service so i cant comment on that really, but I have never had any issues with the Wifi :).
i wish that this university had more funding, but at least in the art department they’re doing a wonderful job with what they have. it’s beautiful here and i really enjoy the program as well as the faculty!
As an art student in the university of Dundee I find that the building itself though functional has some small issues with the overall structure of the building, such as roof tiles falling off of the roof when a rainstorm hit the place for the whole day, other than that it does what's needed of it and also the WiFi could definitely use a bit more investment.
The university offers a supportive and friendly environment that makes it a great choice for every international students looking for good universities, The school has a strong reputation in areas like medicine, life sciences and so many more. The cost of living is very affordable compared to other places like London of Glasgow , the student commmunity is very diverse and it’s easy to Meet new people from diffferent backgrounds and societies . Over all , University of Dundee is welcoming, affordable, and academically strong institution that provides every student with balanced experience and quality education!
Pretty good but wifi in rooms is terrible and student union is very underfunded. Courses are good however and resources are high tech
I love the societies I am a part of, however my internet keeps disconnecting randomly.
Really enjoyable and pretty easy to navigate campus. Great on campus shop and cafes. Only thing is a bit more budget is needed in the old half of the art building, to address some issues.
I have had an overall possitive uni experience. Only comments are wifi being inconsistent at times and heating issues in some lecture theatres and libraries
The community vibe at Dundee is strong, students are friendly and welcoming. The various societies and clubs available ensure there something for everyone
It's been my dream school since I was little, finally getting here, and being able to work in the major I really wanted has made me so happy. I think it's a really great uni, the staff are always so nice, the facilities are great, and even the city itself is really nice to stay in
So far the university itself is ok.
Certain societies have not made official in recent reviews that I would have like to join (stem society)
Overall great University. Some tweaks need to be made to organisation but other than that its great
very welcoming staff and huge variety of clubs to join
Overall good, could improve a couple of things
So far Dundee uni has been great, I enjoy my course and they are even giving me an opportunity to go on a study strip abroad.
It’s a very good uni to study at. The campus feels modern and very diverse. All lecture halls are amazing.
Enjoying my time here, would recommend for students studying computing
Studying at the University of Dundee has truly been a wonderful experience. I absolutely love the university, from the supportive supervisors and inspiring faculty members to my friendly and encouraging colleagues. The city of Dundee itself adds to the charm, offering a welcoming and comfortable environment that feels perfect for academic life. I had always hoped for a place where I could grow both intellectually and personally during my PhD journey, and Dundee has given me exactly that. Over the past year, I have learned more than I could have imagined, lessons that go far beyond books and classrooms. The experiences, guidance, and sense of community here have shaped me deeply, making this phase of my academic life truly transformative.
I have been having a good time at the University of Dundee. There are a lot of clubs and societies, more than I expected. There are a lot of things you can do as a student, so I think thats great! Also I really like the library.
I'm only in 2nd year so I don't have the most complete opinion, but overall Dundee's a good uni. Pre-budget cuts it was better but my lecturers adapt really quickly to critiques/problems raised by students, modules are interesting yet often a bit *too* short? Eduroam is eduroam so wifi can be super hit or miss. Most societies are pretty small but the student union-hosted activities (like Sip Happens) are super fun and enjoyable. Great community of people here. Wish the budget cuts didn't happen though
Good university, friendly students.
pretty good campus, great library but there could be more group study area/social study. great variety of clubs and great events with them. student union could be more modern. great wifi all around campus
Lovely place to study! A few issues with the financial problems but everyone is so kind and welcoming so no trouble.
As an international student, my time at the University of Dundee has been incredibly rewarding. The campus offers a welcoming range of clubs and societies that are well-organised and inclusive. The Students’ Union is active, supportive, full of life and stands out, making student life genuinely enjoyable. The Careers Service goes above and beyond, offering excellent guidance for further study, placements, and graduate jobs. Reliable internet and Wi-Fi has made studying and entertainment seamless throughout my stay. Dundee combines warmth, structure, and opportunity, an ideal place to grow academically and personally.
Students and staff are all friendly and helpful. The campus is compact enough to make walking easy. Everything you need is accessible within a 10 minute walk.
taking master degree in campus dundee is the best decision i've ever made
The WiFi works everywhere which is ideal, although sometimes it can cut out.
A very good university to study in.
It’s a great uni, has all the facilities and the student union is so helpful with all my inquiries.
Great uni so far, found it really welcoming and lots of societies to choose from
Overall good university, the union is not what it used to be as there is not that many cafe/ food options anymore.
Really facilitates the social and studying aspects of student life.
Great accomodation overall. Amazing social areas. Will likely come back next academic year.
I’ve just started here but I’m sure it’ll be good.
The campus is amazing, with top-notch facilities for both studying and relaxing. There are plenty of clubs and societies to get involved in, which makes it easy to meet people and explore new interests. The Students’ Union has honestly been one of the best parts of my experience here – it’s super active, supportive, and always fun. The Careers Service is also fantastic; they really go the extra mile to help with placements, further study, or graduate jobs. On top of that, the Wi-Fi has been reliable the whole time, making studying and streaming hassle-free.
The campus is in a great location. Academic staff are helpful.
Modern, well-equipped, and easy to get around. Friendly staff and lots of spaces to study or relax. Really welcoming environment!
Relatively bad not much good here. Staff horrendous and students similar
It’s been a great time really friendly people etc
I really enjoy so far my time at the University of Dundee. Looking forward to start my course and meet new people.
Though a relatively small place, University of Dundee is a really clean and pretty place to complete your studies. So many beautiful places and gardens, amazing library and services provided. You can even make your own crafts for free in the library such as 3D printing and badges! Wifi is provided throughout the whole campus, so you don’t need to worry about connectivity. The enquiry centres are so so supportive towards their students, helping us whenever wherever we have a question or problem. Our seniors are also so nice, bringing us for campus tours during the beginning and explaining things here to make sure we are well prepared for the school year. Another thing is that UoD has so many different types of clubs!! So many things for everyone to join, I am sure everyone will find a club they enjoy doing!
Dundee university truly feels like home weather coming as an international student or just out of the city. Moving here came with nerves as to being lonely due to not knowing anyone, i was wrong. The uni makes an effort for socialising by having every social you can think of from sports club to boards games and everything in between. The teaching staff also allows you to ask any question even if you believe it to be a “dumb question”. however the negatives is the small campus and the lack of certain resources which some may find as an annoyance but i believe the small campus is a strength as it allows for easy time keeping when reaching lectures.
The university provides all the essential facilities students need and the management staff are always helpful in keeping students updated about what’s happening on campus. A real highlight is the career service, which goes above and beyond in supporting students with CV preparation and career planning. The university is also a great place to meet people from different countries and backgrounds, creating opportunities to learn from each other.
As a student studying at the University of Dundee, I’ve really enjoyed studying here. The campus has a nice layout that makes it easy to get around, with everything close by. The environment is welcoming and supportive, with plenty of spaces to study or relax. Overall, it’s a great place to learn and grow.
the best university I could ever ask for!
The University of Dundee shines as an academically rigorous, student-centered, and innovative institution with excellent outcomes. While recent financial struggles pose real challenges, the university’s commitment to research intensity, student support, and social impact remains clear. Whether you're drawn by its strengths in science, medicine, or creative fields, Dundee offers a stellar university experience—just be aware of current changes and potential disruptions.
My experience has been good, every staff has been helpful and people at uni are decent. Just wish the Seats app could be fixed because it does cause some trouble at times
Genuinely have no complaints, love it here!!
Being on campus has been great so far and I find the student community really helpful. Facilities are great on campus.
A very peaceful place to study!
we’re in debt lol and eduroam sucks a**
Good facility, nice and generous staff, just feel like in home
Great uni looking forward to second year !
It’s a wonderful accommodation for students, with great facilities, friendly staff, and a supportive environment for both studying and socialising. The rooms are clean and modern, and the location is very convenient for getting to campus or exploring the city. Highly recommended! And David is very nice!
Good experience for studying and very good experience overall
Neat and tidy place to live in. Also, the university and city center is also nearby.
Enjoy my course and met amazing people
Great and supportive staff who're very good at giving prompt replies to any issues that arise. Excellent location next to the university whilst still being a decent price considering the recent nationwide increases in rent prices
It’s okay. The teachers aren’t the best
The university has a really nice atmosphere on campus. There's always something going on and a generally good vibe
It is in a good location and on the whole is a good place to study.
I have enjoyed my university life and would definitely recommend my connections as well.
Good university to study. Best infrastructure and best life
It’s ok. I think the making of new societies is troublesome as I’ve been advocating for over a year now. I think there isn’t too much space for having lunch etc since most of the union is closed.
I really feel home staying here at West Park, the place is calm, peaceful and quite. The staff here are very friendly.
Reasonable place to study. For international students.. it’s a good place to pursue life sciences, medicine or dentistry.
All inconveniences of living with people aside, Heathfield is a good location to spend one semester in. Even for the less social ones, living your own life without participating in group activities is merely possible. Yet, I encourage you to give a chance to this opportunity all gathered, this is enriching as everyone comes from other countries. You might as well be prepared to undertake household chores without counting who did what.
I do not regret choosing to study at Dundee University.
Overall decent university. Not too dynamic of a campus, but staff and lecturers are great.
Wifi cuts out often and the clubs provided a minimally active; however this only seems to be an issue with a few clubs.
Absolutely no complaints what so ever.
The university needs imrovements but overall had a nice experience. I enjoyed how friendly everyone is but services needs better regulations
Very good university however wifi in academic buildings could be improved.
I really love studying at Dundee!
The buildings on campus aren't far from each other, campus isn't too spread out which I like. Can get good views of the tay from some areas. Campus is also really close to places like lidl and tesco which make it handy for doing a food shop after class or going for a quick sweet treat in between classes. Campus is also fairly clean and tidy.
everything is great! so many support services
I wish there were more societies and especially a nursing society where we can all go to and speak about everything going on. Also to meet other students who are in different years who can advise us
The Internet can sometimes be slow, but otherwise is very reliable. There are a lot of good clubs/societies available to join.
great teaching staff always happy to answer questions
For the size of the university it has everything you could need and there’s plenty to get yourself involved in.
The University of Dundee offers excellent academic support and a welcoming environment for students. The campus is well-maintained, with clean facilities and great services that make studying here enjoyable. If you're looking for a university with quality education and a great student experience, Dundee is a fantastic choice!
I'm totally new so I wouldn't be able to rate about careers services, students union and club societies but as they won't allow me to go forward without it, so I'm rating it with a positive Hope.Hope I would be getting support from the team I mentioned. As being a international student we definitely would feel great to get support for a normal part time job,or to interact with students union and even being a part of some club or society.
Amazing uni, currently not a great choice for stability due to huge financial issues, everything is really easily accessible (if you live on campus), the uni has pretty much everything you need as long as you know your way around
