WiFi often doesn't work in lecture theatres
Overall it’s a good uni. Sports clubs and gym is pretty good.
Always had great wifi in uni. Will likely be getting in touch with the careers service soon too so it’s good that they are there!
Good facilities and societies around the campus. I also really enjoy the various activities and events the Union provides for students. The university overall is very welcoming to students.
I love Dundee University, there’s lots to do and great ways to meet other students!
Overall, a very good experience.
I cannot see a reason as not to love the university of dundee. To me it's more than a place of learning.
The school is amazing and nice
Student Union is a little low on activity but it is understandable due to the issues with the building itself.
The map is not very clear. A lot of campus information is not easy to find
Nice and friendly lecturers who are approachable.
I am more than satisfied with everything provided. As regards to sports clubs, I would suggest hiring more coaches to accommodate players of different levels. However, the social life here at Dundee is striving and there's many opportunities to meet new people which is great
So many clubs and societies to join and meet people as well as a great union
it's good, I haven't had a bad expert
Some of my favourite memories at uni have come from being part of the netball and badminton club. My best advice is to join a sports club or society as it is so much fun and very stress relieving!
Great spaces and societies have been the best part about coming to uni
It's good, though there are the occasional issues with striking and management, overall very satisfied.
Great facilities with a huge variety of stuff.
So-so. I feel that the Covid pandemic greatly showed the failings of the uni and the lack of support available during this time made it a struggle. Truthfully, there has been the same level of support even after the end of the pandemic. I am just glad I am finished.
I had a great time. The university and my course structure was brilliant
Pretty good campus, all near each other and good online services
Great University, both for studying & various entertainment!
Was good, got to meet lots of people
Great team and nice experience.
Many things to do and very helpful staff when i didn’t know what to do
Staff Is always un the best disposition yo help, campus os beautiful and I liked the variety of activities they offered
I am loving my time here at the university, great environment, great staff and student experience
It’s been an alright university. As a student that came in covid years lockdown made it more difficult but I have ended up with a good degree
I have enjoyed first year at Dundee uni.
Living it so far. Friendly organised. Library facilities are amazing.
Amazing. Its really good. I enjoy that there is wifi access everywhere
very good for first year, nice and easy location.
I haven’t had much experience with the careers services so can’t fairly judge, but other aspects of the university have been fantastic. The Union always has social events running both nightlife and in the day, but also affordable food/drink with the prem attached and the cafes inside, with a clothing drive/thrift pop-up in floor 1 multiple times a semester, a free breakfast programme and others. The library and student services are the highlights. The library is massive, intuitive and easy to use, with quiet and collaborative spaces as well as bookable private/conference rooms, an art/design area with a surprisingly affordable 3d printer among other tools available to use, the cafe is fantastic for long study shifts with really good paninis and the opening hours make the library available at almost all hours sociable or not. The student services are very thorough and supportive, listening well without judgement and work to find solutions to help both life and study become better.
the best flats on campus, i definitely recommend.
Enjoyed my first year staying on campus, loved the societies I have joined. I don’t feel like DUSA was good to this year besides Halloween/ St Patrick’s events and foodbank/breakfast club was a nice touch. The refurbishment of the cafe/bar area made the setting worse. Many students who have been here for a few years have said DUSA has been on a downwards spiral. I also did not like how most of the business school teaching was online for first years- this was not highlighted to us and it really disappointed me. Paying £6,600 for student halls and i could realistically stayed at home!
The university of Dundee is a good place for students who feel lost .it’s welcomes both international and local students. It has a serene atmosphere for studying and ultra modern technology to help in studies
Good university, staffs are super nice. Active student union and support!
Univer of Dundee is a great university with a lot of opportunities and facilities. 10/10 would recommend.
The University of Dundee is an absolute game-changer for me. From the moment I set foot on campus, I knew I was in for an incredible journey. The professors are top-notch, providing engaging lectures and invaluable support. The campus itself is stunning, with modern facilities and beautiful surroundings. But what really stands out is the vibrant and diverse student community. I have met people from all walks of life, forming lifelong friendships and experiencing different cultures. The university also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and events, keeping us entertained and connected. Dundee University has truly exceeded my expectations.
Work hard, and you will find all the goodness here!
The best decision I made was to choose university of Dundee for my masters.
the overall campus and structure to University of Dundee is great, wouldn’t want to carry my degree out anywhere else
A great variety of social activities to get involved in and lots of events are run which was great!
Lovely campus, everything is at reasonable distance from each other. I did not get to spend as much time on-campus being a Medicine student but for the time I spent there, it's a peaceful yet happening campus.
all round very positive experience !
Many events for students to discover and participate in, located in a nice and compact city
The school has a wide range of societies and facilities available. However, a sport membership is required to use the sports facilities which i do not really like about the school as we already pay a pretty high tuition fee.
I really enjoy the teaching as an art student, I feel like there could be a better student union as no one really bothers going there
Wifi works really well in the union and throughout all the uni buildings, ideal for lectures. Library can be fun when ur not rly stressed out about exams. The cafes really nice and the paninis r so good.
The staff are really nice and helpful when it comes to our education. However, due to the strikes there were lots of classes that were cancelled which as a international student this is very unfair to us as we paid a high amount of tuition fee and travelling fee to get here to study. I hope there would be some compensation for us international students.
Has been a very insightful experience
It is in a beautiful location with amazing people and staff. I never expected Dundee to be this amazing and friendly.
good university with good support for academics by lecturers, did not use career services so can not comment.
Excellent University. Everyone is super friendly and happy to talk to each other. .
I have spent a good time here, the classes and lifestyle in general are good although I still struggle with homesickness.
I attend the art school at UoD and the staff have been very helpful so far. I’ve learned quite a lot about my course and the connections I’ve made at this university will definitely be advantageous for the future.
Great uni with good facilities and clubs. Very clean campus, with modern and well kept buildings. strong WiFi all across campus
This is an amazing university and it has been a dream of mine to attend here since before I even started high school (my older sister used to study here which sparked my interest in it), it has lived up to all my expections and more and I cannot recommend this university enough
All the facilities were really helpful, they made the experience alot smoother and enjoyable.
Pretty decent, good facilities but not enough advertising for clubs, clubs on a weird times.
Extremely satisfied with my experience at the university and have received help at every step.
Clubs not too busy and the careers emails are too much
I had good experience. But the classes being online at the beginning of the semester restricted me from having a complete university experience and socialising.
I have generally had a good experience studying here. I have enjoyed my course and had pretty good opportunities to meet new friends. Some of my course lecturers and horrible people.
Great university and have enjoyed the course so far, student Union is good but has more potential
Having gone through ICD, I can attest to the university's friendliness, especially for us overseas students.
Great experience, super easy calm environment
I made the right decision by choosing University of Dundee. Faculties are helpful and supportive. They’re always eager to solve your doubts and ready to guide you in right direction. Excellent library fasciitis. Overall a perfect place to study.
The campus facilities are all very good with lots to use and access. The student union is very good however it would be nice if it was open for nights out more often. I haven’t had to use the careers service so don’t know what this is like.
enjoyed first year a lot, would always recommend this university to others.
In terms of facilities, the university is really good. The building are located in a location that you have eadily access to main campus, career service, enquiry center, and even bus stops. The green campus can be found every where and it can boost your mental condition as well. In tetms of teachers and professors, personally speaking majority of them are highly educated and have the ability to convey the concept in an appropriate way. They are at the same time friendly and really supportive. Regarding the staffs, more than 98 percent of them are supportive, kind, sympathetic and expert at their jobs.
Great campus with everything I’m walking distance and many activities on to attend
Amazing university i really enjoyed my stay at campus and everything is just nearby and related to studies this university is really good
Good facilities and people with great social life
Good academic staff. But a bit of chaos in the Social Work department.
A welcoming, well-organised community.
Wifi wasn’t very strong in flats
The uni provided a range of opportunities and is close to lots of things like clubs and bars!
My biggest love is the student Union especially the pantry service that provides free food and groceries for student. My experience with the lectures was amazing, everything about the MSc program is value for money.
Amazing university, staff are all amazing and made settling in easier
My time at the University of Dundee so far has been incredibly fulfilling. The university's commitment to academic excellence, practical learning, student support, and multiculturalism has provided me with a well-rounded educational experience. I would highly recommend the University of Dundee to any international student seeking a world-class education in a welcoming and vibrant environment.
A lovely area, with lots of opportunities
One of the best university unions - really good for events at night and good cafes for socialising during the day. Lots of options to join a club or society theres one out there for everyone.
As expected the University of Dundee was worth the move and the expenditure. I was always in the library space in the Scrymgeour building and the ambience was the perfect blend of relaxed and reading. The WiFi did have its days when it was frustrating but overall the bandwidth was impressive. Staff were ‘all smiles’ all day and of course the library cafe and student union cafes served good food . I really appreciated DUSA free breakfast and pantry food, it came in really handy especially for international students trying to find their feet. I give the University of Dundee 8.5/10, would highly recommend to family and friends
University of Dundee has been a great place to study so far as I have met many friends and our personal lecturer is excellent, responsive and attendant. DUSA however leaves much to be desired in terms of resolving society related matters.
The campus is pretty big and has almost everything you need. There are variety of clubs and societies for you to join, suitable for people with different abilities and levels.
A very friendly uni with great connections. The lecturers in the school of life sciences love to help out the students and put everyone in a great mood
Very convenient campus, helpful staff
The university was great for school and mental health support but I think the actual union could’ve been better for social events.
I'm currently a student there and I'm really enjoying my experience. The campus is beautiful and has a great mix of modern and historic buildings. The professors are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and there are plenty of resources available to help students succeed. The student body is diverse and friendly, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. I also appreciate the location of the university as it's close to the city center and there are plenty of things to do and see in the area. Overall, I would highly recommend Dundee Uni to anyone looking for a quality higher education experience.
Didn't make much use of the social aspect of university so I cannot comment. The library is nice but often very busy as it is quite small.
Huge campus, everything is close together and main library is highly accessible.
extremely welcoming and safe environment for students. this university is really diverse and makes sure everyone is included in activities and events.
Very nice university, helpful staff. Lots of resources
University provides good internet across certain areas as well as useful staff support across campus when needed.
honestly really enjoyed it so far, only let down is how expensive halls are.
The accommodation is close to the university of Dundee, 7 mins by walk
Great university very supportive and helpful
The university is in a good location that is close to the city centre. It is has a good library and a wide range of societies for students to join. It regularly holds events and activities for students to participate. They have a variety of services aimed to help students throughout their studies such as the academic skills centre and the counselling service.
I had no problems in campus and found help when required. Career services are very helpful with supporting students needs. I was not a part of the any clubs but I have friends who had good experience. Fun activities were conducted by the student union through out the year.
