The University of York has truly been a dream for me. I am a PhD Visiting Student at the School of Arts and Creative Technologies, and there are two well-equipped buildings across the two campuses. There are many practice rooms and good, well-tuned pianos available for study. The reception staff are always very helpful, and my supervisor has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and actively involved in helping me with my activities during this semester.

Uni of york has a such beautiful campus with kind people! There are various types of study area!

The college system is amazing, giving you the chance to play any sport or activity within a tight community and it makes the move to uni a lot easier. The two gyms on campus are very convenient as it doesn’t matter if you’re on west or east there’s a gym nearby.
The university is good, although i feel like there could be more events on campus, and perhaps weekly emails notifying students what events will be on that week

Beautiful campus. Kind people.
Pretty campus with relaxing spaces. Campus East looks like a modernist dirge that feels very corporate but West has vibrancy and soul. The college system is one of York's strengths (but don't expect it to be around for much longer). Library is busy but quiet and there's always lots to do at university and around the city.

Great value for money and an amazing place to reside in . Th team is very friendly and makes the place feel like home. The activities are a lot of fun and ensures social support when required .

Really good accommodation recommend for beginners
The university is a good place to work and meet new people. Any help and I can ask superiors for advice on how to complete any problems. All places are accessible and good for anyone.
The university is amazing and has everything a student could ask for. There are alot of societies to join and the staff in my department are very good.
Omg! I love my university. It is a lovely campus the modern side east campus and the not so Modern west campus. I love the water running through, the swans and ducks. Real life Barbie feels. I love my course as well and the seminars. There are so many events to attend almost everyday. All in all I highly recommend
Student union needs work and attention
A nice single-room apartment with a great view outside. On a nice day, when you pull the curtains, you might even have a brief illusion that "life is okay". The facilities are also quite complete, with a kitchen and bathroom available. In theory, you could lead a refined life - but in reality, you usually just order takeout. The only somewhat interesting aspect is the washing machine in the laundry room. Occasionally, it enters a philosophical mode: after swiping the card, it doesn't move, and when you don't look at it, it starts counting down. It's all about competing with humans. Fortunately, the staff are quite friendly. As soon as you show a little expression of wanting to confront the washing machine, they usually come to help you solve the problem. Overall, it's quite comfortable to live there. The only thing that requires developing a relationship is probably those washing machines.
Really enjoyed my time here at university! Sociology department is especially strong, student union not always the best at arguing in favour of students.
An amazing location and service
A lovely campus based University without being too far from the city centre.
Mainly experienced Campus East but it's very clean, easily accessible, great shops on sight and the people are welcoming
Incredibly fun times at York. The campus is beautiful and great to take walks in. Definitely the uni to come to for a more quiet less busy city experience

Has all the necessities you need and good people
So far in York, I have enjoyed my university experience and have also enjoyed my course. Exploring both east and west campus is always interesting and also seeing the various rooms that can be used.

Good overall but some spaces are left dilapidated - clear that university funding is low

A number of refurbishment projects are already underway, with more planned, to ensure our learning and social spaces continue to meet the needs of our community.
The campus signal is weak, could only live with the campus WiFi, but the WiFi would be off sometime

In all honesty, I don’t spend much time on campus due to being a medical student. For this reason I don’t interact much with the student union either.
Absolutely love this university, amazing lecturers and courses available. I love each society I’m part of and feel very proud to be part of this university

They are really supportive. all the staff are really helpful and will always direct you to where you can get help.
It’s a good university overall but there’s not a lot of diversity especially on the SU

I love really enjoyed my time on campus so far, some buildings do look a little old/ not taken care of but the facilities have been otherwise great with amazing support from staff
I highly recommend this student apartment. The staff here are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The management is very efficient and responsive, making everything run smoothly. It's a well-maintained and secure place to live. A great choice for any student!

The University of York has been such a great experience so far! The campus is beautiful and really peaceful, with a strong sense of community. The lecturers are supportive and passionate about their subjects, and there are so many opportunities to get involved in societies, events, and student life. It’s a really welcoming environment, especially for international students, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed studying here.

Place is pretty well mostly. Wifi is not good, cleaning of kitchens is not good Could be better ; reception is great, matt is great. Lovely staff , definitely tries to help us solve matters. Very friendly and approachable Location is great, very close to campus. Security is good as well.
