Teachers are very friendly and helpful . Whenever I have questions I ask them and they help me till I am satisfied. One of my favorite facilities my university provides is that I have access to laptop or computer if my person laptop is not functioning properly with free WiFi. I got to attend few career events organized my the university which was helpful to decide what I want to do in the future after graduation.

I made the best choice coming Leicester to study, I'm enjoying the experience.
i am a final year student at De Montfort University and my experience was enriching. The campus is vibrant and well-equipped, with modern facilities that cater to all academic needs.All the members are knowledgeable and approachable ,always willing to help students succeed.
DMU carries out block teaching where you study one block of two related modules over a six week period, followed by an assessment week during the seventh week. For me, although there is a huge amount covered in such a small time frame, this is more suitable than having 7/8 models I have to revise for at the end of the year. Staff are very friendly, inviting a practical element to engineering, in addition to a theoretical one.
The societies have been fun, and the facilities useful.
My experience at De Montfort University has been very positive. The university has a supportive and welcoming environment, with modern facilities that make studying comfortable and engaging. The campus is well located, close to the city centre, which makes student life convenient and enjoyable. The lecturers are approachable and helpful, and there are plenty of academic resources available to support learning.

Merlin heights is a great place to live. The staff are so nice and always going above and beyond. Sabine, Oliwia and Tom are genuinely caring. The rooms are spacious and affordable.

It’s okay, nice buildings and facilities
DMU has a lot of opportunities and great respurces that are available to students to make sure they have the optimal learning experience. DMU also has a great well being team and have some great polocies for making sure everyone is safe and getting necessary support.
The university is quite large and full of people, which initially made me feel a little anxious. However, the environment is very pleasant and comfortable. The classrooms are well-sized — not too small or cramped, and not too large either. The lecturers and classmates are very friendly and always willing to help. This makes the learning environment feel warm and welcoming, and it has helped me feel much more at ease.
Nice university to attend. The reason for the review is because although I'm aware of helpful resources available I've not really made full use of them. The course I'm attending has been very educational and has aided me in making what I want in a career a reality.
This campus is huge and very pretty. It has so many building facilitated for a variety of courses and a huge library. aplenty of social events that occur throughout the year, with the vast majority of staff being so great and supportive.
I’ve had a great experience staying here and would 100% recommend it. The value for money is really good considering the facilities and support you get, and the location is perfect, close to uni, shops, and transport. The property management is excellent and any issues are sorted quickly. Cleaning is always kept to a high standard, especially in the shared areas. The social spaces are modern, comfortable, and great for both studying and chilling, which really adds to the social experience and sense of community. The WiFi is fast and reliable, which is a huge plus for studying and streaming. The staff are honestly the best part, Cordelia, Gabby, and Samira are all so friendly and helpful, and both the day and night staff are amazing. Special shoutout to Sean on the night team for always making the place feel safe and secure. Overall, such a positive, welcoming place to live, I’m really glad I chose it!
It’s really good however I just don’t like how the heating systems work here and the shower water temperature are never right

The campus is nice to explore and the staff are friendly. Finding buildings and classrooms rooms are made easier with the campus maps too.

I had a fantastic stay here! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay!
My journey has been amazing at DMU. The seminar activities, workshop, being part of campus activities has boost up so much confidence. As an international student I was somehow afraid if I would be able to cope up here but all my module leader and seminar tutors helped me in every step. I am really looking forward to explore my opportunities coming on my way and highly privilaged to be part of DMU.
DMU is great, the staff are amazing but the social atmosphere is a bit weird, there seems to be a lot of people who aren’t taking things as seriously as they should

Since i moved în, ive feel so welcomed, by the staff but the room itself. When i had a problem it has been fixed within hours , priorities my needs as a student living in accommodation. Very pleased and happy

There are many Societies that have caught my eye, and the best part is that there are so many to choose from
The university has great facilities for my course and other needs. Societies are good but lacking basics like swimming clubs. Library services are really good with a range of sources and archives
Studying at De Montfort University has been a really positive and rewarding experience for me. The campus has a great community feel, with modern facilities and plenty of study spaces that make it easy to get work done. I’ve always found the staff and lecturers supportive, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. DMU offers lots of opportunities outside the classroom as well workshops, events, societies, and career support that actually helps you build confidence and skills for the future. The campus location is also ideal, with everything in Leicester city centre just a short walk away. Overall, DMU creates a welcoming environment where students can grow academically and personally. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone considering studying here.

Amazing staff and location. Really love the atmosphere
This is my 2nd year in this accommodation and I have rebooked once again! This accommodation is perfectly situated in between the City Centre and DMU campus, and not a long walk away from University of Leicester. The staff here are extremely lovely and are always available at the reception where you need them. Your parcels are kept safe and there is CCTV around the building for extra security. You can also tell that they prioritise cleanliness in the environment , so everything is always kept nice and clean. The prices are extremely affordable for the kind of rooms you’re getting too! They often put on little seasonal events throughout the year, for example Easter “egg” hunts and Halloween nights with pizza and card games, which helps bring flatmates together! There are 0 complaints, I cant wait to stay another year :)
Not great. But perfectly acceptable
The service was particularly good and warm, especially from Samira. Moreover, the speed of repair for damaged items in the room was also very fast.
Great accom - really good prices (they don’t overcharge you like other accoms) and incredible staff. Lived here for 2 years and it’s the best student roost property I’ve lived at. The location is ideal for DMU students aswell. Cordy and Gabby always go above and beyond aswell as just being incredibly friendly and nice to have a chat with. Maintenance is also efficient thanks to John, never had to wait more than a day for an issue to be resolved. All in all great accom 100% recommend

It’s a great experience to have right after finishing sixth form. It also helps you gain a piece of yourself to understand who you are.
DMU is undoubtedly my top choice in terms of academic support and module teaching, but the campus network speed at DMU is really hard to be fully satisfied with; sometimes it can even take 1 to 2 minutes to download a file, and I hope it can be optimised in the future.
I really enjoy studying at DMU because the campus feels welcoming and the learning environment supports me really well. The mix of helpful staff, engaging courses, and a friendly atmosphere makes my university experience genuinely enjoyable.

DMU is an amazing university, with the campus well layed out and close together, it is easy to get to and from where you need to be- on the same point, the town centre is just 5 minutes away, as well as any retail stores you may wish to shop in. The staff and students are very kind and supportive, wether it be the careers team or even just your tutor.

Starting university was exciting and a bit overwhelming at first. Everything felt new, people, lectures, and routines. I enjoyed learning subjects I actually cared about. Balancing studies and social life took some time to manage. Group projects taught me patience and teamwork. Overall, university helped me grow more confident and independent.

DMU has a wide variety of events and services to really make a student feel at home. The course I am currently attending (Concept and Comic Art) has fantastic teachers, all being highly skilled, knowledgable, and personable. They're even able to make me enjoy aspects of the course I wouldn't normally like.

DMU has a place for everyone , and can also help you secure a graduate job thanks to DMU's Careers Service. In terms of campus and facilities, it is great.

My university is the best for everything
I’m extremely satisfied with my course facility along with my tutors but also everyone is so nice and approachable.
i am on the Design Crafts course and have seen all the amazing facilities in the vijay patel building. this course and university has SO much to offer if you’re a creative student. i felt so uplifted by the tutors and workshop staff they will move heaven and earth to help you make your dreams come true within a project, and if you’re feeling stressed or down their is a brilliant mental health service within the university. not to mention the careers service which has jobs available on campus if you are in need of money i highly recommend this university
As the weeks go by, I'm finding new spots to explore around the area. From cozy coffee shops to lively local markets, there's always something to do. I've also joined a few clubs at the accommodation, which has been a fantastic way to connect with people who share my interests. Whether it's a quiet night in the common room or an adventurous day out in the city, every moment feels like a new experience. I can't wait to see what other memories I'll make here!

Going to DMU has actually been a good experience. I enjoy the block modules, it makes studying easier. It allows me to be flexible. The campus is really good, comfortable and big.
Paige at Student Roost is absolutely amazing! She is always so helpful and caring, and it’s clear she genuinely puts us as students first. Whenever there’s an issue, she makes it her priority to get it sorted quickly and properly. You can really tell she cares about our wellbeing and comfort, and that makes such a difference. Paige goes above and beyond every time, and we’re so grateful to have her support here.

I’ve been studying at de montfort university for two years now; having volunteered at the student union, working with academics and even giving talks and presentations to academics on the student experience i have loved every moment so far. the city is safe for students, it’s relatively liveable whwn student finance is in, and i’ve really loved studying at de montfort university. it’s become a second home for me!
Great university, so much going on, campus has always got activities or some kind of event going on. Staff are friendly and helpful and will always do their best to resolve any issues. Campus is diverse and there are a wide range of societies to join
