Best university in the country
Loughborough is like a family, the atmosphere is amazing and everyone is happy to help you with anything, you feel comfortable stopping and talking to everyone and the events are incredible
Best three years of my life! Loughborough has such a community feel as everyone is on campus. The hall spirits are unlike any other uni and you become so attached to your hall. The town has everything you'd need and everything is walking distance. You don't have to be spotty to come here (I'm not!) but the sports facilities are unrivalled and great value. Loughborough is also well thought of by employees, with great business links for career opportunities - i've just graduated and have landed myself a great job in the centre of London at one of the biggest financial firms in the world! I'm missing Loughborough and the people there so much already, I wish I could do it all again. Don't hesitate, apply! You won't regret it I promise
The facilities is very good. The helping services is brilliant as well.
So much to do on campus with something for everyone, and not just sport which it is well known for the union caters for all tastes with many different themed nights.

Amazing university assessable to people from all walks of life
Amazing student support, students definitely at the heart of this university! Couldn't ask for a better support system along side a fantastic education. Something for everyone, everyone is accepted and can find their place. Lad culture is an issue, even moreso than universities in general, women are objectified and men can be made to feel inadequate/judged, but this is the only negative thing I could say about this university!
Great campus with fantastic sporting and other club opportunities, one of the best student unions in the country and also provides high level teaching.

No surprise! Student union is just too crazy, not something for me and unsure what are they doing in the campus.
With top of the range facilities all over the campus each course has all the specialists equipment required. There are 50 plus societies in Loughborough and hundreds of sporting clubs, honestly the best university for sports considering we have one bucs 38 years in a row! The student union is fantastic, with 3 individual clubs inside for our union nights which during the day double up as communal areas. The union team are also available and run regular events and activities. The career opportunities in Loughborough are ongoing with great supporting staff, weekly email updates as well as regular career fairs. Loughborough WiFi is 'eduroam' it has coverage all over campus and is always reliable.
Fantastic experance. The campus is always busy and lively with people around throughout the year. The SU is brilliant, offering loads of clubs and societies to get involved with such as media, sports (which range massivly), charity, volunteer work and so much more. The SU also offers great nights out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The big nights out are the Wednesday and Friday. The SU has been voted the best in the country again. The facilities on campus are great with shops, laundry, library and two gyms and a pool!
Loughborough is a really underrated university and should definitely come under the top 5! My past two years there have been incredible and it has going there has definitely been the best decision I've made so far in my life

Love everything about Loughborough apart from the slow wifi
Loughborough University has been my home for the past year, it sometimes goes by the name "the bubble" because Loughborough uni is like living inside a bubble, with all the greatest things in one place. Meeting amazing new friends and having the best opportunities thrown at you. There's so much to do, from joining a society to volunteering in action, there's something for everyone and I cannot wait to return in my second year. I don't think I will ever want to leave!
I have never been anywhere else where each individual has been encouraged to get involved with as much as possible. Loughborough is such an inclusive place where everybody feels at home and like they belong.
Being at Loughborough is probably one of, if not the best decision I have made in my life. The university offers a lot of opportunities for students to get involved and you really feel like you are part of something big here at Loughborough.

A place that quickly grows on those that go there. The feeling of togetherness, high quality facilities and expectation of high standards is unrivalled.

Just finished my second year, the union is incredible and having been involved with every aspect so far I can't say a negative point about the uni. My course, hall and experience have been amazing.
Loughborough is a huge campus with everything you could ever need, the sports facilities and gyms are amazing, there is a wide variety of chances to get involved with many different activities throughout the year and there is something for everyone
Amazing facilities for sport including 2 of the country's best gyms. Wifi access all over campus, even the shuttle buses! SU already won a lot of awards and a great resource for info about all that goes on in the uni. Wide range of societies and easy to set up clubs. Careers info given on a weekly basis including internships, placement years and graduate schemes. Very photogenic campus due to variety of greenery and easy to travel around.
Loughborough university has everything you need, all on one single campus, which has a FREE bus service every 5 minutes across it which doesn't even mean you have to walk to lectures! Wifi is quick and accessible everywhere. Oh the union - best union in the country!

The best year I have ever had at Loughborough uni. Being a fresher was a fantastic and once in a lifetime experience and so glad i chose it at this uni.
I struggle to find any major flaws with Loughborough university, it has given me an amazing 3 years and has something for every kind of person.
Perfect balance between emphasis on academic and social aspects of Uni life. Great opportunities for people interested in sports as well. The campus atmosphere you get here is not comparable to any other UK university.
Loughborough has been amazing, my course is well taught and there are plenty of opportunities on it, not to mention a brilliant place to have a night out, or just go for a laugh with your mates, couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Loughborough University welcomes all its students with open arms from the very first open day through the whole of your academic year/s. They have the best nights out in Loughborough and in the LSU , the nightlife and social life are incredible. Definitely had the best nights of my life here so far. The lectureres, employees at the shops and clubs and students are all friendly and a great laugh. I have definitely met and made friends for life whilst being here and am so glad that I chose to go to Loughborough. My course has also made me realise that anything is possible and to never give up on your dreams! BEST UNI EVER!!

Loughborough may be in a small town but I believe it's the mightiest of them all; with its superb facilities and excellent Union there is nothing like being a part of the Loughborough Family

I thoroughly enjoyed first year, and can't wait for second year!! Loughborough campus is huge, (lots of walking) but doesn't have everything (medical centre, football pitches, Co-op, ect). The student union is especially impressive, as at night time it turns into a great night life experience with 3 clubs and a pub. Most if loughboroughs courses include a 3rd year placement, which is very helpful for career opportunities, loughborough also holds various career fairs thoroughly the year. There is wifi almost very where on campus, although it's isn't always very reliable. Yet overall loughborough is amazing !!

Great uni, with top educational facilities and awesome social life! Would advise Towers as a catered hall and Rigg-Rutt as a self-catered hall, and that's coming from someone who stayed in David Collett.

Gorgeous campus, plenty of clubs and societies! They even have quidditch for f*cks sake! Plenty of sponsorship opportunities and the old eduroam is aplenty!
There is such a friendly environment on campus, although not a lot to do in the town!

Sometimes the wifi server may kick you off. But we have a great IT services department to help you every time!
Loads of different opportunities to get involved in, especially with the clubs and societies- something for every one. Internet service definitely needs improving!
Loughborough is definitely the place to be. There is undoubtable something for everyone. Excellent lecture theatres, excellent library and a superb students union. Accommodation options are varied and inexpensive. Couldn't think of anywhere to better to do a degree.
Overall a really great uni with a great vibe/community feel. Lots of opportunities to meet new people in the form of clubs/societies etc. The union is really great in terms of nights out etc. Standard of lecturing is generally good but obviously some modules are better than others. Having the chance to do a placement year at Loughborough really sets is apart from other universities, and if you are into sport (or want to try something new) then Loughborough is ideal!

The campus is beautiful and has great facilities. Staff are helpful and encouraging. It has great ties with industry. The student's Union is the best I've been to with great events for everyone.

Could not have made a better choice, everything about the University screams quality! You might think being so male and sport dominated you would come across a lot of 'dislikable' people (put it that way), but the stereotype could not be more inaccurate, great people! job placements/prospects were massive attractions, can't wait to see what 3rd year holds!
Love the massive campus, it has pretty much everything you need! Its nice that most people live on campus in first year so everyone's near by. All the halls have a great spirit, there's always something going on in the uni or something you can get involved in.

I didn't understand how Loughborough could be continually ranked as the best student experience until I got here. What Loughborough town lacks in size, the uni 100% makes up for in the number of things going on, every day, all year round. After probably 60 nights out in the union this year it's STILL my favourite. The sports facilities are obviously unrivalled; the IMS programme has been my favourite thing this year, meeting so many people in the most fun sports tournaments I've ever participated in. Also, the hall spirit is amazing. From the sing off in freshers to the final announcement of hall of the year, I have thrown myself into every opportunity - volunteering, sport, fundraising etc. There is honestly a club or society for everyone, and the more you're involved the better. All the social/extra activities aside, the uni is becoming more recognised for its academic excellence. I have had so much fun and found myself during first year, and never ever want to leave!
Campus has really good facilities and is one of the largest in Europe so I would definitely recommend purchasing a bike or be prepared to do a ton of walking. The Union is setup well and encourages participation and it is easy to get involved with volunteering, societies that cover more or less everything and more. Their careers service is really strong and has been helpful. They will help you get a job/placement and have plenty of advice. Internet is OK but can be unreliable at times in terms of being on campus. Great university with plenty to do.
Really enjoying Loughborough because my course is brilliant and the sport is amazing. A big issue is the nightlife. Due to the sporting culture there is a tendency for the clubs to fill with rugby players and body builders, whilst many are fine others have a testosterone fuelled sense of entitlement and this can create an unpleasant atmosphere. I love the people on my course but there can be some nasty pieces of work around campus.
It was the best decision I ever made coming to this university. Our student experience is incredible, you will never be bored! There is always something to do if you're not focusing on your degree for a few hours. Staff are amazing, attentive, encouraging and supportive and the facilities here are incredible for every subject!

My course was perhaps the only thing I would change about my time at Loughborough. I think the opportunities available are incredible and guaranteed it will be the absolute time of your life.
Amazing campus. Great plans for nightlife of students. Also, plans for evening / non alcoholic events are getting better and bigger.
Can't really go wrong at Loughborough; course quality is excellent (why is this not an rating option?!), the diversity of students and the range of things to get involved in is second to none, eduroam provides an excellent service both in WiFi and in fast Internet service everywhere on campus, the student halls are not just reserved for first years (returners make up about a third) and there is a huge range in terms of pricing and hall spirit, industrial ties are brilliant meaning the likelihood of you getting a job out of your degree is also very high (already got mine and so does everyone I know), and nights out are fantastic with some decent guest performances through the year.

Internet can be dodgy sometimes, disconnecting and re-connecting. Campus atmosphere is great
