Where is Sheffield Hallam University Located?
Sheffield Hallam University is in South Yorkshire which is right in the centre of the UK. Leeds and Manchester are its neighbouring cities with London only a two-hour train journey away.
City Campus is just a few minutes' walk from Sheffield train station, and is surrounded by shops, cafés and pubs. Just a 25-minute walk away is Collegiate Campus which mixes some of Sheffield's best bars, markets and restaurants with stunning parks for studying in the sunshine.
Graduate Outcomes
95% of students were in work or further study 15 months after graduating (2021/22 Graduate Outcomes Survey). The University Careers and Employability provides students and graduates with career advice and support including access to thousands of internship and job vacancies.
Facilities
Sheffield Hallam has invested hundreds of millions in facilities, so students can learn in the same environment as they will find in their future workplace. As well as 24-hour libraries and study areas, the University offers specialist course facilities including, a state-of-the-art simulated hospital ward for nursing and allied health profession students and flight simulators to inform aircraft design for engineering students.

Hi, thank you for your question. If it's the Robotics Masters course that you're considering at Sheffield Hallam, you'll have the opportunity to benefit from the support of your supervisory team, consisting of a Director of Studies and a second supervisor who has specific interest in your chosen subject area. Also, in addition to carrying out your work independently, you'll recieve research training, Linux and ROS training and you can also opt to undertake training in Matlab, Open GL, InDesign, Illustration and After Effects. I love Sheffield Hallam, it feels like they really care for their students, there are really good facilities and lots of extra curricular clubs and events to go to. I love the surrounding green spaces, restaurants and bars which all add to the university experience!

Everything is perfect in the campus

We pride ourselves on the lovely community that we have created here of staff and students so it is great to hear that this has been the case for you. We love both of our campuses - we have two lovely campuses, both of which are really close to the city centre and our halls of residence. Our city campus is right next to the train station and is right in the centre of town and our collegiate campus is just off Ecclesall Road which is only around a 20 minuite walk from the city centre. Both have great facilties such as our 24 hour libraries and great course specific facilities and we will have even more when our new buildings open which is really exciting! Thank you again. OK university with a lack of study spaces but good lecturers

We are really proud of all of our buildings and the study spaces we offer, but there will also be lots more available when our new buildings open in the new academic year which will be really exciting and will open up lots more options for you. We have loads of great staff who are always there to answer any questions you may have and support you in all aspects of your work. Good accomodation , Here are some good things about living in accommodation, especially for students or people moving for work or studies: 1. Convenience Close to university or workplace, saving commute time. Furnished spaces mean no need to buy furniture or appliances. 2. Community & Social Life Easy to make friends and connect with people from different backgrounds. Events and shared spaces encourage interaction and a sense of belonging. 3. I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at this accommodation. The place was clean, well-maintained, and had all the basic amenities needed for daily living. The location was convenient with easy access to public transport, shops, and other essentials. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and reliable living arrangement.

The best accommodation in Sheffield by far. The flats are stunning with amazing facilities. Events are hosted often, so money is well spent. Staff are so accommodating and lovely. Maintenance issues are resolved quickly. I couldn’t recommend more.

Living at Archways in Sheffield as an international student has been an incredible experience. With everything included and first-rate services, the lodging provides excellent value for the money. It's in a handy place, near the university and all you need. The management team is always fast to address any problems and is very helpful and responsive. The communal areas are welcoming and comfortable, and the facility is kept immaculate. With frequent events that made it simple to meet people and feel at home, I truly valued the strong sense of community. Additionally, the internet connection was consistently dependable and quick, making it ideal for studying and leisure. Overall good review.

I had an amazing experience at this student accommodation! The facilities are excellent, providing a comfortable and well-maintained living space. Everything is clean, modern, and well-organized, making it a great environment for students. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the incredible staff. They are some of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve met. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and supported. Whether you need assistance with something or just a friendly chat, they are always there with a smile. I highly recommend this accommodation!!!

Studied here for nearly two years and have another two to go. An honest review, it's a really great university. Not many universities in the UK offer the degree I study, so it's great to be at one that not only teaches this degree, but teaches it with real passion. The staff and facilities are great, and the constant offers for things like societies, trips, etc. are amazing. 9/10

Our tutors pride themselves on ensuring that all students are happy and confident in their work. They are there to answer any questions that students may have and make sure that lectures and seminars are fun and engaging as well as informative. We have a great amount of support we can offer our students too – every student has access to an academic advisor, a student support advisor and an employability advisor. They are always there to help you, and we always advise students to make sure you talk to them as they want to help you if you need it. Our city campus is right next to the train station, making commuting and travelling really easy, and our collegiate campus is only a 30 minuite walk or 15 minuite bus journey away from the station too! Brilliant experience better than all other accommodations
Hi, Thank you for your review, I am really glad to hear that your accommodation has been great! We are proud to be able to offer all of our students a room in one of our halls of residence if they would like it where you can live with other Hallam students and it is a great way of making friends with lots of new people! We make sure that all of our accommodation is kept to a great standard for all of our students. Most have en-suite bathrooms and they are clean and modern! It’s a good uni, sometimes wish the facilities for engineering are always available

Honestly, moving to Sheffield Hallam from abroad was a bit scary, but it turned out way better than I expected. Like, everyone was really nice, and there's a ton of help if you need it. The city itself is cool, not too overwhelming, and the classes were actually useful, not just boring lectures. I felt like I fit in pretty quickly, which was a huge relief.

It's good accomodation for international student

We love the great range of accomodation options we can offer to our students. We have lots of great options, all of which are close to at least one of our campuses! Our website is great at explaining all of our options, with the distance from each campus explained and plenty of pictures. We have a great range of affordable halls for our students to choose from which are modern and well looked after. We love that we can offer all of our first years a room in one of our halls as this way you are guaranteed to be able to live with other Hallam students in our popular student areas! The lecturers are super nice and are willing to help you with whatever you need help with. There are a lot of opportunities provided by the uni in both an academic and social sense.

I want to extend my appreciation to Athef and the Laycock Studios maintenance team for their excellent service. The routine inspection and proactive replacement of my showerhead and some minor works for hygiene reasons show a great commitment to resident comfort. Sheffield hallam is a great university for social experiences and sense of community, Wi-Fi could be better for seminars, lectures and studying.

Placement is really tough part of the Course. There should be more transparency about Placement process (like data showing students got placement and who didn't).

Finding a placement can be hard and if seeing data from previous years is something that you would find useful, it might be a good idea to talk to your course tutors about this as they may be able to help with this. We also have a great careers team here who are usually good with helping students to find placements. I’ve really enjoyed my first year at Sheffield Hallam University. The campus is welcoming, and the staff are supportive and passionate about teaching. The facilities are excellent, with plenty of study spaces and resources to help with my learning. The university’s location in Sheffield is perfect, with lots to do around the city. The student union has plenty of activities, making it easy to meet new people and get involved. Overall, it’s been a great experience, and I’m excited for my next year

My experience at LIV Sheffield has been very positive, my flat is in outstanding condition and I would recommend it to others. The communal space and facilities are excellent and the staff are kind and friendly.

When I moved in September i've been impressed everyday by how beautiful everything looks, as well as how close it is to the university. The price is a complete steal for how big the room is. Almost every week theres a different event happening in the looby

The university offers lots of opportunities and advice of needed and the buildings and rooms are easy to locate.

We pride ourselves on the amount of support that we are able to offer our students. Ever student has access to a student support team, an employability team and an academic advisory team which our students always find really helpful. All of our staff are always here to help and want to support students and make their journey here as smooth as possible. We have a lot of buildings, but they are signposted well and it’s pretty easy to find your way around! Both our city and collegiate campus are fairly straightforward, but we always have staff around if anyone is stuck, or our students are always happy to help others! Good uni with amazing socials and clubs

Very helpful staff great place to live internet is better than shown good distance to the shops, gym, and the campus
Good, still module wise improvement is required and international should.be reduced, looks double the local student fees. If.that amount is there with student. They could have focus on studies instead of focusing different kind of part time jobs.module related books are not available in library.
