It is a great University, with many staff willing to help you out.
Enjoyable time studying here. Staff are friendly and approachable, and the societies available are relatively well established and diverse in nature. Lecturers are knowledgable in their subjects, but there are times where I've had difficulties with how they have presented some elements in their course modules.
Overall has good resources and facilities, they are available when you need them.
As a final‑year student, I can say this place has been a mix of late‑night library marathons, surprisingly wholesome society events, and the occasional existential crisis about deadlines. The teaching quality varies by department, but when it’s good, it’s genuinely inspiring. Campus food is… fine if you like carbs. The real highlight is the community — you’ll find your people here, even if it takes a minute. Overall: not perfect, but a solid place to spend three years figuring yourself out.
Support is excellent, always engaged with students
I've really enjoyed my time so far at Plymouth, the atmosphere and environment is super welcoming and all the people I've met and spoken to have been really nice.
Very happy studying here, staffs are helpful to international students as well. UPSU has many events that made my university life very fulfilled
The University of Plymouth provides a supportive and engaging learning environment. The lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable, and the teaching is well structured with good access to academic support. Facilities such as the library, study spaces, and labs are modern and well maintained. The campus is well located, close to the city centre and the waterfront, which makes student life enjoyable both academically and socially. There are plenty of societies, events, and opportunities to get involved, creating a strong sense of community. Overall, the University of Plymouth offers a positive and well-rounded student experience, and I would recommend it to students looking for quality education in a vibrant coastal city.
