Great campus, facilities and social clubs. Love being at uni of Plymouth!
Wifi kinda sucks but the uni overall i do love. Plymouth is a great area to be in. The campus is so lovely, it is a bit of a walk to get around since there is a lot of work going on in the area but i dont really mind. The university is a thriving place most of the teachers are so kind and they are really helpful when you need it. I love the societies in the uni, there is such a big range of them, most of my interests are covered which also helps me socialist a lot more, since i have severe anxiety i usuallly find it hard to socialise but these societies help me talk to more people who have similar interests to me. Which i really like.
Plymouth provides a range of activities and societies to join that create a good sense of community. Their is something for everyone
Plymouth University has a lovely campus with great facilities and is located in a beautiful part of the country
The campus and facilities provision is basic. Improvements are needed. For example, a larger library or more study buildings which are open 24/7 as Library gets full very fast. A good range of welcoming, organised clubs and societies based on hobbies and interests. The wifi is good enough for studying, and any problems raised are fixed in a reasonable time.
My experience at the university has been alright but nothing special. The teaching methods on my course could be improved significantly, with more contact time being a priority. Social opportunities are limited, and there’s definitely room for better engagement in this area. Overall, while some aspects are satisfactory, many areas, such as teaching quality and social life, need considerable improvement.
It’s a very nice accommodation. The communal areas are great for socialising
Being at UoP for the first month has been an amazing experience. The students and staff are friendly and helpful. The city buzzes with life and beauty. Being near the beach definitely is a tranquil and therapeutic experience. The facilities and resources are also plentiful. There is so much opportunity at the University of Plymouth.
The learning atmosphere is strong, the classmates and teachers are very friendly, and there are enough hardware facilities to learn
Since joining the University of Plymouth, I’ve genuinely felt a sense of belonging here. The experience began on a high note with Welcome Week—a truly fantastic event filled with fun activities, chances to meet new friends, and helpful information to kickstart university life. The staff and lecturers are incredibly friendly and supportive, always ready to answer questions or provide guidance. The university places a strong emphasis on student mental well-being and health, which is incredibly reassuring. The Students’ Union also plays a huge role, organising events and offering academic and personal support. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, with a new campus centre park set to open soon, adding even more beauty to the university. The university is also deeply committed to career development, offering frequent programs, seminars, and networking events to connect students with internships, mentoring, and placement opportunities. All in all, it’s been a rewarding experience!
