Really good halls. Staff all Friendly and helpful. Man security John very aggressive and lies saying vehicle recognition on site which isn't true.

The place is in a very good location. However, they are a very greedy place, I had to evacuate back due to pandemic, and they are refusing to refund me for the rent (approximately 2000£) I paid in advance. Apart from keeping students money, which that should already tell it's a big red flag, the apartments are not what they appear to be in the pictures on the website. The apartment has a lot of issues. The rooms are very dirty and they have mold all over the walls and ceilings. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything your flatmates and roommates are saying and doing.
Ok place to study, close to town. However don't take your bike there. I had £600 bike stolen, with 24 hour security guards, 12 foot Wall, key card gate, and it was chained up facing a camera and it's still got stolen. Security guard didn't want to know, and didn't bother. I was half suspicious he was in on it. I received no sorry or compensation. Couldn't really carry on in the hallan cycling club either. Was gutted
Covid-19: Was in the 2915/16 intake, so didn't effect
Good value for on suite bathroom however the social area was located in a laundrette, there was mould in the corner of the bedrooms, silverfish crawled the sink areas, taxis needed to get to and from west street (Main Street of clubs and bars). Head office were awful in providing information on rent and were almost unreachable. Lastly unless you leave your window open all day, the condensation on the windows leak onto the windowsill. Don’t choose here if you want a lively accommodation close to the nightlife.
One of the cheapest en-suite style halls within good walking distance of both Hallam campuses (15-20 minutes). The flats are very homely and a great place to socialize while also providing adequate spaces to work in your room. Each room has plenty of space for clothes and other belongings, including decent under-bed storage. The rooms are large and have big windows too, which helps you feel comfortable and not like you're in a prison! Staff are friendly and are very quick to resolve any issues you might have with maintenance and such. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms can sometimes have small silverfish in them, they're harmless, but I still smack them with a shoe just so there aren't as many! I chose this accommodation because I wanted a cheap en-suite room, the trade-off of having to walk 15 minutes into uni doesn't bother me at all, it's good exercise and gets me out the house! Aldi is also close-by which is a god send as a student!! Highly recommend living here!

Wasn’t bad halls, deffo good for the money and Shaun and Richard in maintance are lifesavers
Loved my halls! Value for money was great and a very social hall. Cleaning could be improved upon
Hated living here. Infested with silverfish. Not very social at all. Security very unreasonable at times.
Thoroughly loved it here, couldn’t recommend more, security were great, parking right outside my room, aldi at the top of the road, big spacious rooms with big ensuite, mostly lovely people and neighbours. It was far enough out of town to be a relatively quiet halls so you could get work done.
Great place and ideal for first years
Great place to live in 1st year! I’m here now and if I’ve ever had a problem, it’s been looked at in a day (sometimes even hours!) and fixed within a week. Staff are so nice and as it’s a small team, you know everyone. Rooms are huge for the price, best value I’ve seen, social spaces aren’t really used as it’s also for washing, but the group chat is always active and you can make friends easy! Love it!
Great space, not got a lounge area though and so the only communal area is the kitchen, although they are very spacious and look modern. The staff are all lovely and having security on site makes it feel so much safer! Loved living here
Basic and far away from collegiate campus however everyone is so friendly including staff who make you feel safe and at home
Overall pretty average. The best points are the size of the rooms and the parking facilities
Lived here during my first year. The only thing I wish I could change is that it is a abit if a trek out but you get used to the walking eventually. If something is broken it is fixed quickly, 24 hour security is also a plus. I’ve had friends who live in the forge and similar accomodation in the city who have said bramall is more value for money. The rooms are huge in comparasion to others and there is more than enough kitchen and cupboard space. The shop which is 2 mins away is useful when needing bread etc. Even when there is a football match on it is still a quiet safe area.
It’s a calm, intimate and homely place to live. If you’re looking for somewhere that is quieter then definitely choose Bramall Court (or Charlotte Court). Bramall Court feels like a home whereas, halls such as The Forge and Archways are more for the party aspect of uni... and well, let’s just say they’re not brilliant... Living at Bramall Court really improved my experience of moving out of home and into a different city because it doesn’t feel like student accommodation, it feels like a home.
Had silverfish in my bathroom that had come through the holes in the walls that water pipes came through, shower was moldy and parts around it were actually disintegrating. My shower also leaked water from the door that didn't close properly. My window did not close properly as did my curtains so I always had light coming through the window. One of the ovens in the kitchen didn't work and neither did either of the radiators in the kitchen. Security never made people coming in from a night out be quiet, and the fob gates that are there for 'security' were usually broken so had to be open constantly. Also no outside area apart from a few benches. Would not recommend for the amount of money, and location is not that great either.
lovely friendly halls with family like atmosphere as it is cosy and small. Fantastic security team, brilliant value from money, great location although abit far from the libs but a lot better than other halls such as forge, bedrooms are bjg, lots of parking, nice big kitchen, and all facilities close by.
Bramall Court is fantastic. Management are wonderful and really look after you, no matter the issue. Security is fantastic, 24 hours round the clock. Rooms and kitchens are comfortable and modern. Supermarkets are a slight walk but there's a premier 2 minutes walk away. Location is further out than most halls but it's definitely worth it for the parking and price compared to other halls which aren't as nicely decorated. Social life is the same as any other halls and don't let no common room put you off as no one uses the common rooms in the other halls anyway. Wifi is incredibly fast, no issues there. After seeing alot of the other Hallam halls and hearing about experiences I'd say Bramall is easily the best overall.
Such a good place to live! Cheap enough, only a 30 minute walk from uni and staff are really good too
Nice place to live, quite far out of the city so prepare to walk a fair amount. It is quite noisy here on a Friday and Saturday night but that is to be expected. It's not great for meeting new people but the flats are nice, a decent size kitchen and ensuite so the value for money is quite fair.cleaners only clean communal areas but they are well kept on the whole
Absolutely love it here, just a shame it's so far away from uni!
No outdoor space which is a shame in summer. The only real social area is the laundrette/pool table room. More social spaces could make this accommodation great. Aside from this, the rooms are excellent and the kitchens are good enough, despite not being very comfortable.
Good for everything except location and common areas
Little bit far out but asda and aldi are close for food shopping, any problems with flats sorted quickly and full security 24/7 is good. Small site so easy to meet people and loads of parking space too! Loved living here.
Good accommodation overall, but the only "communal" type area is the washroom - where no one speaks. If I didnt get on with my flatmates I would know no one
Bramall Court is further out than most accommodations but is cheaper and the rooms are bigger, it is close enough to shops and is modern. The halls are usually quite quiet.
Handy that all rooms have ensuites, but quite far away from other accommodation/nightlife
It was value for money however the location was next to a busy football club and surrounded by rough pubs: which meant very high walls. Was a 25min walk to either campuses as well!!! The kitchens are nice but the rooms are a bit basic and theres no lift!! we did our own cleaning. there was a sofa for two in a 6bed flat!
