When I first arrived to my accommodation it was appalling - heavy dust, limescale and mould in the fridge freezer brought multiple panic attacks and deeply affected my mental health. The so called 'team' at summit reception handled my complaints poorly often giving me broken promises or lieing straight to my face. An example of this is Luis from the night shift (who stated he was part of management) saying my flat was looked at and cleaned days prior. Fast forward to nearly 6 months since I moved in very little has been done to resolve other issues like constant drug use and Anti-social behaviour from neighbours who are violating their Tennant contract. Multiple emails containing evidence and complaint letters have been sent or 'forwarded' on yet I haven't heard back within the 2 week guideline for sending complaints. This is definitely not worth the thousands of pounds a student pays for rent nevermind the increased rent as of September so I'd avoid at all costs.
the room is nice but quickly you find there are a lot of cheap fittings and rush jobs. I first arrived and found a lot of Marks and stains in the room and the electrical fittings are really badly placed. having the shower switch 2inches from the floor by the bins? The extractor fan is non existent with heavy dust around it. Makes it hard when cooking fish because it quickly smells out the entire studio and requires me to then do a deep clean. The organisation of the reception is erratic at best. often messages never being sent and constant delays of maintenance because no one told the guy to come. on a positive note the space itself is nice and some of the staff you can have a conversation with come across pleasant. However I will not be returning to eastern boulevard as the price increase of £160pw I believe is excessive.
