Great management & staff there! Always providing support for me even when I struggled with paying the instalments. Replaced all the stuffs I needed, Jack from reception got for me a brand new oven, vacuum and extractor hood. Hannah helped me a lot with the instalments plan when I struggled, and Andra with Megan always provided such a smoothly booking process, all the team is great. Maintenance always coming to check and fix issues reported, my flat was in a good condition anyway, pretty quiet. Close to the campus but a bit far from the city centre and coach station (there a bus station 1 min away from the accommodation). A bit pricier if you wanna keep your stuffs over the summer in your flat, that’s a bit annoying all the moving in and out process even if you are rebooking same place for next year. I would recommend for the corporate providing some more affordable solutions for students to store their stuff in the room during summer, as not all their flats are booked for shortstay

I got delayed during my check-in but the reception staff member was kind enough to help me out and I had a smooth check-in experience.
We were initially a bit panicked. But once we reached here we were satisfied and it is nice
Had a great experience, highly recommended.

Receptionist Hannah helped me so much with booking summer accommodation. She showed astonishing customer service and helped me a lot. She is the best
Liberty Park has been amazing so far, excellent staff! Especially Hannah, she has been great! Always helpful
Some of the best staff members (Megan and Dave) you could ask for. Our kitchen door handle broke and even though the maintenance staff was not avaliable, they still tried their hardest to fix the issue.
Very good, Jack has the best customer service skill, he’s nice and always ready to help
Liberty park is absolutely great to live in! The location is close to DeMontfort Uni and the town centre, the rooms are nice, all the staff are exceptionally nice, always go above and beyond and are always up for a chat! As well the maintenance crew are brilliant at getting stuff fixed if anything ever goes wrong in your flat! Overall can’t say enough good things about this place!
Everything from the flats and the living spaces are well managed and comfortable. There is a good rang of appliances provided for cooking and preparing food on a daily basis and the living spaces are big enough to enjoy your time with a couple of friends and have a good time or just relax. The staff is exceptional. I have had some personal issues during my stay which have brought me down on multiple occassions, but whenever I needed help it was there for me. I want to especially thank Andra and Megan, as they have helped me the most and everytime I would have any questions, they would be the first people I would think to go to for answers, with the assurance that they would definetely have some useful information or advice no matter the case. It has been a very fun and pleasant stay and I hope to remain in Liberty Park for my next university years.
apart from the bathrooms, liberty is a nice place to live in. If the rooms were abit bigger too then that’ll be lovely
Very conducive and I like the space
Met a lot of new people I get along with
Amazing reception staff, always wanting to help you. Internet connection is amazing on wireless and ethernet (500mbs~) a really short walk from DMU and a costcutter next door with friendly staff. :)
Best place for student accommodation
Amazing facilties and really nice people and staff
Overall perfect couldn’t ask for better value for money it’s not to far away from anything and it’s right next to a Lidl so it’s perfect for a university acomidation
staff are so friendly and helpful, i’ve loved staying here
Fits really good here people are and are really friendly
having an amazing time at liberty park! the most affordable accommodation with a great location and staff, especially fritz! staying for another year!
The night security guards Abraham and Fritz are the sweetest and so kind!
Amazing security guards; Abraham and Fritz
Liberty Park is a really good place to live especially for the price they charge. To get your own toilet and all costs for only £120 it is a no brainer. Common room is very useful and a good place to spend time with friends.
Its great, i enjoy it here! Its really good value for your money!
Lovely and friendly place to live for a year Amazing staff with a 24/7 open reception to attend to any of your needs
It’s a good establishment with very friendly staff who always help as and when they can
The place is very good. The occasional slow maintenance responses but not crazy.
Good building very nice people and receptionists and very close to supermarket like lidl and near Leicester City football club
Liberty Park is a very nice accommodation. I like the people and the staff and it is a very homely place. The rooms are spacious enough and everyone you need us provided for you.
Great staff, solid location, no issues with flatmates
Great staff member, great ethernet
staying in liberty park for my first year was a good choice as it’s close to the city centre and close enough to the university of leicester
The staff members are great and I always have a good experience with them especially Samsun and his colleagues that are usually there with him.
Quite a nice experience, bit overpriced but feels like home.
Amazing service delivery. Especially with the reception staff. Of specific mention is Hannah P. She is very professional.
Liberty park is a nice accommodation with very polite members of staff. Jack at reception is always friendly and is nice to talk to. Liberty park is very close to DMU and not far from town. It’s located in a good area.
I have had an overall great experience living here. Super friendly and always ready to help staff. Big thumbs up to one of the staff called Jack, he is very friendly and approachable and has helped me sort my issues very easily. Great team working on site.
I would like to express my sincerest thanks to Jack, a staff at the Liberty Park, Leicester. He's always wearing a smile to all the students here. Also, he's very very helpful, never tired of answering my questions, in terms of accommodation and some other living questions since I am an international student. The most important thing is that he is super professional (the most professional member of management team at Liberty Park, Leicester without doubt) , he is able to provide the most precise information about the accommodation. I'm very pleased to continue to live here.
Everything was set up and perfect for when I moved in, reception staff and kind and helpful, room is a very good size for the price and the the ensuit is very good quality aswell
probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone
Nice for a final year, mattress could be better, wish fire alarms didn't go off every other night.
Staff are super helpful and friendly, especially Jack and Hannah, everything has been dealt with understandingly.
I’m enjoying living at liberty park. I like the location and everyone seems nice here.
It's great here. The staff are welcoming and friendly and engage in good conversations with us. And issues are resolve quickly
It's a lovely place, that I've stayed in for my second year now. It's a shame that the place suffers due to typical student behaviour, but the staff have acted well to manage that. Always lovely to see Jack P behind reception, lovely guy with a lovely attitude.
Nice area, good security & room space
Great security, friendly staff
Really good experience, the staff are lovely and help when needed. Good experience so far
Kind staff, ideal location to stay at.
The staff are all lovely and fun however some things could be resolved a little quicker. Also, once the fire alarm goes off once, it's a little persistent, which may be noone's fault but I feel like now is the time to complain.
It’s great, I moved from Canada. I had a great experience
felt very homely from day one and settled in almost instantly
it’s a wonderful place, staff are lovely and the facilities vary,
Liberty park is really friendly place to live, the staff are really nice and is a great condition
I really like living at Liberty Park! I’ve been here two years and booked again for my third year. I met some brilliant friends here, the staff are incredibly friendly and I love my room and flat. It’s excellent value for money, anything that’s broken gets fixed promptly and the security is great. Would recommend!
I’m currently in my first term of the tenancy and already I hate it here. From the FIRST day, where everyone moved in, the elevator broke in my block. This happened in September. It is currently December and I still have to walk up to the SIXTH FLOOR as they’ve still not repaired the elevators. Since then we’ve had NUMEROUS incidents when the fire alarm has gone off, and we have had to evacuate the blocks. Even in the early morning hours (3/4/5am). The bedrooms are small & the bathroom is claustrophobic, there is barely any space to move about in the shower. Feels like you’re in a prison. The distance from Liberty Park to the campus or the city centre is dreadful. Almost everything here is faulty. The only benefit is that PureGym, The Gym & Lidl is close by. If you can, find a better accommodation and stay far away from this hellhole.
Good accomodation if you go to de montfort university. Lidl near by too so food shops are easier. It however, takes a while to get to your room as you go inside you have to walk up then find your building then floor then room etc.
This is my second year of staying at Liberty Park and the overall experience has been really good! The staff are always friendly and ready to help. The accommodation has good facilities and is on a good location.
I don't regret having taken this residence, it is very well located in front of the university and even supermarkets, next to the river, which is very valuable in relation to other views that you could have. The staff is always very nice and any problem we have is solved as soon as possible. The only downside I could put is the gym because it has hardly any weight machines, most of them are cardio machines. But otherwise pretty good.
This review was written for the years of 2020/21. Due to COVID, this review will be far more critical than I initially expected. Some issues brought up might not be applicable to the accommodation in the years after COVID. Liberty Park was not worth the money, the GYM and the common room were both closed the entire year while still charging us the same price as last years. For those that have no use for a GYM, but still want their own bedroom and bathroom I suggest you look elsewhere. There is a noise problem depending on where you are situated inside the building. The sound insulation is abysmal, even with the window closed you can hear people talking on the streets and your flatmates in the kitchen. I recommend people book the south or east rooms since there isn't much traffic there and none at night, the washer and the dryer are serviceable, but would recommend to share washes with flatmates to save money. The best part about Liberty Park is the Wi-Fi which is great and stable.
Good accommodation and facilities
Been staying here for 5 months now and really like it, I was afraid when I read alot of reviews about the rooms and thin walls etc.. but I myself have had no problems. Onsite 24hr security makes the place feel safe, the walls although mentioned they are thin by others are not that bad. I barely hear my flatmates and when I do it is minimal. The housekeeping check every few weeks how clean the kitchen is which is great for messy flatmates and the availability to book again for next year in a discount makes it even more appealing. Only a 5 minute walk tops to dmu is great meaning even when it is pouring with rain you are not soaked by the time you arrive. It is also perfectly situated with a short walk to Lidl, just over the river and a 5 minute walk to the king power football stadium which is a great place to work plus they hire alot of uni students so make sure to keep your eyes peeled. I feel very at home here at liberty park and would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
the value of money for this is so funny. Don't go guys is the worst choise I've made
Staff work well with everyone and respond quickly. However, too many things often go wrong. Space of the bathroom is terrible, the kitchen maintenance is horrible and are dirty upon arrival. Lifts are dangerous. Not a very clean space either. Located next to the DMU campus which is cool but there are definitely more cons about this place!
It's not that bad. but could be too expensive. You have much better choice like CODE which is near to TESCO and applegate that located in city center and these accommodation have very nice room with the cheaper price. One more thing, the bathroom of Liberty park is look similar to the one on the airplane.
Living here was a bad choice. The walls are so thin so you'll hear EVERYTHING your flat mates are doing. They say you're allowed to use the car park for guests but you'll find yourself arguing with security about why they should be let in. And they can't stay overnight which is just ridiculous so you have to have guests park on the side of some random road when a safe car park is empty yet not allowed to be used. Pathetic. They rob you of your deposit for things that aren't even damaged and they just want to take even more of your money. The rent is so so high, you can find much better for your money. The bathrooms are ridiculous. If you're over 5ft, you won't be able to shower comfortably. Maintenance are alright but I've had a broken window vent all year. Was supposed to be fixed on my first week living there but maintenance never did come back with a new part. The windows are so thin so prepare to freeze in the winter. The heating is also rubbish as all my flat mates agreed.
Do not book here. Actual hell. CONS *Flat mates bathroom had a sewage smell for 2 days *toilets kept running *kitchen sink leaked twice *tap made a groaning noise *WiFi always goes off *been without hot water for three consecutive days *bathroom's are like plane toilets even down to the nasty colour *fireworks were being set off in the court yard and security said they could do nothing *courtyard rooms will get no sleep as volume outside is shocking *laundry always comes out the dryer smelling and wet *lifts jolt and doors take two attempts to shut *expensive for what you get *fire alarms are quiet and difficult to hear from rooms so heavy sleepers wouldn't be woken *kitchen had food remains when I arrived * windows are drafty and can smell the smoking area and I'm on floor 6 PROS *parcel system works
Had a great time, staff were lovely, always had time for you. I stayed on here it was so good.
Great accommodation with great staff that go above and beyond to help residents.
Never any hot water, sometimes water didn't even come out the sinks or weren't able to flush the toilets. this is absolute nonsense, now that I'm leaving they are trying to make me pay for stains on the wall that were already there.
Always loud. not had an overall good experience while living here.
Cons: Probably a little overpriced I feel, given the rooms and kitchens are very standard, however looking at a lot of other uni's accommodation, £117 a week isn't too bad in comparison. Also, courtyard can be very loud and the walls are NOT soundproof. Pros: Staff were the best I could have asked for, always willing to respond to any issues! e.g. I moved flats over christmas and they helped me all the way, and then they quickly gave my deposit back despite rumours they never do! The Halls are really sociable, lots of students and a large courtyard, they host social events in the halls common room which is nice! Overall 8.5/10 - clean, friendly, little bit loud, but thats uni all over
Love my stay at Liberty. Staff are brilliant always willing to help and are friendly .
Quite loud, but fairly could quality accommodation for the price. not much mixing but not too bad.
Reception are not helpful at all.
Good value for money, and good management of the halls- enjoying my time at Liberty
it's very small, first floor is same hight as courtyard = lot of noise at night. kitchen floors 2 and above are bigger than first floor
So expensive to live in a shoebox with rubbish events
Definitely worth it! Liberty Park takes security very seriously and will make you feel safe 24/7. The rooms are in great condition and come with an en-suite bathroom, which unfortunately takes a bit of getting used to, as it's a tad small. All-in-all a great place to live though and with the rewards you are getting for staying more than 1 year it's well worth the money.
Lovely social place if you're a first year. Everyone stands outside on the podium and gets to know each other
Made amazing friends that will last a lifetime
Simple and clean, Although a bit far from the uni and one of the more expensive options that the uni offer.
The rooms are basic and expensive compared to student housing, and the staff fraudulently claim for damages to be taken from deposits, not only does the work not need doing, it is not being done but students are still being charged. I was personally charged £30 per wall to repaint the kitchen which I later found out was not repainted, friends I met at Liberty park also agreed with this. Also the social room is terrible when compared to somewhere like Code, it is quiet and poorly run.
Might as well have been in Guantanamo bay... probably would have been better.
Absolutely brilliant place to live, made my first year a wonderful experience!
Out of the way, turnstiles are a stupid idea.
Good security and regular (but not too regular) checking of cleanliness of communal areas which is good when you dont want to nag/argue with your messy flatmates. The big courtyard is a brilliant social space and makes meeting new people easy in freshers week. It also makes it a great choice for smokers since its right outside your front door. Lifts and disabled access everywhere. Downsides, thin walls between flat mates and the courtyard can be noisy at night, especially during freshers week(s). Nothing thats not common to pretty much all halls. Most flats are unisex and are for 4-5 people. You can choose specifically to be in a unisex flat too.
Security were vile most of the time, I pay to stay there (over the odds) why can I not have people round when I want to. Disgusting!
Expensive for not great rooms and a strict management that checks your flat.
It felt like a prison and nothing was done about the abusive and distributive flatmates.
If you want to live with inconsiderate people who play music 24/7 with management who do nothing about it. This is your halls
Very expensive for small bedrooms space, good that you get en suits, living/kitchen area needs improvements, some flats are much better than others but they are all the same price which isn't good.
for what you pay for the rooms you'd expect more, the ensuite bathrooms are like pods. Cleaning? Of course we do that ourselves with weekly inspections and at the end of or stay so really we just do that. Common room was a bit tucked away, hardly ever used it. Management and maintenance were good, if you put in a complaint or had a question they were quickly answered. Unfortunately we had issues with our oven and fridge which wasn't the best. The best part was the podium that seemed more the social place than the actual common room
-very strict on letting friends in/parking overnight -the 'common room' was not good and therefore was never used -people left their bin bags in hallways and doorways a lot -a lot of deposit was taken for minor wear and tear -can be quite noisy but not social
the lifts are awful the amount of times people have been stuck in them, also everything moving in everything in the flat was filthy with left over food in them
Good halls, but the moving out process was horrendous. Don't expect your deposit back, even if you've left everything spotless!
People are good, liberty park as an accommodation is the wrost place to live, be warned you will not get your deposit back its money making scheme and they charge you for stuff which is not damaged
Good size living area, decent rooms. Has been difficult to get involved with some things due to distance from campus.
