I’ve had a really positive experience at the University of Nottingham. The campus is beautiful, with lots of green spaces, lakes, and modern facilities that make it a great place to study and spend time with friends. There are plenty of study areas, libraries, and cafes, so it’s easy to find somewhere comfortable to work. There are also lots of resources available for academic support, which makes a big difference during busy periods. Student life is another highlight! There are so many societies, events, and opportunities to get involved, whether you’re interested in sports, cultural groups, or trying something completely new. Uni Park Campus and Jubilee Campus both have a friendly atmosphere, and it’s easy to meet people. Overall, I’d recommend the University of Nottingham to anyone looking for a good balance of strong academics, a lively student community, and a really nice campus environment.

I’ve had a really positive experience at the University of Nottingham. I love our campus! It is very spacious and facilities are really good
Brilliant campus location and aesthetic. The facilities and staff are wonderful. Access to the wider city is great via the tram and bikes. The societies are brilliant. Only nitpick is the wifi, weak in some places and cant even connect in other places

Great services, maintenance makes sure everything is fixed and room service is convenient. Kitchen cleaned every day makes life much easier. Would recommend

I feel there should be more activities for students and there should be only one place where you get updates about every activity.

If the activities concern societies, we'd recommend contacting the Student Union, as they well be best placed to advise. There’s no support during the Christmas. That’s really bad for the international students and with no information of the teaching schedule, it would be helpful to release the syllabus for us earlier so we could have better arrangements for the breaks. Also the courseworks and assignments schedule are bad, things were sucked in a month but plenty of time after March. The works should be allocated evenly like also some deadlines could fall into the break between the semesters.

The experience as a student at the University of Nottingham will be memorable. They have several societies to explore and learn about different cultures. More importantly, they have a society of my ethnic origin which gave me the opportunity to feel home. Not only this, they provide us other opportunities to take advantage of for example, they have career service and student unions to explore different opportunities. They have all sorts of services to study and learn. Libraries are one of them.

I’m a new student so haven’t experienced the societies or careers yet. Communication has been really clear so far though, I really like the campus green spaces and I’m looking forward to the fresher’s fair.

Campus is very nice especially in summer. The SU (mooch) is not great for students. It's not that cheap and doesn't run that many events compared to other unis. The wifi can be bad but eduroam is bad literally everywhere in the world so...
I'm pleased you are enjoying campus and it's good you recognise the situation with the WiFi is not just a UoN issue! Sorrry to hear of your disappointment with the SU though. Have you spoken to them about any ideas you have for events?

The campus is excellent. The course and facilities are brilliant and there is a lot to get involved in- both academically and socially. There is lovely scenery and the accommodation is great. Transport is also good, and it is very easy to get into the city centre where there is everything you need.

The uni has cancelled many courses and clearly does not care about it's students or staff.
Hello and thank you for your thoughts. The number of course suspensions/closures is very small and targeted. In terms of the wider picture, these decisions are about making sure the University remains sustainable long-term, while protecting the quality of teaching, support and student experience for current and future students. For the vast majority of courses, delivery, class sizes, assessment and student support are continuing as planned.
WiFi is so bad. I wish the sports societies would be so you don’t have to have gym membership to participate

The campus is lovely especially when the sun comes out with loads of places and facilities to study or relax it’s a great combination of both. It is also close to the city centre in the heart of nottingham. It is a lovely place to live and study.

The uni of Nottingham has one of the largest campuses with so many facilities ranging from sports to labs. The central location of the uni also allows it to make use of all that Nottingham has to offer!

I LOVE Broadgate!! I never would’ve met the people who I am close with without Broadgate. I have met lifelong friends and the people I’m living with next year. I cannot recommend it enough

The WiFi on campus is s***. Poor quality. Societies and clubs are expensive.

Jubilee Campus is a modern, compact and well‑organised campus with good teaching spaces, study areas and cafés, and a friendly student atmosphere. It’s convenient to get around and well suited for business and computer science students.
