My experience has been good overall. Campus facilities are nice and there's a good range of study spaces to enjoy. Staff sometime do not reply to emails, and I feel as though, at least in my course, student feedback is not acted upon / listened to enough.

Beautiful campus - lots of greenery to unwind in or de-stress, a lake in campus and Wollaton Park right next to campus is a must-see. The David Ross sports centre is exceptional as well. Loads of clubs to join, the SU do great nights out too.

huge, gorgeous campus, great student union and many areas to eat and hang out on campus. sometimes the wi-fi in george green doesn’t work though.

Great university as a whole. Lots of societies so everyone can find a group that they can fit into. The students union is in a great location and there's so many shops/food stalls/social spaces

Great, many social events organised although sometimes they are cancelled or rescheduled at short notice

Great facilities and lots of societies to join. Rarely have issues with wifi other than it disconnecting between buildings.

The University of Nottingham is genuinely a great place to study. There’s a wide range of societies to get involved in, which makes it easy to connect with people and explore different interests outside of academics. One thing I really appreciate is the support services available, there are dedicated spaces i.e Portland building and the libraries ,where you can get help with your CV, SPAG (spelling, punctuation, and grammar), and other career-related guidance. These resources are super helpful and show that the uni really cares about your development beyond just coursework. If you live in halls, there are often halls sports organised that are both fun and a great way to stay active. It’s a brilliant way to socialise, and keep fit without needing to commit to a full sports club. Also, the campus itself is beautiful. It’s a great environment to study, relax, and just enjoy university life.

Great campus with a goof Students Union. Only thing I would say was a major issue is that the Wifi was always bad which was a nuisance at the libraries.

Cloister House in Nottingham offers a convenient location for University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University students. It's within walking distance of the city centre and has easy access to public transport. The rooms are functional, with en-suite options and shared kitchens, although some furnishings may feel a bit basic or dated. Security is generally reliable, with fob access and CCTV, and the on-site staff are helpful and responsive to maintenance issues. Social areas are limited, but the nearby city amenities make up for it. Overall, it’s a reasonably priced, no-frills student accommodation with a central location, ideal for those prioritising convenience over luxury.

It does what it's supposed but it seems like all the staff are overworked and it shows. Every facility apart from toilets and some social spaces require for you to pay to use them which is very discouraging for low-income, anxious students like myself.

Student services are great with many societies. Wifi is pretty good with some areas struggling for coverage

Experience with certain sports clubs wasn’t great, wasn’t very well structured and could’ve done with a senior member to help dictate and observe

The campus is beautiful, I love walking through it every day. I am part of the dance society and it has been an amazing experience; I have made many great friends and had so many fun experiences. The SU building is lovely to sit in and also has a great range of food options (my favourite is Portland coffee). I haven’t had much contact with the careers service other than on my course we have to complete work experience and they’ve been super helpful at sending out opportunities for undergrad work and explaining how to get good placements. I’ve never really had any issues with the wifi, although I know some of my friends have, but there’s a tech support team if you need any help!

If you walk a little too far out of range on campus the WiFi doesn’t extend that far but the WiFi is still good

I haven’t had much experience with the student union, however the societies they offer have definitely made my first year a better experience, as well as the general facilities such as David Ross.

The campus is beautiful and great to play sports with you friends on the green. Careers services have a very general knowledge but nothing specific or too deep. Societies are great and lots to choose from. The campus has a lot of unused buildings but when seeing other universities campuses this seems fairly common. The medical centre on campus has over a weeks waiting list for a GP appointment but if it is an emergency 111 is you best chance for an emergency appointment. They are very kind and helpful when you get an appointment.

The university has so many amazing societies , the campus has great revision spots and it is next to a beautiful park. The student union has a hair shop and a piercing shop I wish there was more there but it’s okay

I love the campus, so much greenery makes it a nice place to walk to lectures, but the libraries are often too busy, we could do with more study spaces I think. There are lots of varied clubs and societies which I like to participate in which is nice. I’ve been to a 1 to 1 careers appointment before to look at possible options for my degree, but only one real (extremely competitive) option was given which was a shame.

My experience at the university has been generally positive. The academic staff are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and most are approachable and supportive. Facilities such as libraries, labs, and study spaces are well-maintained, although availability can be limited during peak times. There are a wide range of extracurricular activities and student societies that help create a vibrant campus community. While some administrative processes can be slow or unclear, overall, the university provides a solid environment for learning and personal development.

Campus is lovely to walk around, some of the buildings are a bit outdated however, that is to be expected with the age of the university itself. Typical lefty SU and societies although a good range of sport and interest-based societies. Overall, nothing to complain about.

The dormitory is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The facilities are great, and the environment is quiet, making it perfect for studying and relaxing. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
