Overall byron was great. However I was in room E28 and I did not have an opening window. Aswell as this the ventilation in my room did not work, so I was left buying loads of fans to keep my room ventilated, I would also have to leave my door open to get air in. The room not coming with an opening window was not specified when I booked the room, which I think is pretty appalling. When i would use my shower, the steam would not leave and that would leave mould growing which made me unwell. My parents had emailed Byron but not much was done about it. read more

As mentioned, there are a small number of windows in E block that do not have opening windows however they are fitted with a vent boost. If you experience any issues with ventilation during your stay, we recommend speaking to the site team directly at Reception or via the Home at Halls app. All of the other windows can be opened but are fitted with a restrictor for safety reasons.
