It was an amazing accommodation. I was looking for an accommodation at the very last minute and applying for rental at Earlsdon was a very fast and smooth process. I gave them a call and went for house viewing the very same day. Paid my deposit the day after and got my key immediately after I made my payment. Had some technical issues with the building but the accommodation staff took care of it very carefully. Extended my stay for another year as a proof of how much I loved my experience here.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
It has been great and the staff make it amazing

I personally had a great experience staying in Earlsdon. Its close to university and close to all prime spots in Portsmouth, yet its a peaceful accommodation with zero noise issues. If you are a new student looking for something where you can feel at home, this would be the place. The accommodation manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
It was a really nice experience living in Earlsdon street for a year and the only reason I didn’t extend my stay was because I didn’t rebook my room and couldn’t afford the more expensive options. The facilities are great, always clean and the reception is really helpful and friendly. If you like big spacious rooms, it’s definitely the place for you and they really try to make you as comfortable as possible.
Do not stay here. Head office management do not care about your living situation or wellbeing, only about getting your money. The building is old and you will constantly be calling on maintenance to fix something in your room. There was a major flood this year and it took them 5 months to do repairs. They didn't give us a discount despite living in a flood damaged building that wasn't as advertised. Stay away
I loved living at Earlsdon, the location is amazing and was just 2 mins away from my lessons. The staff (Vicky, Lulia, Kayleigh, Peter and Claudia) are always so friendly and create a family-like unit. They also always go that extra mile with events and the general day-to-day, unlike some uni places I have lived in Portsmouth. I will really miss living at Earlsdon, and it's a shame that it is only available for students.
Thank you for your hospitality, nothing special to say
Being an international student, Earlsdon street was a great start to my university experience. This place was like home away from home, the management team always gave us gifts on holidays and was always attentive to our needs which made it easier to feel at home.
A great reliable company with very friendly staff that are able to accommodate for your needs 24/7. The rooms are of a very good size and the social spaces are very accommodating and are cleaned regularly.
My experience with Unilife this year has been absolutely magnaflorious (hey, if Shakespeare can make up words then so can I). Shortly after I first moved in, I remember telling one of my friends that I was “going home”. They were all like “What? You’re going back your home town?” But that wasn’t what I meant. Within the first month of University I came to think of my studio here as home. That should probably tell you all you need to know. The rooms are lovely, the location’s super close to the University buildings, and the staff are all amazing. Highly recommend.
