I really enjoyed my year in Greetham street as a first year in 2018-2019 and as it was such a big accommodation there were so many people to meet and become friends with, even if you just see eachother in the lift everyday!

Clean (upon arrival), good kitchen facilities and security team.
The building is right in between the high street and the road with all of the uni buildings on it making it perfectly located for everything. You can also get Uber eats and deliveroo to the building. However, I was in a flat of 10 in my first year and while living there I was attacked, along with a range of other issues such as vandalism and stealing in our flat. Management didn’t care at all, and when one flat caught fire they fined the people living there and merely told us to check our toasters. This building has the same cladding as grenfell and so the fire was extremely concerning. There is no parking and this building is more expensive than others in the area who provide similar amenities. One building built nearby has restaurant facilities and a gym for £10 more a week so is much better value for money. Also this building heated up horrifically so in the winter you’d be sweating and in the summer you’d be hanging out of the window to try to get some fresh air.

In first year halls I met my best friends and was very happy with my accommodation
Way overpriced for a room I could touch either side of if I held my arms out. Flats of 9 people with a kitchen that doesn't feel big enough.
My 10 person flat was great and forced me to make amazing, close friends
Best Student Accomadtion in portsmouth. Staff are actually really nice. Rooms are nice but it gets messy quickly. Bathroom is small but okay. Socially the run events in the common room and your flatmates but depends on what you want. Laundry is annoying at the start but easy afterwards. Generally a nice place but you'll thank me for this bring a heater and fan
Do not live here, super expensive for bugger all, trust me live in a house
Not here this year but was last year, and it was fantastic. Easily resolved maintainence issues, perfect bedroom and kitchen sizes.
The perfect place to stay in your first year, just be sure to keep your uni home clean and livable
Great location and a nice place to live
Very expensive for a tiny bedroom and tiny kitchen. I had 8 other people in my flat and we could hardly all fit in the kitchen at once. Location is quite good but the only supermarkets nearby is co-op and Tesco’s and they’re both expensive especially for poor students. Library is a long walk away which is annoying. Management don’t do much about any issues. It’s sociable as the halls is massive but seems to be a lot of crime in the area and people hanging around outside
