Trinity Square was the perfect first year accomodation for me, it is what is expected from a student accommodation but the staff were always extremely helpful during my stay and I met a lot of really nice people who have remained close friends. If I was to recommend an accommodation to a friend it would certainly be this one.

Excellent location near NTU city campus and right in the city centre for shopping convenience.

Amazing location for university and the nightlife! Met some great people, very happy experience. Staff on reception were also helpful and it was useful that someone was always there.
Good, everything you need is in town
Loved my room, the bed size was great and the room was so spacious, the social areas are very modern and nice to sit with friends.
it had been a good experience so far, the location is great and the service is great
Amazing experience worth the price
Was good location. People weren’t nice very clicky.
It is a brilliant location with good facilities. However I have had a few issues. In January, we were asked to move into a “newly renovated” flat in order to renovate the accommodation, however we were faced with many issues that made the flat borderline unliveable. Most of these were corrected after asking the maintenance team many times, however almost 4 months into living in this flat some haven’t been fixed. For example, none of the newly renovated flats have interior locks on their doors, which invades privacy massively. But it is a clean, good sized room and has allowed me to make many friends.
Maintenance issues are almost never resolved, hygiene in kitchen is unbearable and staff is unlikely to respond to complaints.
Cherie , Daniel and Maitane gave really good reception service. Quick and friendly. With very good intrapersonal skills.

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your feedback on our great team :)
Trinity square is your classic overpriced accomodation with poor maintenance, with some repairs taking weeks. The laundry services are also very expensive.

We appreicate your feedback. We would like to address and issues you may have had during your stay if you could let us know at reception at a convienient time. The laundry services are priced externally by the company Circuit however we will pass on these comments.
Really good location and accessibility people are always on reception

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your feedback on our hard working team :)
Good location, en-suites are okay, good for uni

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your feedback on our great location and ensuites.
Top place to stay with a solid location

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your feedback and agree our location is peerfect for NTU students.
Aaron is exceptionally great, kind, understanding. Best worker at studentroost. Staff in general are really helpful and friendly

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreicate your feedback on team member Aaron and the rest of our great team :)
Spacious rooms and kitchens great for socializing and meeting new people.

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your feedback on our generous room sizes and social aspect of Trinity Square.
Really good accommodation with extremely kind and good staff as well as that they have very clean and good facilities

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your positive feedback especially about our great team at site :)
Great place for those who want to go out in city centre, lovely people running the place and 24/7 care

Thank you so much for your review!! We appreciate your feedback and are glad our team are doing a good job :)
Unhelpful and hard-to-reach service, poor hygiene in kitchens, parcel delivery service is often disorganized and is handled with bad communication. But location is great, right next to bus stops and shopping centers. Bedrooms are big and have a large desk to use.
Okay, if you don't have any option
My experience over here was really awesome. I made new friends here and people are really helpful and kind in nature.
The location is good. Recently I received an email regarding shifting the rooms, so that has me worried. The place is clean and spacious.
I leaved from here on 31 May 2022. Still, I am waiting my deposit refund. They don't pay back to me. Many times, I write them, but don't pay! I don't advance here anyone!!!
Leila and Pearce are the best receptionists of all time
Wifi issues were not resolved as its provided by a Third Party and it resulted in a room change to give me better wifi connectivity. No communal spaces available in my building except a courtyard and laundry machines were problematic for almost the entire duration of the contract. Response from maintenance and reception for issues was extremely slow (5-7) days for urgent matter such as no light in flats or even hot water issues. All in all only recommend it for the location and the main building - the second building is quite neglected.
Would not recommend to anyone. Have had items taken from kitchen. Only plus side is location which you pay for but definitely would never recommend to anyone.
Good location and good room size. Good kitchen for pre drinking
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at trinity square with comfort at a time where we were unable to go out. Would highly recommend.
Probably one of the best accommodations for people and parties in notts, always stuff going on. Staff and security are always friendly too would highly recommend booking this accommodation for first year.
Best location for NTU students. I’ve never had a problem staying here and would recommend it to other students. Staff have always been friendly. The communal areas have always been clean and tidy.
Good housing close walk to Nottingham Trent university. Rooms were a good size and had their own bathroom, packages are well sorted and handled too
Trinity square, good customer service and all staff helpful
Old building, I was an international student that live in Nottingham Trinity Square during 2020 September to 2021. During this period, my room facilities always broken and not working properly. Every time when I phone the Trinity Square reception, it takes me 15-30 min to line connected. When I reported to the receptionist of my room problem, they always said they will sent a maintenancer as soon as possible. And the result is I waited for 4-5 hours for the maintenancer every time. According to what I said above, the building are old and the facilities are very easily to broken suddenly and it costed so much time to fix the problem each time. Bad management, when the room keep happened so many problem, I emailed and asked the staff to change my room. However, each time they are saying so many excuse to perfunctory me. As I am an international student, I need to use more time to study but those problem really disturbing my study life. Also it makes me felt unhappy and sad.
Really close to everything in the centre and rooms are bigger than most student accommodation. Bigger beds are a massive benefit too.
Great accommodation, loved staying here !!
Really good accommodation great location
Great Accom, lovely location!!
Great location! And very friendly staff
They very friendly staff and its location is great for students!
Poor management, useless staff, reception have bad behavior to the students. Being unpolite to international students.
Even if they give a free coffee voucher if we rate 5 stars, I will never do that. This accomodation had a very cheap quality for the price you pay. The only great thing is the location and sometimes party in the courtyard if you like to party. Otherwise those party take place every night even during lockdown, contrary to government restrictions, and they are very annoying if you want to study or if you want some rest of your room at a window on the courtyard. There is noise every night, and it is quite annoying. The rooms are small and bathroom are s***. There is always issues with the lifts. The laundry has been in maintenance for more than 2 weeks. And in top of that, maintenance team is coming in your flat without ringing. Which is quite annoying when they let your door open. I will advise you to go in an other place you will certainly have better for this price. I am very disappointed and I won’t stay here next year, that’s sure.
The accommodation is in the best location so close to everything in the city centre and walking distance! The staff are so lovely and the people are so nice. Would definitely recommend staying here! Very sociable and the bedrooms are spacious. The common room is a great space to study as well.
Only upside is central location. Poor facilities and quality of flats for the price, lifts constantly broken and never get fixed. Maintenance team walk in without warning all the time, rarely follow up issues - our boiler exploded and we had no hot water for 2 weeks. If the rent was a lot cheaper I would consider staying here, otherwise v overpriced for the experience you get.
the lifts are broken a lot which are hardly fixed in the cores but are quickly fixed in the main reception
Good location for a first year on city campus good night out location too!
Trinity was the best accommodation for my first year university experience. The common room is amazing to meet new friends, and the location is amazing. It’s right in the city centre and eveything is on your doorstep. I would recommend staying here
I’ve had the best experience! I’ve made so many friends and made so many memories. I highly recommend Trinity Square
Best accommodation I’ve lived at in the 4 years I’ve been at Uni.
Trinity is a great place to live, especially for 1st years. The location is amazing! It’s opposite the intu centre so you are quite literally 20 seconds from bars, restaurants and shops, and there’s also a gym group right underneath the building so location wise you can’t get much better! It’s definitely pricey but that comes with living so close to a city centre. The common areas are always clean but the cleaning of your flat is up to you. Internet works perfectly, I’ve never had a problem and the staff at reception are always helpful and friendly. There’s 24hr security and 2 locked doors before you reach any flats so I’ve never felt unsafe. It’s a large accommodation and is great socially, it has a new common space on the 6th floor which is a really nice place to work with friends. All in all it’s a really nice place to live and I’ve enjoyed my year here.
Trinity square being located right in the centre is the best thing about the accommodation and the only good thing about it. You can get so much better for your money, I have had so many problems with this accommodation and not a great experience at all!! The management is appalling, the reception team are incredibly rude and unhelpful they need to cheer up!! I’ve had numerous problems with this accommodation such as parcels being lost and not receiving compensation for months and months of ignorance. They will hand parcels out to anyone just from asking you if you know this person and then give it to you just from saying you do? They have maintenance in very often making a lot of noise and don’t even let you know about it during the last week of term which is usually exam week for most people! I was put in a flat and asked to move as I was wanting a more social experience and they wouldn’t allow it even though there were spare rooms available! The list goes on...
The accommodation is in the best location so close to everything in the city centre and walking distance! The staff are so lovely and the people are so nice. Would definitely recommend staying here! Very sociable and the bedrooms are spacious and easy to decorate. The common room is a great space to make friends.
Perfect accommodation for first years learning how nottingham and university works!
As an international student, I haven't come across any problem.
Was a good experience staying here overall, any issues I had with anything were dealt with quickly which was very helpful
Great all round accommodation. Loved every second there and it’s in the best location!!!
Perfect for if your based at city campus. Sociable place and rooms are great size!
Very good location and good size room
Really enjoyed my stay here- perfect for any one based on city campus!
Amazing staff, reception is always manned and a great social life here
this accommodation is in an excellent area. The rooms are well sized and the common room gives extra room for students to study.
the accommodation is in a great location in the city so does make the university experience much better. I've been able to meet so many people here in the social spaces such as in the courtyard and the study room. the sizes of the rooms and the flats do vary however they are all still great.
Trinity square Nottingham is the best student accommodation, the rooms are big and the staff are friendly. the location is perfect for nights out and its very sociable.
Staff are friendly. Location is great and has really spacious rooms
such a great location and really spacious rooms. staff are sound
best social life here! loved it
The location is good for first year student. The internet is mega fast and I haven't really experience any problem with it. The problem is they will NEVER clean the common area like other company would, so good luck with getting good flatmates. If your flatmate damage one or two item in the common area, studentroost will NOT investigate in who's fault is it and you will have to share the cost, so again good luck with your flatmates. At last, they will try their best to rip your whole deposit off with cleaning. If you experience the same, try to claim your deposit at: www.depositprotection.com It's the official government website for deposit protection. Just use the dispute resolution service, which is completely free. I just got back a email from the official organisation that they will pay back my full deposit of £250.
Trinity Square is in the heart of Nottingham and is so close to the NTU university and accessible to near by shops. And that’s enough of the good things. Trinity Square is not all what it cracks up to be. The flat had an issue in the kitchen where the stove was not working and so we reported it as soon as we found it. It took them a WEEK-or-so to actually have someone come up and fix it - So for a WEEK-or-so, the flat and I had to struggle because of how slow the response to our problem was. Another issue is that we had reported rodents in the kitchen and, yet, the accommodation took no notice. It goes from ground floor straight to floor 6 and there are 2 elevators. During my time staying there, only 1 was working and they had promised the other elevator would be fixed - it never did. There were some occasions where both elevators were out of use. Imagine walking 12 flights of stairs carrying heavy groceries. Some members are rather snobbish and rude and are incapable of helping
Trinity Square is the most INCOMPETENT accommodation I have ever come across. It is worth probably £110 a week as the list of problems you will face is endless. If you want any chance of getting a problem fixed you will have to genuinely have to threaten legal action as they don’t take students seriously. The staff are complacent as they think students will not pay attention to actual problems. The staff are also incredibly rude and ignorant - if you ask for a complaint number you will NEVER receive it and the email I provide never gets responded too. The property management is shocking - the only nice staff are the cleaners. The ‘maintenance’ is unreliable and requires so much patience (which is useless when it comes to genuine problems such as broken windows, bathrooms doors falling off etc). The on-site laundry services are abysmal, you may as well take your washing home every week to be saved from being robbed as the machine takes your money (and will not refund it). (PART 1)
I am currently in my second year of living at trinity square student roost and have already rebooked to live there again in my final year of uni. The facilities are one of the best I have seen and the staff are lovely and supportive and happy to help with any problem. I would definitely recommend living here !!

Hi, Thank you so much for reviewing Trinity Square! We're so glad you enjoy living here and that you've chosen to rebook with us next year. We hope to continue to live up your expectations :) Kind regards, Trinity Square Team
The cleaners are lovely, and the location is amazing; however, unfortunately the management is very poor, the lifts always break, security is poor, my windowsills leak with water and I have had many other problems. The front desk tries to be as helpful as possible but I just don’t think it is worth the money. Very good location if you want to be near the clubs, uni, food places and shops.
Fairly basic accommodation, only justification for the high price is the location.
Ain’t worth the money. Showers always broken and the lift is broken. I regret staying here
Laundry system barely works and takes your money without doing anything for your clothes. Internet is TERRIBLE unstable and not even 10% of the advertised speed. Outside barely gets cleaned is absolutely littered with broken glass and cig ends. Awful value for money, just paying a premium for location. Have seen better accommodations at places charging as much as £40 per week less. Absolutely regret choosing this place
Great location, nice rooms, good WiFi however the lift is awful breaks at least 2 a day, I’ve been stuck in it twice absolutely terrifying.
Lift is broken , other one constantly breaks , things stop working , not always clean , takes ages for things to be fixed , not good value for money at all for the price you pay you’d expect a lot more , would not recommend
This accommodation is absolutely terrible. My experience so far has been very poor since arriving here. One lift is permanently broken which staff do not bother to fix as their is another one, which also breaks frequently meaning you must climb 6 flights of stairs at least to get to your flat. Additionally, the washing machines no not always work but still take your money which is very frustrating. Water temperature in your room does remain hot/warm, meaning you have a limited time to shower with warm water. From time to time fridges do not work, and then the next day will begin working again but by that time some items may have gone off (Milk, chicken etc) which becomes expensive with no guarantee of being able to consume them unless you have them the same day you bought them. The location is good, that's about it. Not worth £150 per week at all.
The facilities are slim, with a washing service that fails to work more often than not (taking your money but not actually doing anything). One lift is broken perpetually, and they simply aren't bothering to fix it because there is a second, which does however break regularly, about once per fortnight. Provided TV in our flat had a broken screen on arrival, and the oven was dirty and uncleaned. The water is inconsistent from room to room, varying from ice cold to an unalterable blistering hot. The internet is terrible, does not even deliver 20% of its listed speed of 100mbps wireless most of the time, I have not seen it ever higher than 25mbps, even with the wired ethernet connection which allegedly should provide 200mbps. The connection is also inconsistent, giving latency and ping spikes, as well as disconnections, even in low usage hours. The buildings are understaffed. Upon moving in, keys which each student is supposed to have been given upon arrival were nowhere to be seen.
The lift is always broken throughout the building, and the rooms are definitely not WORTH the price. The charge a huge price just cause it in the city centre. I’d say look for a different accom close to town or even in town for a way cheaper price. Don’t take the L, I took loool
I love living it trinity square as it is right in the centre, so close to shops, uni and the night clubs! I would really recommend it for any 1st years as I have many so many friends here! My only complaints would be about the lift always breaking down and it taking so long for staff to sort through parcels.
Problems are dealt with lazily and with no urgency
There are six floor/twelve flights of stairs from the main reception to the accommodation level. There are supposedly two lifts from reception to the flats, one has been broken since I arrived in September, the second works inefficiently approximately 65% of the time. If you want to save on a gym membership and really enjoy paying for something which is in no way worth it, I'd really recommend it.
Staff are friendly and professional but problems with management meant issues with accomodation have taken months to sort
The accommodation was not what I expected at all for the price I was paying. It ended up being a factor that led to my decision of leaving university. I truly believe you pay simply for the location which in itself was not a good enough factor for the cost. One of the lifts was broken from move in day and the other broke several times whilst I was there. The stair case up to the sixth floor was never clean. Last weekend there was rubbish from takeaways and actual food left around. I was disappointed to find that the washing machine services were through a separate company and not included within the price of the accommodation. Having to pay £3.70 every time I wanted to wash my clothes was ridiculous when I know that other accommodation in Nottingham include washers and dryers in the price. I found that Trinity had very little in terms of social availability. I did not get on with my flat but there was no way for me to try and connect with other people within the accommodation.
Honestly, they charge so much, dont even have a working lift everyday meaning everyone has to take 6 flights of stairs to the first floor of accomadation. Some staff are incompetent and have lost parcels.(others are brilliant, there are some amazing staff but unfortunately not enough) As for social experience they dont care if a group of 10 guys in trackauits show up and smoke a load of weed right in front of cameras, and right near my door so my room stinks. Half of which dont live there. Honestly the only good things about this place is the Location, and the decent-ish wifi
The kitchen spaces use poor quality appliances with inconsistent electronics and even upon moving in the surfaces were generally grubby and dirty. The social spaces are not really maintained, the floor littered with cigarette butts, and ashtrays rarely emptied. The laundry system is the worst I have ever seen, with various machines taking your money but not even starting their wash/drying cycles. The showers do not provide consistent water temperatures, mine in particular frequently jumps to its maximum temperature, being very painful and once leaving me with a red mark down my side. Additionally the wifi, while of a high speed, regularly randomly cuts off the device using it, cutting off all connections for said device for periodic amounts of time, causing great frustration to people who require consistent connections for relaying data for purposes not only including personal uses such as music/media streaming, gaming but also when using cloud software for university coursework.
You don’t get cleaners for your kitchen and the lifts are never mended. Also if you complain about something it takes ages for them to deal with it
Very good took a while to get window fixed
Perfect location in the city centre with less than a 5-10 minute walk to NTU, food shops, retail shops and everything else a student needs. Pretty certain flats are meant to have a cleaner once a month for the kitchen yet this has never happened. One of the main lifts has been broken since before the start of uni (when visiting on an open day), with other lifts breaking often. There is a common room, yet it is quite small and not many students are seen using it. The WiFi connects the my laptop, yet on my phone it seems to disconnect every time I lock my phone. Overall, great location, but for the money being paid more needs to be done to justify it.
In desperate need of a big renovation which is why I don't think it's worth the money, despite the great location.
Ridiculous price for what it is. Poor maintenance. Personally had no heating for 2 months despite reporting the issue. Lift always broken, laundry card machine barely worked since getting to uni. The accommodation attracts a very introverted type of person. Lots of people having issues with flat mates. The only benefit of this accommodation is the location but then again, that’s all you’re paying for.
Unhelpful staff and annoying to book. Rooms and flats are really nice though
The price of the accommodation has dramatically increased. The washing costs have gone up. Not much has been upgraded to justify the high price. The group study/social room is hardly used by residents. The lifts are always breaking down and it takes ages to get them sorted. The post service is acceptable and there is a small amount of bike storage. The location is spot on but the high price for it is not justified.
No one cleans the kitchen area. Unlike all other Uni Halls
Lovely staff, and perfect location however the lift always breaks.
Very good location- close to shops, bars and very close to university. Lifts always broken though
Good location. Don’t respond to maintenance issues quickly and the lifts always bream
Alright tbf a lot of money tho.
A wonderful location, with lovely staff but an occasional issue with the lifts
Stayed here for 2 years now. Worth the money as the location is so good
I’ve lived here for 3 years and the accommodation is in a good location. The staff are friendly. Any maintenance issues are resolved quickly as well as quick post pick up and security 24/7
Room available (en-suite) immediately - for a male (flat of 2 boys / 2 girls) Contact leebestwick2705@gmail.com
Great location to live in, however definitely not worth the money. Only one lift works at a time, washing machines and dryers are expensive and barely work, maintenance people come in whenever they want including late at night with no notice, wifi cuts out a lot and is limited to a certain number of devices.
The location is amazing but there was a time when we were left without water for days without any compensation/help, very noisy building works at several points throughout the year and it gets unbearably warm in the flats. Other than that though I have really loved living here, the location makes it worth it and the room sizes are great with a decent sized bathroom
Very spacious, big beds, good size room and kitchen. When we arrived the halls were really dirty like they hadn’t cleaned it all summer. But once I cleaned it it was fine. WiFi is okay but sometimes disconnects. Washing is really expensive ! (Around £3.60/4.70). Closest accommodation to the uni and shopping centre. Close to Tesco for a food shop. On site security 24/7.
Went a whole week without hot water, on two occasions and it’s just march
To say it’s £1000 cheaper than that of the Clifton accommodation, it’s baso much better value for money, in the middle of the city for a cheaper price, you can go wrong
Put in a flat with no one in common, no effort was made by the halls to help us settle in, was basically guven the keys and thats it. Also had un- announced staff come into the room on several occasions.
Fab location, lovely staff, who are overworked with little training. If you can be patient with things not working (eg. Dryers for two terms, radiators for weeks etc.) and staff often not understanding systems and processes (poorly managed not their fault) then it can be worth living here purely because you can’t get more central location for city and studying. But you’ll have a few headaches if things don’t run smoothly (and they won’t!)
Guys my advice, do not stay at Trinity Square its horrible. I feel Derwent living was so much more better than Student Roost which is the current management team. The management team is so s***, don't even expect to order parcels, you are only allowed to get it after 8-10pm and if you come a day later they'll ask you to come later at 10pm again, its honestly so annoying, worst during winter. There are much better accommodations for similar prices, do not ruin your student life living here.

I’m sorry to hear you feel like you are having a bad experience with our site. You are able to come and sign for items from the postmen yourself and many of our students collect parcels throughout the day from reception. We do ask for students to let us know that they are expecting a parcel so we know what items to keep an eye out for and keep aside before they are handed over to security for collection times. Please know with our upcoming refurb we are hoping for a more effective method that allows for students to be able to collect their items throughout the day from reception while also keeping items logged and secure.
The interior is a bit old fashioned now and the courtyard is useless
Extremely convenient location and modern flats
I love it here, the security are a bit annoying but it's so live
