Internet was the best bit. Absolutely abhorrent value for money given its a flat for 8 people. The cleaning staff genuinely come in and see some scruffy parts of the social area and then immediately complain to the tutors. The tutors, as I said, this was sometime ago (2012) however the majority of those in RP were dead set on just milking the benefits of being a tutor and treating undergrads like petulant children. This is coming from someone who spent most of their time studying. Absolutely no social vibe at all, with very little to no space for meeting with other members of halls.

Horrendous halls. The only benefit being there location because fallowfield is where u wanna be. The rooms are the same size as prison cells and the decor is basic AF. Aka there isn’t one. The bathroom is also absolutely tiny and the shower makes the water go all over the whole bathroom floor and is a pain. If you want a decent night sleep for the whole year, don’t stay here. They’re SOOOO loud. Booming music 24/7 and you can hear people through the walls so much- you can hear people fart and have sex and their phone conversations. These halls are so expensive aswell!!! The campus team emptying the bins and driving around in their golf buggies are soooo loud and woke me up on queue every single morning. In a flat of 8 people I speak to none of them because they were all anti social and didn’t even go out once in freshers week. The kitchen living space is bleak and uncomfortable. There’s nowhere comfy to sit and it feels depressing so people ate in their rooms. DONT STAY HERE
DO NOT move here from the years 2018-2020 as they are building new halls directly behind Richmond Park and the construction noise is CONSTANT it wakes me up at half 7 in the morning and continues through out the day until like 8/9. Ridiculous especially that you’re paying 5k for where you live when there is a constant public nuisance outside which makes being in the halls very uncomfortable. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!
Richmond Park is one of the more expensive accommodation choices at the Fallowfield campus, but you get your own en suite and a spacious kitchen and a decent room so it's pretty good value for money. The rooms aren't huge but are a good size and come with a huge desk, chest of draws, wardrobe and shelving - pretty standard for a uni room but way nicer than the prison blocks of OP and oak house. In terms of location Richmond Park is in the busy student area of The Owens Park campus where there is Squirrels bar on campus and theres always loads going on in fallowfield and a huge Sainsburys, a Wetherspoon, Revs, Nando's etc- it's a very sociable area great for students. Richmond Park is pretty good socially but not quite as rowdy as Owens park or Oak house, so if you're looking for a sociable hall but also somewhere where you can have a bit of quiet and work occasionally RP is a solid option.
Although quite expensive, the rooms in Richmond park are a good size and the ensuites are pretty good too so all in all is worth it. The kitchens are great - 2 fridges and loads of shelves with 2 ovens and 8 hob spaces, they also have a large table for socialising which is perfect. The location is great - in fallowfield campus so there is plenty going on socialising wise, close to OP, oak house/ squirrels bar and all the rest, but also chilled enough to be able to get to sleep most of the time so it has a really good balance. Its about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop which takes you to the Uni which is ideal, and has nice courtyards if you're into the scenic stuff. Its self catered but a huge sainsburys about 5 minute walk away as well as tesco metro etc which is super convenient as well as a dominos and kebab king!!Cleaners come about twice a week to clean the kitchen and corridors which is nice. Overall great halls, social but can also sleep and in great location would def recommend
Large, modern kitchen for socalising but dark, more dated bedrooms. At quieter, nicer location on Fallowfield campus but perhaps less sociable than other halls.
Good social life because it's in fallowfield. Nice room and kitchen size. But slightly overpriced and the cleaners sometimes don't show up when they're meant to.
Really good for going out and having pre drinks and such. Green spaces around it are great for summer and although the rooms are smaller than some other halls they are worth it
fairly new buildings. lovely and spacious living space and ensuite.
in fallowfield (best place to be on your 1st year) which means you can party anytime you want but still can sleep at night and sometimes work in your room! best accommodation in fallowfield!!
People say Richmond park is anti-social, it is not, we turn up.
Large and roomy kitchen which is ideal for socialising, however the fridge's are slightly too small for 8 people. The table is nice and big however it would be nice if there were some sort of cushiony chairs or sofa to chill on as a social space. The location is great because it's really social and near to the other halls in Fallowfield but is also a bit separate so that you can do work or just chill out when you feel like it. Wifi is really fast, but better with ethernet cable so you don't have to log in every time.
Love Richmond park!! Prime location, great rooms (for halls) and really friendly staff
Its alright, overpriced in comparison to other universities to have a wet room. The kitchens good for pres though
really nice rooms and the en suite is nice to have. The kitchens are really good. However, the social aspect is not as exciting as oak house or Owens park.
