Pennine House Biography
At Pennine House you’ll be a seven-minute walk from De Montfort University and a seven-minute bike ride from the University of Leicester. You’ll be in the heart of Leicester city centre, with all the amenities that you need on your doorstep.
There are on-site laundry facilities open 24-hours a day and private and secure cycle storage. You can benefit from having WiFi and Sherpr available. There's a 24-hour on-site team, 24-hour CCTV and key fob access. All utility bills and contents insurance are included for your added benefit.
At Pennine House, there are various types of shared flats and self-contained studio rooms to choose from. All rooms come furnished with a bed, study area and storage. The communal kitchens are fully fitted with an electric cooker, fridge freezer and microwave with a dining area.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?

Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

it was an ok experience , however i don’t think i would rebook not really anything there.

Stayed here for the full 3 years of my degree, excellent location - city centre is on your doorstep and only 5 minutes walk to classes, good value for money. Communal areas are cleaned on a regular basis.
Secure but overpriced. Tiniest bathrooms you can't even stand straight in shower. Wash basin is smaller than my phone, just a formality you can't even wash your face without getting everything wet. Numerous times failed to provide services they charge for. Questionable wifi services, particularly in basement. So many rules that you have to follow sometimes it feels like you are still in your parent's house. Heater and exhaust in my room didn't work for an entire academic year despite numerous complaints, no body fixed it. I highly recommend you to find another place in that money you can get a far better place or atleast book a viewing before deciding to live here. If you are an international student and can't view it please don't book it. Decent size of cupboards. Mattress are quite old.

Really nice accomodation for students, the staffs are very Friendly and the quires are solved as soon as possible, very near to the Demont Fort University. Very near to city centre also, I surely recommend this for students

I have nothing but good things to write about Pennine House (Leicester) and the staff that work there. As a very reserved individual, I wanted somewhere calm, quiet & tidy. The rooms are beautiful, bright, and are very affordable (considering this is private accommodation). After stressful days at university, I always looked forward to going home (I very much considered it to be my home) and unwinding in my room, cooking in the spacious kitchen, and not having to endure noisy people. Great accommodation with a dedicated and friendly staff team, friendly and approachable Manager(John) always ready to ensuring you have the best stay. Would highly recommend this accommodation:)

This is the only best and affordable accommodation in Leicester. The rooms well furnished and very decent size comparing other accommodation. The highlight is this accommodation is very near to DMU. Personally I like this accommodation very much and staying here for 3 years will continue here until iam a student. The Manager is very friendly and helpful always addresses any problem immediately. There is 24 hrs emergency support too where any emergency issues is addressed immediately. House keeping maintenance is excellent and provide a hygienic living
