Haven't heard or experienced anything bad here and would 100% recommend. Only in first year and already know I'll rebook for the full 3 years at uni!

Getting to campus will be a breeze as Cardiff University is a few minutes walk away and the University of South Wales Cardiff campus is a ten-minute walk away. I've been living at Glendower House for 2 years and it has been an excellent experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, so much so that I'll be rebooking here for the next year, and for my postgrad. The building is clean and the facilities are great. The students here are all so lovely and it feels like a family here, especially as an international student, it feels like a home away from home. I'd highly recommend this accommodation to any future students!
Glendower house is a warm and welcoming home. The staff and students are friendly, it's close to the city centre and the environment is very pleasant.
At first, I had a positive impression of the staff. However, my friends and I later overheard her speaking negatively about some students (clothing, friends etc.) and colleagues to other students. We also noticed that some students assist this staff with tasks such as emptying bins at Glendower House. Surprisingly, some student even has her office key. While I have great neighbours, I'd prefer to trust staff members with keys rather than fellow residents. I believe this place could enhance privacy, professionalism, and minimise manipulation for a better overall experience. Despite this, I've enjoyed living here due to the good location, friendly students, clean environment, and overall positive memories.
This place is amazing, location is great, and the manager goes above and beyond whenever you need any help.
I was disappointed by Glendower House, everything was perfect when I first moved in. But in the past three months, our public facilities are often broken, especially the elevator. The elevator breaks down almost once a week, which is inconvenient for students living on high floors. On weekdays, elevators are often repaired within a day. But if it's a weekend, we'll have to wait until Monday for someone to repair the elevator. This is really inconvenient for us.

I am staying in Glendower House for the past four years of my university studies. The rooms are clean, very comfortable, and the managing team was amazing and helpful. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. It’s like a small community. I am an international student so when I came to Cardiff I didn’t know how the people are gonna be or how much fun I was going to have. The manager, Karen, make this experience for me easy and enjoys. She is the most kind, helpful and loving person I have ever met during my stay in Cardiff. I highly recommend this student accommodation for anyone studying in Wales. Either if you are coming for a six months or 4 years be prepared to make your room feel like being home.
Glendower is more like a home for me. The location of Glendower is perfect, it's close to all Cardiff Uni schools located in Cathays. Karen is the best, she is like our mom. Highly recommended.
The best thing about this accommodation is the building manager, Karen. She's very sweet and helpful, literally the best! The amenities and social spaces are great. However, the cinema room has been unusable for quite a while now. They should make it clearer on the website that there is no 24/7 onsite security, however, I haven't felt unsafe so far. Also, the room didn't match the pictures on the website (it was advertised that the rooms come with a tv and a couch but my room didn't come with any). Moreover, the wifi has been a bit glitchy during my stay and that can get annoying during exam/submission time. In general, maintenance issues are resolved very quickly (Richard is amazing!). Location wise, it is very close to Cardiff Uni and the city center, 10 out of 10 for location besides it being close to a railway (which can get loud if you have your window open). In conclusion, my experience so far has been a good one.
Glendower House? More like Glendower Home! Everyone in the building is so nice and friendly and I have created friends for life. This wouldn't have been possible with Karen facilitating events for us in which we all met each other such as Halloween parties. The location is absolutely perfect with it b being close to town and lecture halls. The property management is absolutely great with Richard fixing issues within the same day that it has been reported. Communal areas are sparkling even if there has been a messy party the night before and we have also had a pool tournament for people to get to know one another. I have been here for 3 years and would do another 3 if I could!
It's really nice accommodation! As an international student, I sometimes felt lonely in Uk, but whenever I went out, Karen will be friendly saying hello to me. That really let me feel at home! the frustration here is good, too. And it is near my class building. I really love living here!

The environment is very nice and clean
Glendower is a safe, friendly, comfortable and very well kept accommodation. Also great location from uni and town. I absolutely love the building manager, Karen! She is friendly, helpful and always supportive. She made my days better, even during the toughest time of uni. Great place to live! The social spaces are great, maintenance issues are fixed quickly and the staff is really helpful and friendly. The location is close to uni buildings and very close to city centre!
I’m very happy that I chose Glendower House for my second and final year of University. The space has made me progress in my studies. The location is very ideal as it isn’t far from town or the University buildings. The building manager, Karen is very helpful and is always there if you need anything. Glendower House is a perfect location if you’re studying in Cardiff University. It’s near the SU and main campus, and also a short distance away from the city centre. A little on the pricey side but Student Finance pays for it just fine. Bills are all inclusive and the WiFi gives me no problems at all. I've been here for 2 and a half years now. Can't recommend it enough!

Really lovely place to live, very comfortable and well situated, and Karen and Richard are always so friendly and helpful.
Glendower house is nice. It is very close to the city center and the school. The indoor facilities are complete. Perhaps for safety reasons, the windows in the room cannot be fully opened, which may lead to a little heat in the room.

Amazing place to live, Moved into Glendower house at november and Karen made sure i felt welcome immediately, always something to do whether that is the cinema room, play room or the gym. Karen is amazing, helpful and always makes sure to greet you when entering or leaving the building which helps make it feel like home. Cannot recommend enough.
Glendower House is really a splendid student accommadation and I had a fabulous experience of living here. It's a small building so students here are just like a big warm family and get along quite well. All the staff work for this accommodation are pretty nice. The facilities and functional rooms are full and new as well.

It's a great place near Cardiff University with an excellent location near the city with adequate room size. The price is quite expensive compared to other accomodations however. Management wise, there is no one on site in the afternoon and night, so if you locked yourself out, you would have to wait for a security from another city to come and open the door for you for 30 pounds. We are also not allowed to open the windows fully for the summer, therefore the ventilation you would have is small which runs a risk of overheating in your room. I would say there are better accomodations with cheaper prices and better on site management out there than here.
I booked and paid three years in the accommodation, but because of Covid, I could only complete a year and a half. The building installations are very complete and the location very convenient. The property management have been always very attentive, helpful and social. They made a huge effort on moving all my belongings this last year to the new room I booked. At all times I felt I could completely trust the new staff, which was a relief. The technical service is also very helpful and efficient, the same day you ask them for help they try to repair everything you need. Both of the property management staff (Karen and Richard) make a huge effort on making you feel just as home. I am extremely pleased to them! A very different subject is the inflexible position of student accommodation landlords of not refunding some money if there is any problem in occupying the room, even if it is a global pandemic, like other accommodations have done. In my opinion, is unfair and even unethical.

Glendower is a great place to live. It is within walking distance to Cardiff University, supermarkets, banks etc. The staff and residents are very friendly and welcoming.

The accomodation is in the perfect location in Cardiff for any students. The price is slightly higher than average, but it's worth every pound. It is always clean and quiet. The staff is lovely.

This is a very good student apartment. The staff are very enthusiastic and patient. Help me solve many issues! The location of the apartment is also very good, very close to the city centre, very convenient for travel and shopping. It is also quiet at night. I am very satisfied with it.

Glendower House is great. Despite the communal areas being closed for most of my stay, I have made friends with lots of people. Also like to mention the staff. The maintenance man and property manager are not only great at their jobs, they are also very accommodating and are a pleasure to speak to. I have had no issues during my time here and would highly recommend the accommodation to both local and international students.
The accommodation is at a prime location near to Cardiff law school and the city centre; it’s about 5 mins to both Tesco express and sains (closer than crown accom IMO); plus the manager Karen is so lovely literally any problems you have she will try her best to help; the wifi is a bit slow at times but other than that 10/10 There’s not that many people in the accom building so it’s not too noisy

It is an accommodation perfectly located, close to the city center, Bute park, to the students union and to other uni accommodations. It is perfect if you are looking for an all in one. It has different spaces such as a cinema and game room to spend time with your friends. The study room is also great, it is really nice to study there, and you can also access the gym which is well equipped. On the other hand, studios are great, you have all the space you need. I would really recommend it. They look brand new, really good conditions. Also if you need to study or a bit of quiet to work you won’t have any kind of problems. Finally, it is really helpful to have people as Karen working in the building , she will help you with anything you need and will solve any of your doubts at any time.

I think Glendower house is really geographically located, just five minutes away from the city centre. it's a little far from university, there are a lot of online classes this year so this would not be an issue for me this year, and Reception is very enthusiastic. And they are actively solve the problems in life for us. Anyway, I'm very happy to live here.

A unique extraordinary place for students who looking for a quiet and clean place. The especial key point hear is that the manager try to create a friendly atmosphere. She is so kind and responsible to the residence. This place also have a great experienced maintenance team, which always solve any technical issue in your flat immediately. During this pandemic, the Covid measurements followed in this place at the highest standard.
I an am international student and I absolutely recommend Glendower House to any students who are finding a place to stay in Cardiff. The house is only a 7 mins walk into the city centre and it is quite close to many areas of the University (It was only a 11 mins walk to my department). There are many facilities in the building including a cinema, game room, gym, lounge areas and study spaces. As someone who is living abroad in Cardiff I am confident that you will be very well taken care of here as Karen and Richard (Who are in charge of running and maintaining the house) are both very friendly, accommodating and caring. Karen (she runs the place) is usually at receptions every week day and always ready to offer help (even if it's just to have a chat!). I am really enjoying my stay here at Glendower House and I am sure you will too.
The managing lady Karen is very friend, responsible, and always ready to help all the students in the building! The location is very close to Cardiff university and the city centre, very convenient to everything. Higher floors do get better view and less noise! Book fast and you won’t regret it.
