De Montfort is an amazing uni, it gives students so many opportunities from placements to trips abroad and almost always has something fun happening around campus for students. Alongside this, you can tell that your tutors are passionate about their subject - they're always there to lend a hand and offer support with the course and personal issues. The campus is only a few minutes walk from the city centre, meaning that we never miss out on what is going on around us, and allows for local businesses and schools to visit the uni. (Though the school visits never tend to interfere with regular uni life.) The WiFi can be a little dodgy at times but that tends to be fixed quickly.

I’ve had a really positive experience at this university so far. The quality of teaching has been excellent, with knowledgeable and supportive lecturers who are genuinely invested in helping students succeed. The courses are well-structured and engaging, making it easier to stay motivated and interested in the subject. The campus has a great atmosphere, with a good mix of study spaces, facilities, and social areas. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in clubs, societies, and events, which makes student life feel vibrant and inclusive. I’ve also found the support services to be really helpful, whether it’s academic guidance or wellbeing support. Overall, it’s a welcoming and encouraging environment that has made my university experience both enjoyable and rewarding. I’d definitely recommend it to prospective students.

University has made effort to provide a lot of clubs/societies and fun activities. It is very fun and I have met a lot of new people. There are always people on campus willing to speak to you so i feel very involved

Studying cybersecurity at De Montfort University in Leicester has been a positive experience overall. The campus facilities are suitable for studying, especially for technical courses that require labs and computer access. There are many clubs and societies available, making it easy to meet people and get involved in various activities outside of class. The Students’ Union is very active and supportive, and it adds a lot to the student experience. The careers service is helpful when looking for internships or advice about future roles in tech and cybersecurity.

The Tannery is a fantastic student accommodation! The rooms are modern, clean, and really comfortable, and the communal spaces make it easy to meet new people. The location is perfect—close to campus and local amenities. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Definitely a great place to call home while studying!

I think this place is very good as it’s closest to my university which makes going to uni and coming back very easy
The Uni does had good trips involved with certain trips and some lovely tutors. Have a decent range of support when it comes to mental health situations.

I have been a resident at Lumis for over three years, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the very beginning, Abid has been incredibly helpful and supportive, guiding me through everything from booking to check-in. Whenever I’ve needed assistance with my room or maintenance issues, he promptly escalated them to the team to ensure quick resolutions. He even went out of his way to help with my move-in, and on multiple occasions, his great support has made all the difference. It’s because of this exceptional service that I’ve chosen to renew my stay for another year. Abid truly provides top-notch quality and care, what a great guy! I absolutely love everything about Lumis and highly recommend it to students.

My experience over the past 4 years has been amazing. From the support of the university lecturers on my course, to the careers team helping me secure a placement and being part of the dance society which has enabled me to make lots of new friends.

DMU it’s an amazing university with lots of student support and lots of different students from around the world. I love my nursing course im doing and meeting lots of new people. The staffs are amazing and supportive.

I have had a fantastic experience here. The staff truly care about the students, often going above and beyond to provide guidance for onward studies and helping us secure graduate jobs or placements. Their support has been a highlight of my time. Additionally, the facilities are top-notch. The Wi-Fi connection is exceptionally reliable and fast, which has made it easy to stay productive with my studies while also enjoying entertainment without any lag. i am a final year student at De Montfort University and my experience was enriching. The campus is vibrant and well-equipped, with modern facilities that cater to all academic needs.All the members are knowledgeable and approachable ,always willing to help students succeed.
DMU carries out block teaching where you study one block of two related modules over a six week period, followed by an assessment week during the seventh week. For me, although there is a huge amount covered in such a small time frame, this is more suitable than having 7/8 models I have to revise for at the end of the year. Staff are very friendly, inviting a practical element to engineering, in addition to a theoretical one.
The societies have been fun, and the facilities useful.
My experience at De Montfort University has been very positive. The university has a supportive and welcoming environment, with modern facilities that make studying comfortable and engaging. The campus is well located, close to the city centre, which makes student life convenient and enjoyable. The lecturers are approachable and helpful, and there are plenty of academic resources available to support learning.
De Montfort university has provided me various platform that helps with my studies. Platforms like library in the campus and online library in student portal helps me helpful resources to learn and get knowledge and help with assignment less stressful. Teachers are very friendly and helpful . Whenever I have questions I ask them and they help me till I am satisfied. One of my favorite facilities my university provides is that I have access to laptop or computer if my person laptop is not functioning properly with free WiFi. I got to attend few career events organized my the university which was helpful to decide what I want to do in the future after graduation.
Merlin heights is a great place to live. The staff are so nice and always going above and beyond. Sabine, Oliwia and Tom are genuinely caring. The rooms are spacious and affordable.

DMU has a lot of opportunities and great respurces that are available to students to make sure they have the optimal learning experience. DMU also has a great well being team and have some great polocies for making sure everyone is safe and getting necessary support.
The university is quite large and full of people, which initially made me feel a little anxious. However, the environment is very pleasant and comfortable. The classrooms are well-sized — not too small or cramped, and not too large either. The lecturers and classmates are very friendly and always willing to help. This makes the learning environment feel warm and welcoming, and it has helped me feel much more at ease.
Nice university to attend. The reason for the review is because although I'm aware of helpful resources available I've not really made full use of them. The course I'm attending has been very educational and has aided me in making what I want in a career a reality.
This campus is huge and very pretty. It has so many building facilitated for a variety of courses and a huge library. aplenty of social events that occur throughout the year, with the vast majority of staff being so great and supportive.
I’ve had a great experience staying here and would 100% recommend it. The value for money is really good considering the facilities and support you get, and the location is perfect, close to uni, shops, and transport. The property management is excellent and any issues are sorted quickly. Cleaning is always kept to a high standard, especially in the shared areas. The social spaces are modern, comfortable, and great for both studying and chilling, which really adds to the social experience and sense of community. The WiFi is fast and reliable, which is a huge plus for studying and streaming. The staff are honestly the best part, Cordelia, Gabby, and Samira are all so friendly and helpful, and both the day and night staff are amazing. Special shoutout to Sean on the night team for always making the place feel safe and secure. Overall, such a positive, welcoming place to live, I’m really glad I chose it!

My journey has been amazing at DMU. The seminar activities, workshop, being part of campus activities has boost up so much confidence. As an international student I was somehow afraid if I would be able to cope up here but all my module leader and seminar tutors helped me in every step. I am really looking forward to explore my opportunities coming on my way and highly privilaged to be part of DMU.
DMU is great, the staff are amazing but the social atmosphere is a bit weird, there seems to be a lot of people who aren’t taking things as seriously as they should
