Best University I have been studying at, my evaluation comparing with LBS, Warwick, and Bocconi.
I come from China, and studying at the University of Bristol has been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. From the first day I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported by everyone here. The staff and lecturers are not only professional but also genuinely kind and caring.
Really enjoy the university and the city. I have particularly made close friends through sport and arts societies who have been excellently funded and supported by the university
All staff are caring and everything is based on a well-structured planning.
The teachers are very friendly, the classmates are also very friendly and polite, and there are often activities in the school. The school environment is large and clean, with many self-study rooms, many clean toilets, and elevators in the school.
Many areas to self study and many facilities. Great support for course and other things.
Clean, safe in Marlborough house—friendly staff, great WI-FI, perfect study vibe, highly recommended
Great and very helpful, need more transport tools
So many great study areas to choose from. Careers service is excellent, lots of support and opportunities to talk with them. SU is well organised and provides lots of activities throughout the year.
Heyy there! 😊 I’m having an amazing time here at the University of Bristol 🎓 The course I’m enrolled in is honestly beyond my expectations — super insightful and interesting! 💡 The teaching experience has been wonderful, the staff are really supportive 🤝 and the whole environment feels so warm and welcoming 🏫✨ I truly feel at home here ❤️ I’d highly recommend everyone to come and explore this place and the university at least once — it’s totally worth it! 🙌🇬🇧
Lots of options outside of academics, multiple study, social and sports spaces. Great location within the city
Loads of clubs and societies to get involved with but the SU doesn’t support clubs very well. Engineering facilities are very good with many different labs across different buildings.
Studying at the University of Bristol is both challenging and rewarding. The courses are engaging, the city is vibrant and student-friendly, and there’s a strong international community. Although the workload and living costs can be demanding, the supportive environment and exciting opportunities make it a great place to learn and grow.
Very good campus and facilities
My university years were a transformative period of immense personal and academic growth. It was a dynamic environment where I forged lifelong friendships, discovered new passions, and was constantly challenged by insightful professors.
good! The location is excellent and the service is good, except that the express delivery is not very convenient.
I am a postgraduate student ,It is a school which really good
The accommodation conditions and front desk service are both excellent, and the location of the apartment is also very good.
Very enjoyable experience and helpful staff

The room is Very good. And there are many activities.
Great city and activities run by the SU all around the city. Lecturers and facilities haven't been dissapointing aswell.
I am a postgraduate student in Finance and Investment at the University of Bristol. From the very beginning, I felt warmly welcomed — the staff were patient and helpful during registration and student ID verification. The Welcome Week activities were both fun and informative, and I appreciated the enthusiasm of the student union and volunteers. Classes are now in full swing, and the lecturers are excellent. With great learning facilities and an inspiring academic atmosphere, I truly feel supported and valued as a student here.
The atmosphere of Bristol is very nice and friendly with lots of very nice places to study and also many events.
very good view, very friendly campus, but some staff might not very kind.
Good staff especially Nic Kaisa. They are very nice. Good location.
There is no microphone to enlarge volume when professors are speaking in a large classroom. It’s hard to listen to them clearly, especially for students who have to sit in the back row.
I had very good experience in the university with various society all the students in the uni are so cool and they speak to everyone in a jovial manner and the bristol is very colourful city with various kind of people and there are so many food shops with variety of cultures it is very peaceful and I personally feel very safe to be here in bristol. And again my uni experience is so good in here with new adventures so, till now the welcome week and welcome fair has been completed it was so good the organisation the student union is doing the role so good had a wonderful and new experience in here.
I’m really enjoying my PhD research at the University of Bristol. The support from my research group and the academic environment has been excellent, making this a great place to grow as a researcher. However, I feel that student accommodation is quite expensive, especially for international students. I hope the university can provide more affordable housing options and increased financial support to help with high rent costs. Overall, it’s been a positive experience, and I’m grateful to be here.
It’s an amazing university with so many opportunities to broaden out and explore extra curricular activities. It feels like it’s such a nice community at this university.
Beautiful campus, aesthetic city. Staff and student union is very friendly.
Everything is amazing. The school has rich activities and friendly staff. It would be great if you could provide some part-time jobs or scholarships.
Love the vibe of the campus, and Bristol is a wonderful city.
My Uni life has been great so far, and I'm really thankful for all the clubs, services, Student union and professors for making it happen.
all great, had some problems connecting to wifi.
I am lucky to be at an accommodation within walking distance of everywhere I need to go, because as a city university the buildings are all spread out. At first the hills seem daunting but you quickly get used to it. I like all the buildings, which are modern and clean, and all the staff have been very friendly.
I came from india,i thought it will going to be very difficult but the environment and everything was fantastic for me,
Good everything will work hhvgv
Really great atmosphere, lots of walking and hills but definitely worth it for the amazing facilities!
Attending the University of Bristol has been a really rewarding experience. Academically, the courses are challenging, but the professors are knowledgeable and approachable. I’ve learned a lot, and the environment pushes you to think critically and independently. The campus itself is beautiful, blending historic architecture with modern facilities. The libraries and labs are great, and being in the heart of Bristol means you’re close to everything the city has to offer: cafes, events, and networking opportunities. Student life is vibrant. There are tons of societies and clubs, so it’s easy to meet people with similar interests. The Students’ Union organizes events that help make the social side of university enjoyable, and there’s always something happening in the city.
I havent experienced anything to complain about while being here.
A great university with a lot of history
Good university and great doctors
It was a great experience studying here. The staff and faculty was very was very friendly and knowledgeable. The campus was well maintained.
The decor is very nice, clean, and the service is excellent. There are many free facilities in the apartment for everyone to use.
I wish there were more information for students in terms of "what's on" in Bristol.
Great lecturing and facilities with wide range of student life opportunities.
Great University, big campus and excellent student health services
Great uni clubs and whatnot, great counselling too
Studying at the University of Bristol has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The academic environment is both challenging and inspiring, with lecturers who are not only knowledgeable but genuinely passionate about their subjects. What I appreciate most is the level of support available — whether it’s academic guidance, wellbeing services, or career advice, there’s always someone ready to help. The campus blends historical charm with modern facilities, and its location right in the heart of the city makes it easy to enjoy everything Bristol has to offer. There’s a real sense of community here, and being surrounded by ambitious, open-minded students has truly motivated me to grow both personally and academically.
I feel very happy living in Bristol and studying in this University!Tutors are so nice and the study environment is so good!
Structured and practical course
This student accommodation in Bristol is an absolute gem! The staff are incredibly welcoming, making it feel like a second home. Nestled in the heart of the city, the location is unbeatable. With weekly fun activities, it's not just a place to live but a vibrant community to thrive in.
Clubs and societies were hit or miss. There were loads to choose from, which was great, but some were way more active than others. It really depended on who was running them that year. I tried a couple and had fun but it wasn’t a huge part of my uni life. Careers service was better than I expected. They had useful workshops and the CV feedback I got was genuinely helpful. I used them for interview prep once and it gave me a real confidence boost. Worth checking out earlier than your final year, something I wish I’d done.
I love the city and the uni buildings. The university in a very inclusive place. The support system in the uni is really amazing. The teaching structure is very organised.
An excellent university, with excellent teaching staff, facilities, academic and social opportunities!
Range of campus facilities including multiple libraries, a sports centre and other study spaces. Multiple societies that you can join. Helpful and engaging student union and careers service team. Stable wifi most of the time, depends where you are on campus.
There are numerous campus facilities that help students settle into university life.
The university of Bristol provides you with lots of opportunities.
Best value for money accommodation, great study and common rooms and there is always something happening here!
Love this Uni, everything is perfect ❤️😍😍😍
Facilities are fine. Could be better
Good experience and would totally recommend
Very close to city and campus at affordable rate
I liked the uni. Especially its campus
I think it's generally good, but during finals week or busy times, the infrastructure is always inadequate
Overall good, however quality of wifi and thereby ability to do work is terrible sometimes.
i have loved every bit of university, when people tell you “those are the best years of your life” they really didn’t lie. Dreading the thought of leaving next year but i’m so grateful for the experience i’ve been lucky enough to have!
This is a wholesome University, very nice community and overall great vibes.
I found Bristol to be an exciting and interesting university with professional, enthusiastic and down to earth staff.
Beautiful University, amazing night life. A lot of things to do
I live very comfortably here. The biggest advantage is that it is very close to the school and the indoor space is quite large.
Welcoming and suppportive- good responses from staff
super good love it people are nice and social facilities are great
Good overall. Could have better range of societies but not bad
There are lots of nice spaces around the university, which makes walking to and from lectures an enjoyable experience.
Good first year - lots of opportunities for extra curriculars… student groups have let me meet lots of wonderful people outside of those on my actual degree as well!
Good good good good good good so so good
Good experience for me! I join the dance club everyone are so nice!!!!
It’s an amazing experience being here, when you know you’ve someone don’t say you’re going back to hostel but home. It’s because of how good you feel with the people around and also the staff who sometimes are like your elder siblings.
Internet service in the college can be improved
All are good. WiFi classroom and everything
The facilities were convenient, the staff patient and friendly, and everything was great!
No complaints about the uni itself other than that the support for freshers could be better, as starting university can be incredibly overwhelming and all the events only added to that - having schemes like other unis where the upper years are assigned to freshers and guide them through the week would have really made a difference to my freshers experience
I love to read in here, it is a good university to chose.
It is a very good university..
Completing my postgraduate studies at the University of Bristol was an extremely exciting experience. The overall experience was very good, and most of the teachers were very knowledgeable and kind, especially Professor Ai-Ling Lai, whose teaching style I really enjoyed! However, the professional abilities of some teachers were a bit disappointing, and they did not seem to match the professional image of the University of Bristol. Overall, the experience of studying at the University of Bristol will be a memorable and unforgettable wonderful memory in my life.
very good people and city Teacher and staff are very friendly
I love university of bristol, and I love all social life!
Marilou helps me to pick my heavy parcels She is so helpful!
Great university. Haven’t felt student union presence as much as I feel I should have. Thank UoB :)
Very good university with many student unions
Love our university good facilities
Love Bristol uni however the WiFi can be seriously unreliable campus wide (including accommodation)
Very proud of its elite reputation, but counting on it for everything which makes an open dialogue and critique difficult to raise. Teaching is incredibly varied at Sociology. The structure of units often messy, and inconsistencies between units. Academics usually more engaged with their own ‘’marginalised’ position as academics rather than students’ rights and respect for their payments and basic rights like appeal and genuinely blind marking.
