What are the top reasons for choosing Brunel House?
We spoke to Unite Students to find out more:
1. The eco-friendly building is a former Victorian hotel and is conveniently located a short 10-minute walk from the University of Bristol campus.
2. When wanting to get out and about you can make use of the Bristol bus station, which is a 10-minute walk away or you can head on over to Park Street, Brandon Hill Park or College Green.
3. After lectures, you can hang out on the bean bags or sofas in the common area and watch TV or challenge your neighbours to a game of pool or ping-pong.
4. The private gardens offer a tranquil space to relax in as it boats murals from a local artist and is home to the wildflower meadow, bat and bird boxes, bee hotels and even a log pile sanctuary for reptiles and insects.
5. To make your stay as convenient as possible there is a study space and vending machines.
Rooms:
Brunel House offers students independent living, as the modern and light studio rooms are fitted with an en-suite bathroom and kitchen and can be easily booked online. If you are looking to stay in an en-suite room in a shared apartment you can get in touch with the UoB accommodation team.
First of all I want to accent that location-wise it’s located perfectly between the city centre and the university (i.e. easy access to studies and for leisure stuff/cafes/restaurants/supermarkets etc.), on a walking distance from train station (good for students living not far from Bristol, easy travel to home on weekends). Staff’s very friendly and always ready for help, even on non-working hours; in the night-time there’s security over the lobby, so a stay’s safe in all senses (for instance no drunk weirdos can come over the building as they do in a city centre quite often). Building’s freshly renovated and I personally never had any issue regarding maintenance, but as far as I know if even maintenance issues arise they’re being solved in a very quick period. And , most importantly, price-quality ratio’s very satisfying. So, I’m gladly recommending staying at Brunel :)

I've had a fantastic time living in Brunel whilst studying my Undergraduate Economics course. The social space always allows for good group study sessions as well as a fun game of pool. I've also had the pleasure of consistent support from the staff - especially Giorgia who always greets me enthusiastically.

Brunel is a great accommodation for people searching for a city central environment with everything as close as can be. It is all very modern and walking distance of many shops and bars. With great access to college green and the cathedral, a lovely space to sit, a campus aspect to city Uni life.
