Eduroam (wifi) is most people's frenemy, so far its treated me alright.
Very good , always enjoy walking round the campus, very clean and green
good overall, could improve sports facilities. Can open swimming pools and more badminton courts.
An incredible uni that values equality and diversity and green spaces around campus! I couldn’t ask for a better place that feels like such a community
many different clubs and societies to join
The campus is good with most key building being close together. WiFi can be temperamental at times but is usually OK. The students' union is brilliant.
I have had great experience with societies, and made the closest friends there. Student union is always a safe place with fun activities on and the campus facilities are fab with the library and all the cafes.
Everyone of the staff is very supportive. The clubs are fun and engage with the social aspect of uni life. I am also impressed with the careers service as they provide plenty of support. The best part is the nights out; student union provides plenty of social events that are fun and allow interaction with other students.
Reading is perfect for someone looking for a less intimidating experience at university, it is perfectly designed to accommodate for everyone and the teaching staff make sure everyone gets the support in lectures and learning that they need.
Lots to do, with great variety
This university offers a well-rounded student experience that I would confidently recommend. The academic environment is strong, with approachable lecturers and solid campus facilities including a gym and library. Student life is equally fulfilling, thanks to a vibrant social scene and a good range of clubs and societies. The location is a huge bonus as well, sitting close to the city and giving you easy access to everything you need. To top it all off, the career support on offer is outstanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend this university to any prospective student.
The campus is great, easy to navigate and always clean. WiFi is good is everywhere so you're able to study anyway at the university. There's lot of societies to join and the student union is great.
only issue isn’t a campus thing, but eduroam is awful. as a whole i love campus
I was not part of any clubs or societies this year, however I will definitely join something next year as I have heard it is very inclusive and a fun experience.
the student union is really proactive
The wiffi can be unreliable at time but on the whole works well. In general the flats are quite quiet however noise does carry through from the corridors and some room on the ground floor lack privacy curtains which would be beneficial so people aren't looking into their rooms all the time.
Lovely green campus with lots of space to hang out with friends in the summer.
Campus is good, some bad experiences at union that’s not the uni just the people out that night
Signal can be iffy for some spots on campus. E.g first floor of library where most of the computers are placed. Trying to send a text, make a call or use your data there is borderline impossible.
Wantage has been great; I love the greenery where my friends and I sit down to eat. Additionally, the food has been great and easily accessible for me every day, making it easy to balance my work without the stress of cooking. Nothing saddens me more than the fact that I have to leave this accommodation behind next year. Overall, my experience has been great. From having the best memories with my new friends to now having to say goodbye to Wantage. I will truly treasure Wantage forever, and would recommend it to forthcoming students. the warmth and memories that I have had the pleasure of making in this accomodation are truly forever.
Amazing, I’m glad I ended up here to study at this university
Overall pretty good as there were many events and lots of time to have fun
its been a very fun and interesting year so far with lots of opportunities and support on campus and across the facilities
Could have more social events. The campus is beautiful and facilities are very good, but quite expensive.
My whole uni feels like a second home. Every building, lecture hall, and corner holds memories I’ll never forget. From busy mornings to late nights, it’s been full of laughter, lessons, and growth. I love the atmosphere, the people, and the journey it’s given me. This uni will always have a special place in my heart.
Really happy with how green the campus is
Pretty good university, has practically everything you'd need close together, and actually feels like a nice place to study at.
clubs and societies are always very well advertised to join in freshers and refreshers. students union is always sending out emails about events going on, and the instagram account is quite active. internet is fine, but its eduroam so a little dodgy at times. campus is pretty good, food places can be quite expensive though.
The campus is nice and green, never dissapointing. The wifi can be difficult to connect to and unreliable. Welcome activities and events in general are quite good
As an exchange student here for a semester, the study abroad office actively organised activities for us to join and blend in. Teaching staffs were nice too!
Overall, UoR is fantastic. There’s always lots of events going on as well as constant support from a range of people
I love Reading Uni, and really think that it is the place I was meant to be. It is very welcoming and I especially love how green the campus and surrounding areas are. I was able to make some great friends through my course and societies and I feel very settled in Reading.
Facilities like the library have a large range of books that can be used for all types of academics, it also contains many places to sit so that you can work on assignments.
Very easy to get around campus and I also appreciate how green and sustainable the university is as well as the services they offer.
i love visiting campus, going to the library and meeting with friends to study. Not much to complain about!
It is quite nice, the campus is really green.
the uni is brillant, good place to be.

I love the Campus, the green space is elite and it really is beautiful!

Very good. The staff are very friendly.
Good few years meeting great people
It has been an amazing experience and I cannot wait to start part 1 as I am in part 0 due to foundation.
It’s good not to bad cool school
Great university with a diverse range of students and the rowing is great
One thing I really love is the green campus as it's so enjoyable to walk around in.
Great place, good pubs. Close to train station
Love it here. Came back for a masters and then a PhD. Great campus. FTT department forever
It was a great experience for an undergraduate degree
Is this for university, no not really.
Great uni. campus is lovely and courses are fantastic. love the Students Union and the facilities
My experience at the university has been wonderdully thrilling the campus facilities both measure the balance of being ancient and mordern due to the unibersity also being 100 years old but that dosent mesn they dont update their facilities everyday with great facilities for study and leisure. The student uniion is eventful and fun with so many events The careers service are very helpful in instructing you hoe to preare for a job and the intenet and wifi are ver consitient. The only thing i can give a negative to improve on is their protectuon of lgbtiqia students as this is a problem due to their new rule that transgender peiple in here can suspend for hatecrime unless its direct..so for anyone who is lgbt and wants to come. The school is acceptuong not in a pr way at all but still be careful
It's pretty good, and the campus is lovely!
I love University of Reading so much!!! The campus is really big and eco-friendly. The lecturers are magnificent and you learn new things every single day!
The university offers a great variety of activities.
my experience at Kendrick Hall has been nothing short of amazing the employees that work there are incredibly nice and super helpful the are is clean and fortunately nice and close to town which proves to be very helpful and the employees who i like the most are named Becky and Lilly
The WiFi is not good at some of the old building
Good university, the Henley business school is good
Great staff especially Daz. It is a nice place to live.
University is generally good and cares about its students. There is an active social scene and generally functional student services.
great place to stay clean, safe and well located special thanks to maria and for being so kind and helping
The staff working here are so kind and helpful, they provide us will everything we need. The place is safe and secure especially for students that are under 18.
I had a very good experience at Crown House. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The environment is peaceful and suitable for students. Maria was especially helpful and kind throughout my stay. She is very professional, always ready to assist, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Her support made my experience even better. I would definitely recommend Crown House to anyone looking for good student accommodation.
All around pretty good, enjoying my year.
Love it yay. Such a lovely campus to walk around and love the space.
Good uni good time good facilities London road campus is pretty
Good standard uni. Facilties are aight,
i enjoy it here a lot. They are all great
Great place to be and very safe
Decent university experience for me personally
I would rate my overall experience at Henley Business School, University of Reading very positively. The academic environment is supportive and intellectually stimulating, and the teaching staff are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in students’ development. I particularly appreciate the opportunities to engage in research, discussions, and collaborative learning, which have significantly contributed to my academic and professional growth. Overall, my time here has been both rewarding and enriching.
It’s very nice the all experience is very unforgettable.
Amazing Staff, amazing facilities. Would recommend !
Great university with a great campus
Beautiful campus, friendly team
It is a really great place to live and the staff are really lovely and helpful, small and cosy so there's no crowding
I honestly fell in love with the university. the greenery, the lifestyle, the university life, the campus- it all took my breath away. The staff and students are wonderful and nice, the faculty are amazing, the clubs are diverse, and the campus is huge!
Since joining Reading University in September, I have been amazed with the focus it has on proactive thinking in regards to the environment, wether it be the high accessibility of bins around the campus or the surrounding wildlife that helps keep an immersive atmosphere, as well as provide the feeling that the campus has been purposefully integrated with the environment. This makes the short walks to lectures feel much more enjoyable and help to focus my mind.
I have really enjoyed my time at Reading University; the campus is beautiful, and I am thoroughly enjoying my course. Wifi is great across the whole of the campus; the only time I may face issues is when FaceTiming friends and family. Students Union is brilliant too and has everything you need, as well as hosting lots of events to keep the campus community connected.
As a part-time postgraduate student, the university has been very welcoming and all of the teaching and facilities excellent. I took one taught MSc module last semester and it's probably the best teaching I have received since leaving secondary school. I have not engaged much with the SU, clubs and societies or the careers service as of yet, but from what I can tell these all have a lot to offer. My only engagement has been with a weekly running club within the Meteorology Department which has been a great opportunity for work- and non-work-related chats. I didn't have time to be involved, but the Meteorology Department pantomime also seemed like a lot of fun and a great way to improve postgraduate student cohesion.
I enjoy the campus, large green open spaces and the social spaces on campus are great
its pretty good, could be better if the wifi on campus was improved and if there was more places with accessible printers.
Lovely University, but some societies are less active. Students have the chance to bring these back to life, so maybe this will improve in the future. The careers service can help with jobs while studying as well as when you have graduated
The campus as a whole has been great and a good opener into university life. The help and support available has also been great and apparent with the cleanliness of halls and the internet speed helping greatly with university work and life. Joining the kayaking society has also helped me develop my kayaking skills and make new friends and connections.
It’s a good uni I would recommend
The location of this business school is terrific. The environment of the nature surrounding the campus promotes student wellbeing, something I missed in the London university I went to for my undergrad. This combined with the warmth of the staff members and the quality of the course truly brings an environment conducive to learning and development. The experience here definitely trumps over the experience in other universities.
The university Whiteknights campus has many buildings which are open to having societies in. There are a vast range of societies, and if there isn't one present then it is very easy to start it up yourself. The wifi is good when it works, but eduroam can sometimes be very difficult to connect to.
The buildings are unique, clean and functional to their purpose. Campus is designed in a interesting way where its more complex to slowly learn your way around. Social aspects are really good, always new opportunities and ways to meet others. Wifi is adequate
Lovely campus, good support systems in place for everything sector of uni life. Great student nightlife and connection opportunities.
Good campus. Some international events are good.
Amazing career advice from Henley Business school. The campus is lovely to walk around and and experience as a student and there are a lot of events held at the Students Union suitable for everyone!
I’ve had a positive experience living in Childs Hall at the University of Reading. One of the biggest advantages is the location it’s very close to lectures and key campus facilities, which makes getting around easy and convenient, especially as a first-year student. The hall has a friendly and social atmosphere, making it easy to meet people and settle in quickly. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the shared spaces were generally well maintained. It’s a lively accommodation, which is great if you enjoy a social environment.
Great uni full of amazing people. I love the opportunities and how local it is to town aswell as Home.
Pretty fantastic all round. Campus is one of, if not the best in the country (got the awards to show it!) and is pleasant to walk around even on days I don’t have classes. The many leisure facilities like cafes are well stocked, maintained and great for hang out or study, especially Mojos in the Student’s Union. All provide student jobs too. The careers service offers several skills awards (RED Awards) completable during your time at the university, as well as a huge variety opportunities required to make up the award. The Reading Internship Scheme is a massive highlight that many students use to get specialised industry experience alongside study that pays and isn’t overwhelming on top of your course. The Union is incredible - the building, facilities, and staff - in the way it works for students and staff on so many levels, I’m very grateful for the support they offer at their Advice Service drop ins and the constant events (especially sober ones!) they have and clubs and societies.
eautiful green campus that feels calm and relaxing. There are good food options on and around campus, and the town has decent nightlife with bars and clubs. It’s not a huge party city, but it has a nice balance of greenery, social life, and places to eat.
I am in my first year of university, and I can proudly say that this university has offered so much support and activities to help students acclimatise to university life, such as arts and craft events, where I have met new people
The facilities on campus are good - there is an amazing library where you can study, However, the library is often very full and it's practically impossible to find seats most the time. Definitely need to get there super early in order to get a seat. I've not actually joined any societies or clubs, but from friends who have done and from the information I've looked at, there is a good range of clubs. However, I have contacted SU to ask how to revive or create a new society and I have not been answered even though this was a while ago. Again, I'm yet to use the careers service but from what I've heard and seen, this is a great service. The wifi is hit and miss on campus. It is typically okay for studying but it often disconnects or refuses to connect at all, which can make things a little bit difficult when it comes to studying or using resources during lectures.
Overall a good campus uni. The facilities are and the teaching standard is good too. Loads of opportunities for fun whilst at uni and then career focused stuff after. Good that it is a campus slightly away from the town as Reading itself is mediocre and expensive.
Starting university at the University of Reading marked a really important turning point in my life. Before coming here I was struggling a lot with my mental health and I did not expect such a big change but being on campus surrounded by supportive people helped me more than I ever imagined. Living with my flatmates and building close friendships gave me a sense of stability and belonging that I had been missing and joining the Egg Society helped me feel socially confident and connected. The library became a place where I could focus and feel calm especially when studying with friends which made even difficult days feel manageable. The Students Union and campus spaces always feel welcoming and full of life which reminds me that I am part of a wider community. What makes Reading special to me is that it gave me more than an education it gave me friendship support and the space to feel like myself again and because of that I am happier healthier and hopeful about my future.
