I’ve met very friendly teachers, and even though my English isn’t very good, they’ve given me the courage to speak up and use it.
Great university facilities for study, quite beautiful and plenty of places to unwind nearby.
Excellent accommodations, but very big, more maps across the campus would be great for us international students that just arrived!
I like the university, i like the friends and people i have met though lectures tutorials and societies
I think my university is very good.
Studying at Glasgow has been wonderful thus far! I’m in 3rd year now and things are ramping up, but I feel well prepared for my future knowing the work I’m putting in here is being supported by the staff and student community. The location of the uni is great and everyone enjoys the park that connects to the university in the warmer summer months. Sports facilities are good and there’s a society for everyone here. I’m very happy to be a student at such a diverse university.
I love my experience here! Main building literally looks like Hogwarts, and other buildings are well-equipped. Student life is very diverse, with tons of sports, clubs, and events to participate in. Great career services, from little details like CV-tweaking to planning your career. Best university!
I like the University building, museums restaurants, and coffee shops—the facilities for students including gym, study room, and meeting room are nice and beautiful. Alos, the university location is perfect and easy to access from different way. There are multiple subway stations , and bus stops.
Great place to meet friends or go out for food or a drink. The campus is massive as well but it just means more space for everyone
Staff have been extremely supportive and it is a friendly and encouraging environment for learning.
Honestly a really nice campus, very clean and taken care of which is very nice. The only complaint is that I have to stay later for labs and whatnot but that's around the time the WiFi decides to not work which is annoying.
The finest university With lovely scenery And friendly people I'm very fond of it
It is a really good university with many opportunities for students to join.
A wonderful school with a deep history. While there are some older buildings (particular for those for in arts and humanities) that are a bit rough around the edges, they also have a charming character that makes it such a privilege to study in an archetypal Scottish city like Glasgow. People are friendly, there are plenty of societies to join and events to hit up, and the unions are solid! There are some wifi issues on campus, particularly for those who try to use eduroam on certain models of phones, but it's otherwise stable enough for doing assignments in the library or classrooms.
A nice apartment, especially managers are very nice and supportive, they are one of the most reasons why I have stayed here for 4 years. Highly recommend to reduce the rent though.
I've absolutely loved studying at the University of Glasgow. I first came here in 2020 for my undergrad, having to start studying in the middle of the pandemic (as if it wasn't scary enough to start uni already!). The range of online events by the university and the societies was fantastic, and I felt so welcomed despite being in the midst of social distancing. I suspected it would be even better if starting a course under normal circumstances, and when starting my postgrad, it was confirmed. The range of societies is great - anything from Shrek to whisky to psychology to cultural societies. Everyone has been very welcoming, also in purely academic circumstances. If there's anything that isn't working, e.g. if you experience issues with your course or mental health, there are many options available for you as well, such as friendly student support officers, counselling services, students representative council etc. A bonus is that the university and location is very beautiful.
The university is good. It provides a great selections of courses and the lecturers are concise. Some buildings are a little drab and clearly need refurbishment. The wifi, like all universities which use eduroam is abysmal. Especially when we now rely so much on the internet for studies, this needs improvement.
Great university in great city to explore
Tony is a very nice person! He is a friendly and helpful staff member who made us feel really welcome. The house is very clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is excellent — it’s close to public transport, shops, and restaurants, which made our stay super convenient. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely come back again!
Sociology staff are excellent, and the course is fascinating the campus is beautiful
Good staff good campus. Everyone is nice
Best place to be for your uni!!
Campus is pretty nice, lots of shops near it for convenience, overall pretty good.
Pretty good school, wifi is s***, not even on main campus usually lol
Good buildings, slower internet
I connected to the Wifi once with my students' ID and password and subsequently, I don't need to login anymore. It connects automatically. I also get weekly newsletter from the careers service to check for part time jobs and opportunities that are relevant to me. There are also many clubs and societies to choose from. I love the University of Glasgow and I am sure you will to.
Its been a month here, and I really love everything. All the facilities provided are excellent.
Really nice place to stay! The building’s modern, clean, and in a great location for getting to the subway. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Definitely the best student accommodation I’ve stayed in, and the best I’ve seen.
I love the experience I am having here and the course is very much aligned to my career goals and aspects. Although it does get tough as an international student, if you manage time, everything becomes manageable/
University of Glasgow ensures inclusive environment for every student. Students get exposure to the diverse cultures and communities across the world. The beautiful campus along with the availability of huge number of postgraduate courses, placement opportunities etc made this university top notch.
It is a pleasure studying at the University of Glasgow. My time till now has been nothing but wonderful. Though the classes are rigorous, you gain knowledge of great value. The professors are helpful and always available to listen to your concerns. The campus is beautiful, capturing the essence of Scottish and British architecture. The university offers great facilities and is on top it's game.
Home away from home actually it is…Laura gave a very good guided meditation..
Great uni with nice staff. It takes some time to travel from city centre.
everything is ok not amazing but definitely not bad
10/10 experience, the support they give the students is really big and they are very flexible
It's lucky to be one of the students in UofG!
I am a graduate student, and I booked this place through the University of Glasgow's official website. The experience has been excellent. The location is very close to the university, just 5-10 minutes to reach any classroom, and the dormitory is on the main street, so there are streetlights no matter how late you come back. Additionally, it is very convenient downstairs, with a Tesco supermarket, a Chinese supermarket called Aijia, as well as a Boots beauty and pharmacy store, and delicious hotpot restaurants. Finally, what I like most is the staff member Beth. She is very kind, meticulous and careful in her work, highly responsible, and can make you feel warm even in a foreign country. The residence also hosts many free events such as pizza parties and free drinks, which I really enjoy. When you first check in, many gifts are even given. I am very willing to recommend this place to everyone.
studying here has been a transformative experience. Its blend of history, diversity, and social purpose makes it more than a place of learning—it’s a community of thinkers and changemakers. Academic standards are high, with passionate lecturers who encourage independent thought and connect theory to real-world issues. The Gilmorehill campus is beautiful, though some older buildings need improvement and study spaces can be limited. The library and Learning Hub are excellent, and the atmosphere fosters collaboration and curiosity. The student body is diverse and inclusive, and as a mature student and community advocate, I’ve always felt respected. Support services can be uneven but are compassionate when accessed, and Glasgow’s vibrant culture adds to the experience. Despite some bureaucracy and growing pains, the University of Glasgow remains a place that nurtures intellectual depth, social purpose, and personal growth—a space where students can truly become who they’re meant to be.
It was a dream being here, I would love to write the review of UofG, one of the best school in the world, It still feels like I am in some movie
The University is a mix of both modern and old architect with resemblance of great research that happened here to on-going research that can revolutionise the world. I feel really honoured to be a part of one of the most reputed Russell group, feels like home even though I am away from home.
As a new international student, I was very nervous to enter the university. However, the staff at the University of Glasgow have been so accommodating from all departments around. This ranges from career advisors, international student advisors, and course advisors. The wifi could be better, especially in the chemistry buildings but the clubs and societies run well but could be better at updating and connecting with their numbers.
Living in Glasgow has been a positive experience for me. The city is not very large, but it has a strong cultural atmosphere, with unique museums and music venues. Compared to other big cities in the UK, the cost of living is more reasonable, and transport and shopping are quite convenient. The weather can be rainy, but overall the city feels welcoming and is a good place for study and life.
The clubs, societies and student unions are incredibly diverse and active. The facilities are also usually extremely good. There are some regular issues with Wifi on my devices but that's not common as far as I'm aware.
Campus is great but it's often really crowded. There's not enough places for everyone to sit and eat or even do work at common areas. Toilets at older buildings are tiny though and not the cleanest. Food is kinda expensive too. Very good and diverse variety of clubs and societies. Haven't been to the student union yet but I heard it's really good with a lot of facilities. Career service staff are nice and helpful. Internet can get slow at times and takes awhile to load.
One rainy Tuesday, I was rushing to a lecture in the main Gilbert Scott Building. The corridors are a magnificent, ancient maze. I confidently took a shortcut, only to find myself in a tiny, dead-end courtyard I'd never seen before. Standing there, utterly lost, was another student clutching a map. We looked at each other and burst out laughing. "Trying to find the Time Chamber?" he joked, referencing the university's Hogwarts-like reputation. We eventually found our way out together, proving that sometimes the best part of the degree is navigating the glorious, confusing castle itself. It’s an experience you truly can’t get anywhere else.
I have never been in a student care program like the University of Glasgow before!! They are kind enough to address students' needs.
I have study at 2 unis (3 campus) in DE & FR. This one is compared to the others the v best one. The learning hub is great
I love my university😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 The University of Glasgow is a world-renowned institution, combining historic charm with cutting-edge research. Its vibrant campus, inspiring professors, and diverse student community create an environment where knowledge, creativity, and global opportunities truly flourish.
Lovely campus, great to do Uni work in. Though the wifi can let you down at times despite mostly being good
a very nice place to study i can follow teachers cause they teach us patiently
Good university, wifi could use some improvement, often hard to connect to and maintain a connection.
Campus is okay, but often lecture rooms are old. Societies seem fine, as does the union although tickets are expensive. Careers service have not given me anything that has tangibly helped, in fact my tutor told me I couldn't do any better than my grades currently because I had a job. the wifi has never connected and I use my personal hotspot in class
the experience has overall been good so far though i havent been here for long. only negative is the wifi when in classes
great uni with the most incredible people. The best student union in the country, always putting on fun events that people actually go to. Some lecturers are not the best though and there isn’t that much participation in classes
Has a great experience at the university dorms. Maybe would appreciate if the exterior was better taken care off but apart from that all good.
I believe this is the best school during my life.
Made so many friends through accommodation, clubs and societies. Wifi has been an issue for my peers in multiple occasions, and there could be more help and guidance for careers in person. The students union is one of the best things about Glasgow University, with its thriving beer bar and always has events going on. The campus is good, but some buildings could be refurbished as they’re quite old and dingy at times.
I can’t comment much bra he I just started my academic journey here. However, the campus is enormous with many beautiful and historic buildings. There seem to be many services to help students succeed.
As an international student I feel very welcome in the university
Great campus, but often sometimes too crowded. Occasionally wifi disappears. Amazing SU!
My experience at this university has been awesome so far, especially in the library, where I wish to spend as much time as possible.
Although somewhat new to the University and from the events I have attended, I believe UofG is not only packed with historical & architectural significance, but also offers more than enough support to its students, whether its financial, personal or academic support.
I have only just started, but my time at Glasgow has began with a feeling that I am in the right place at the right time.
This is the best university experience one could ask for.
There are many events in the welcome week but maybe many people wanna join them so the experience of some events were not so good. Like I attended three events with my friends but we felt not too good cuz the physical items were not similar as the things they promote on the social media and many people needed to wait until someone went out but the time was limited. But I know there are many obstacles like the lack of places, materials or staffs.
Great study spaces and sport facilities
The University gives Hogwarts feel. So much to have fun and learn!
Overall great experience so far. Not had much luck with getting a job, not too sure where the careers service are located.
Perfect experience and all the people are so nice
Very good place, already booked for next year
Perfect life in Glasgow. Scottish people are kind
I love it Everything is perfect
I really like The Ballet School student accommodation. All the staff are very nice and helpful. I especially like Gaynor, and it’s always a pleasure to chat with her. The room is comfortable and the environment is great, with excellent facilities. My year in Glasgow has felt warmer because of this place.
The school provides an excellent learning environment, with supportive staff and inspiring teachers.
A fantastic apartment, just like your home
The location is super convenient—just a short walk from the University of Glasgow and close to public transport. The staff are friendly and always ready to help.
Spending a year at the University of Glasgow was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
Amazing staff and supervisors for my PhD studies. One the the world's best universities in the friendliest city in the world.
beautiful architecture and study spaces. cool places to explore as a student
Really great university with excellent facilities and students union. The lecturers are all spot on, especially in the Mathematics and Computing Science schools. I'm going into third year, and I'm really enjoying my time here so far.
Terrible experience – not recommended for students! 1. The building is supposed to be student accommodation, but many non-students live here, and it’s often extremely noisy even late at night, making it hard to study or sleep; 2. Security is a major issue – people can freely enter the building without checks, and some have even managed to open other residents’ doors, which is completely unacceptable; 3. The location is very remote, requiring at least a 20–30 minute walk to campus every day; 4. Staff at reception have been seen washing shoes and dirty cleaning cloths in the shared laundry machines, which is extremely unhygienic and inconsiderate; 5. If you lose something in the common areas, the reception refuses to check the CCTV footage, claiming it’s to “protect human rights” – this sounds more like an excuse to cover for theft, possibly involving non-student residents. If you’re looking for a safe, quiet, and student-focused place to live, this is definitely not it.
Very good and I really like it
comfortable and friendly living experience
people are very nice here. people are very nice here. people are very nice here.hhhh
The professors are all very nice and the official website system is very convenient.
Everything is good here, beautiful environment, friendly staff, happy to spend every day
all ok My school is a beautiful place where students come to learn and grow. It has spacious classrooms, helpful teachers, and many facilities like a library, science labs, and sports fields."
10/10 Experience! I would definitely recommend anyone to study in the University of Glasgow
I'm particularly happy to stay here. The front desk staff here are all very friendly.
Sometimes hard to connect to wifi.
I've had a wonderful experience living here. The location is excellent — safe, convenient, and close to everything I need. The staff are always helpful and responsive, making the whole experience stress-free. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and I especially love the social spaces that make it easy to meet new people and feel part of a community. Internet has been super reliable, which is perfect for both study and leisure. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great student accommodation. Luoerjia Long♥
It’s a good choice, depending on what you want to study for your degree.
I have been having a wonderful tome studying at the University of Glasgow. The University and the programs are highly ranked. The courses are interesting and varied. The university offers a large number of clubs, societies, and activities throughout the academic year. The university also offers career support and opportunities for students to prepare their life after graduation.
Living in Kelvingrove House has been one of the highlights of my student life in Glasgow. Its unbeatable location means I can literally roll out of bed and walk to class — no more setting five alarms or rushing through breakfast. That extra sleep has been life-changing! But what truly sets it apart is the room size. My room is HUGE — every friend who’s visited has been blown away by how spacious it is. It's rare to find such a generously sized room at this price point, which makes the value for money absolutely incredible. The reception team, especially Beth, deserves a special shoutout. She’s not only super helpful when it comes to collecting parcels or solving any issues, but she also brings a real sense of community to the place. From handing out cookies and fresh fruit to hosting fun little events like quizzes and games with prizes — there’s always something to look forward to. Kelvingrove House isn’t just a place to stay,I’ll always remember this experience fondly. Xaoqi Guo♥
This is a wonderful university. I think all the teachers are very friendly.
Most of the time was great, but we were asked to pay for a vacuum cleaner that we didn’t break.
Absolutely fantastic university! Enjoyed myself on campus which is just beautiful. The staff are also friendly and helpful. All other services are also great.
The university offers a wide range of resources and provides targeted support for students.
Good university with lots of ways to get involved!
