I've been living in scotway house for 6 months and I must say it's the worst accomodation I have lived in my student life. I've lived in 3 different private accomodation throughout my uni life. This accomodation does not live up to this expectation at all. The service is a 0/10, so not good value for money. Ive had water leaking into my room for 2 months and I have complaint about it, they still havent done anything about it, and kept delaying. It's still not fixed. The apartment above you creeks all the time although it's a brand new building. The worst is that I've been getting flies into my room for the last 4 months and have been complaining and they have not sorted the situation. The flies arent from my bin or from my window or vent as they are closed when I spit them. It could be because all the pipe lines are built within the building instead of outside , so I would hear water gushing through. It is so terrible and I cant wait until my contract ends.
Seen and stayed in better. Etap hotel has better service and is cheaper. Surely you could book a semester there and have a better time. Maybe if staff was better the building would be. #justsaying #noonewilldoanything #staffoncellphonemostofshifts #itsshit #badservice
Regret my decision. Anyone out there wishing to take over my agreement? I’m probably not the only one here wanting to leave.. I completely understand it’s new but they need to fix the teething problems because there is so much better out there. Regretting not sticking to collegelands now
Nice location and easy to get to, brand new this year which was nice but extremely dusty and dirty due to external works still ongoing. Pretty basic inside. No bathroom storage, no bin no microwave. Cheap fridge which should be built in. An easy option but mostly international students. The main issue is the fire alarm which goes off every day nearly sometimes twice a day which makes it hard to get any work done as constantly leaving to wait for fire engines. Need to have fines in place as other halls do. Gym is ok but needs to have cleaning products for after each use as can be a bit gross at the end of the day. Circuit laundry room is pricey about £4 for a proper wash and £1.60 ish for drying. Decent for a year but any longer better to get an actual apartment privately
