Easy to walk to from some halls
I have to give a satisfactory feedback.
Overall, they're great. Communication is effective, security are mostly good and there's a good range of facilities, although some could do with updating.
This phrase comes to mind - 'It ticks all the boxes!'
Great experience and the tutors are helpful
Derby university is a small friendly uni to come too. It's not to big where you can get lost but not to small where you can not pursue your dreams.
The city is nice, it's easy to access all of the necessary amenities, however the societies seem badly organised.
Overall I've really enjoyed derby
Lecturers have helped me with so much, I haven't joined any clubs but there's loads of them to join, wifi in all parts of uni just log in with student Id, great place! B
Helpful staff at admissons and enrolment. Lecturers reply to emails quickly. Facilities are modern. Blends cafe is relaxing. Open days are informative. Student support and wellbeing services have helped me get back into study as a student parent.
Derby is such a good university for sports teams and societies, love the team derby family feeling.
Great uni , the lecturers know what they are talking about and the location is great
Loving my time at the University of Derby! They have a lot of great facilities such as the Student Well-Being Center and the Careers Center :) And my course is amazing (Creative Expressive Therapies). They have a huge range of courses, and some wonderful spaces. If you're looking for a course in the arts or the therapeutic sector, then I recommend this uni, as it has been a great experience for me and I'm learning so much. Although, obviously you'll know for sure if you come for an open day, because different universities suit different personalities. Choose wisely! :)
Awful experience, transferring to Lincoln
Great university for facilities and clubs ! Campus is far from town and train station though. The uni bus is expensive, unreliable and doesn't run on a Friday night or a weekend (which makes it hard to travel to town/train station if you live near campus). The main atrium and library are great but wifi sucks
The food facilities on site are too expensive for students, and the subway always has a queue at least 20 minutes long so you can't get one in a lecture break. The car park is utter sh** and is ran by a load of incompetent people that target individuals by ticketing some and not others and also by picking and choosing who is let in when me the car park is allegedly 'full'. The lecturers are okay and some of the lecture theatres are, but a lot of them are uncomfortable to sit in for so long and you end up with a bad back.
I was at the Buxton campus, but I have had a great uni experience, Lecturers are friendly, make lectures interesting
Lovely staff & good facilities, internet available
Great uni! help is easy to find and the lecturers are friendly, engaging and extremely useful especially in individual tutorials.
