Overall I'm having a great time together with my partner as there's super friendly staff, and great amenities paired with the wonderful location at the heart of the UoP. Love the seasonal events where residents can come together and socialize during days like Christmas, St Patricks Day, Easter, etc. Would certainly recommend!

I have lived here for 3 years and I’ve never had any huge issues. It is a great place to live and the social areas are a huge benefit. The central location makes life a lot easier and enables me to do more stuff at uni, since I’m always nearby. The staff are always there to help out and are lovely lovely people. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I have absolutely loved living at Middle Street this year. The room has been amazing - so cosy but very spacious! The staff are absolutely incredible and they’ve made me feel so welcome and happy being here. I’ve made lots of friends and love going to the social events that they put on - the 12 days of Christmas has been amazing and really enjoyable.

I really enjoyed living here with my boyfriend, it’s great that all the bills are included and it is in a good location. All the facilities are great and there is social opportunities throughout the year all provided, the gym is particularly good as it’s quiet and clean so you can go whenever. The reception team Jon, Kayleigh and Vicky are very helpful and friendly they always resolve any problems quickly and are happy to have a chat. Can’t fault the place it’s really nice if you’re thinking of living here you should!

The accommodation is very clean, nice gym. all the staff are very nice and helpful.. Kayleigh and Vicky are very helpful and friendly. Not recommended if you want a quite place as sometimes students are very noisy in social hub till midnight and If you wish to complain about noise in the social hub at midnight, staff are not available at reception after 5pm. Feels like I was paying too much for it. Also, this accommodation is not eligible for a parking permit if you wish to obtain a parking permit from the council.

As a student, it is the most beautiful accommodation where you can experience comfort and convenience at the maximum level. Kayleigh and Jonathan, especially Vicky, are trying very hard to be the best in their work. I would like to thank them from here.

I lived at this property for around 11 months with my husband - who came to the UK as my dependant. Although the studio we took initially seemed expensive (£996 PCM), but when you consider that all the bills were included in the rent, it turned out to be a bargain for the facilities we got. The city centre is a 10/15 minute walk from the property, making our lives very convenient in terms of grocery runs or catching the train/bus to go to work. The property has amazing communal space too and unlimited free hot drinks! More importantly though, the management (Vicky & Kayleigh) were unbelievable with us! They were always friendly, accessible and helpful; and we can’t thank them enough for an amazing stay! If you have the budget, this is the place you want to live in!

Having a lovely room with a kitchen and washroom is definitely a plus. It must be convenient and comfortable for your daily needs. Absolutely amazing common room with lots of games and a big TV must be a lot of fun. It's also great to have helpful staff like Vicky, Kayleigh and Iulia and receptionist Jon who can assist you. I had a great time staying in Middle Street during my semester abroad. The studio I stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. Everything in the building is rather easy-to-use with an access card. The social facilities are great as well, from the common kitchens to the working spaces. What made the difference was the staff; Kayleigh and Vicky were always super friendly and ready to help. Whenever I had an issue, they listened to me very carefully and came up with solutions. I really appreciated staying at Middle Street and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place that combines calm and social life!
It was a really good experience I loved here for 4 years and it was easy to get to uni and things like the library and grocery stores we a minimum of 5 minutes away also I loved Vicky and Lulia helped out whenever I had a problem
I stayed at Middle street for a short duration and I just loved it from infrastructure to management. If only I hadn’t booked my accommodation for next year earlier I’d continue to stay there for next year aswell.

Living at this accommodation has been a great experience. I stayed for exactly three years and have nothing but good things to say. Location wise, it is probably the most suitable for students as it is near to almost everything! Lovely and very helpful staff, who are willing to accommodate your needs whenever. Spacious common areas such as study and social places where you can interact with neighbours and make friends for life - as it is my case! I had a great time living here, valuable and safe homebase
We had a wonderful time staying at Middle Street despite the COVID situation. Vicky, Iulia and the team were so caring and answered all our questions. It was all COVID safe and maintenance issues were sorted quickly. The flat felt properly designed with a lot of storage space taken into consideration. The internet uses Glide which is fast when wired but didn't always connect straight away over WiFi. We found the coffee area to be super useful and the gym was definitely a plus too! We were sad to not have been able to take advantage of the social areas but we can imagine that the events would have been fun as the social area is huge and has lots of amenities. Overall we had a great time and were sad to leave.
Middle street is amazing. It’s literally right next to everything you could possible need, the university, the shops, the pubs, the clubs and so much more. It’s not just the location which is why I love this place though. It’s the people downstairs who work here who always do the most for us students. Even during the lockdown they managed to set up social events for us. I am here for my second year of living at middle street and I am living here for my third year as well. It is definitely worth it. I am living here with my partner so it very reasonable for money. In addition, the social areas are always clean and presentable. There is also areas downstairs which you can study, as well as a pool table and a football table and two big TVs and a PS4. It is a student accommodation. Any student would love to live here.
I've loved my time at Middle Street and would recommend it to anyone who wants their own space whilst still being able to get the feels for student living. Slight issue with the WiFi once in a while because they use Glide which is used by all of the student accommodations across Portsmouth. The staff are awesome and so lovely and helpful, definitely the best part about living here.
A great experience. But my experience was mainly ruined by the Pandemic. So I unfortunately couldn't get the full experience. But overall I think this place is a good place for students despite being a bit expensive.
The location is ideal for my course, it is literally right next door! The property is ideally situated with restaurants, bars, gunwharf quays, supermarkets and all major transport links within close walking distance. There is very little noise disturbance and the area is very safe. The reception team are exceptional and are truly a credit to the company. They are warm, friendly and extremely welcoming. No problem is to big for them to assist with. They have helped me through many personal matters and are always available to lend a comforting ear. I can not praise them highly enough. The facilities and social events are second to none and they have went above and beyond in light of the circumstances regarding the pandemic and lockdown. I am so glad that I chose this property to stay in during this period, as it has made my students and mental health so easy to keep on track. I would definitely recommend this property to students looking for residence.

Great place! Everything is being taking care of for you so you don't need to worry about anything besides your studies. The staff are amazing! very nice and welcoming people. React sometimes within minutes to maintenance calls. Would very much recommend.
Best place to live in Portsmouth, highly recommended! The building is located within a few minutes walking distance from the city centre and Uni. Everything is always sparkling clean (and I am obsessed with cleaning), during the year there were a lot of cool social events. Most importantly, the accommodation has brilliant staff. They always greet you with a smile and solve any issue within hours. Everything is taken care of for you, you literally can relax and focus on your studies. I really can not stress this enough, this is by far the greatest student accommodation.

First of all, I would like to express my sincere thanks to you and the Unilife team. Every time I go out from the door of Unilife, I can get your greetings, just like my family, which makes people feel warm. I never need to worry about my studio, because I can get your first help in any situation. So I think the luckiest thing to come to Portsmouth is to meet Unilife and meet your entire team. That's the biggest reason I'll stay with Unilife.

I would not recommend living here because they illegally steal students' deposits by adding clauses in their tenancy agreement contacts. They have refused to give back my deposit unless I agree to give them half, even though what they are charging students for is illegal! Good: 1. Mostly Clean 2. Friendly staff Bad: 1. They charge £90 each time you forget your key in your room. 2. The rooms and building gets VERY HOT and no cooling systems to prevent this. 3. If you’re a first-year student or would like to meet new people, I would not recommend here as you will find it hard to meet new people as everyone has their own studio and don’t integrate. 4. They illegally take most of your deposit. They deduce for random things. 5. You may have to pay an additional £100 per month for council tax - even if you’re still a student. If you don’t then you’ll be threatened with court like I was. 6. The coffee machine is not available 80% of the time.

Amazing place - large studios, all new and communal rooms over two floors. Free laundry, free tea & coffee all day with croissants in the morning. Great events all year around - The team are amazing Iulia and Vicky always smiling and helpful. The gym is great and there is plenty of space to study.
£1,200 a month for a studio. It’s crazy! My rooms view was a tower block! I now rent a one nice spacious one bedroom flat in southsea next to the beach for £900 that also includes rent and utilities bills. Middle street was nice! but a rip off! You can get more for your money with renting privately!!
Exceptional location, only a few minutes walk from the uni quarter, Frank and Luke are great and very helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. The building is very clean, studios spacious and have everything you need. Would highly recommend.
