Honestly, living here has been quite frustrating . The fire alarm goes off way too often, and it is usually triggered by the main Sherwood Hall building, not the townhouse. It’s incredibly disruptive, especially when it happens late at night or early in the morning. The kitchen is way too small for the number of people living here. It’s a constant struggle to cook or store food without bumping into someone or running out of space. The Wi-Fi ( eduroam ) is another major issue. It’s unreliable and slow, which makes studying or using digital devices pretty difficult most days. Other than the downsides of Sherwood Hall ,specifically the townhouse, it does have some advantages . It is in a really good location, 2 minutes away from the David Ross, and the distance to and from your lectures are short making it convenient. The people here are nice and the view is pretty nice. Overall, would I recommend it. no , however if the positives are something you prioritise then sure. read more
Sherwood was great! Had such a good time and met loads of new friends there considering the lockdown restrictions. The location was good as it was right near the gym and not far from the coop either. The only downside of the hall was the food which was absolutely awful, the chefs should be embarrassed of what they cooked for us! read more
A great way to make friends in catered halls is easier. However, you need to come out of your comfort zone and it will be easier. New place and that. read more
