I lived in Kett house for my first year (2020), which granted was the peak of the pandemic so i imagine my experience was worse due to that. The rooms are fine, the bathrooms were pretty decent and easy to clean. Kitchens are based on luck, some flats have large kitchens whilst others are cramped especially for 8 people to share. If you are looking for the most social experience possible, I'd opt for Ziggs. They're way cheaper and most decent parties are held there. Kett is small and unless you're really lucky, its unlikely that parties (that are worth going to) are happening there as there's only 6 flats. On the up side, it does feel safe as its small, you're really near medcentre and bluebell road so Tescos is 5 mins away. If I could go back, id live in Ziggs, you'll find that a lot of people who live in en-suite accommodations are generally more quiet or to themselves anyway, so think about wether that would suit you. Smaller so able to meet almost everyone in the whole block.
So overpriced, such s*** kitchens
Pretty good halls, close to the centre of campus but poor social space.
Kinda alright, but kitchen is rubbish, plus no social area at all!!!
Our whole accomodation block only holds 48 people which at first I was so dissapointed about livving in a small place as I thought it would be quiet and boring. However it's so great as it is so social. I know pretty much everyone in our accomodation block and we are always at a different flat for pre drinks. It's also great for noise, it's so quiet. No other students come up to this end of campus unless they live over this way. That means no rowdy students outside after a night out! I really wouldn't choose to live anywhere else on campus :)
